코퍼스에 기반한 한국 중학생의 영어 유의어 연어능력에 관한 연구

This study investigates Korean middle school students' collocation ability of English synonymous verbs and adjectives. The focus is on how well Korean middle school students understand the difference in collocation between these synonymous words. The subjects are a total of 73 middle school students. They are divided into two groups according to their grade on midterm exams, a high level group and a low level group. Five pairs of verbs and adjectives, such as look/see, tell/say, large/big, little/small, tall/high were tested. The results are as follows. First, students are better in adjectives than verbs. Second, there are some questions which are pretty easy and familiar, but students do not answer correctly. This indicates that simple exposure to sentences with these words is not enough for foreign learners to acquire the appropriate use of these five pairs of synonymous words. Third, it is found that learners' general English ability correlates with their collocation ability. Fourth, no regularity can be found in their errors. This means that English grammar is not fully internalized, so that they answer the questions according to fragmentary knowledge of English and their familiarity with some particular English expressions.

과일이나 식물체 등애 천연적으로 존재하면서 돌연변이억제나 항산화효과 등, 암이나 성인병 등에 대한 예방효과를 보이는 것으로 알려진 phytocherilical을 중심으로 aminopept건ase 활성 억제 능력을 조사하여 암전툴과정과 혈관신생과정에서 발된이 증가하는 것으로 알려진 arnjnoepeptidase N APh억제제를 스크리닝하고 암전이 예방이나 암치료에 활용하고자 본 연구를 수행하게 되었다 Leucine andnopeptidase에 대한 식물유래성분(betulinic acid, curcvmin, indomethacin, ellagic acid quercetin, nocodazole, urso:ic acid, resveratrol, h)'pericin, caffeic acid)의 찰성억제능력을 조사하여 그중 촬성억제능력이 탁월한 curcundn, indomethacin, betulinlc 3c펀의 APN enzyme netics를 수헝 하였다. Curcumin의 andnopeptidase 띠 활성을 억제하는 농도와 혈관신생의 억제 농도가 일치하고 APN 단클론항체 처리한 HT1080 세포의 유세포측정결과 curcumin·라 APN 단클론항체가 경정적으로 APN예 결합됨을 확인함에 따라 curcumin이 암전이를 억제하는 기전이 APN 억제에 기인한 것으로 추정되는 결과이다. 한편 Betulinic ac,김는 APN 활성에는 영향을 미치지 못하고, 미토콘드리아의 막전 위를 떤화시키고 caspase근 활성을 증가시켜 apoptosis를 유발하였다. 포한 betulinic acid로 tlibe formation assay와 」'n ufuo CAM assay를 수행한 결과 혈관신생과정을 억제하는 것이 확인되었다 따라저 Betulinic 3fid와 curcumin은 서로 작용기전은 다르지만, 암전이 떼방이나 암치료에 활용가치가 높은 약물로 인식되었다. This study is to evaluate phytochemicals that have inhibitory activity on aminopeptidase N (APN) which is transmembrane metalloprotease to play functional role in matrix degradation and invasion by tumor cells. At first, we did screening of APN inhibitors among the phytochemicals with chemopreventive effect including betulinic acid, curcumin, indomethacin, ellagic acid, quercetin, nocadazole, ursolic acid, reveratrol, hypericin, and caffeic acid etc. by the fluorometric assay using L-alanine 4-methylcoumaryl-7-amide(Ala-AMC) as a substrate. Curcumin has inhibitory effect on APN activity as well as angiogenesis in a same condition(IC_(50) value=about 10μM). Curcumin on APN activity works as a noncompeptitive ingibitor. FCM analysis shows the competitive binding of curcumin and monoclonal antibody of APN to HT1080 cell. This results means that curcumin blocks the angiogenesis by the mechanism of APN inhibition. Betulinic acid which is working as a inhibitor of Leu aminopeptidase, dose not inhibit the aminopeptidase N activitiy. But betulinic acid blocks angiogenesis from the results of tube formation assay and in vivo CAM assay. The angiogenesis blocking mechanism of betulinic acid is supposed to induce apoptosis. These results suggest that curcumin and betulinic acid can be used as angiogenesis blocker and chemopreventive agent of cancer despite of different mechanism.

We have developed a one-step synthesis of benzofurans from o-iodophenol and various terminal alkynes, by using Pd catalyst supported on nano-sized carbon balls (NCB) under copper- and ligand free conditions. This recyclable catalyst could be reused more than 5 times in the same heteroannulation reaction. The results have demonstrated that diverse 2-substituted benzofurans with tolerant functional groups can be prepared simply and conveniently under these conditions.

Cultural sensation by appearance of Elvis Aaron Presley is thought to have been greatly influenced by spread of popular culture beginning to form with the development of mess media in USA that was changed rapidly after the war, changing aspect of popular music in U.S.A through the media development and teenager culture of USA that has rapidly emerged. Elvis intended to change into 'music to be seen' deviating from 'music to be simply listened to' with expressing the conversion of sexual consciousness, defiance to older generation and a sense of value on wealth, and the like, and also suggested a new culture and style to the young people at that time. Flow of Elvis's fashion may be categorized into the classifications such as the fashion in the period. First, Formative period(before 1954) distinguished by pimp look and sideburns with tough image and wild clothes. Second, Establishment period(1954-57) may be categorized into the hot rockabilly style which showed a glittering fashion by brilliant and colorful costumes, the cool rockabilly style which changed him to a fashionable star of modem image(1958-60). Third, re-heyday(after 1968) where a brilliant and bold decoration was displayed. In Elvis fashion, the masculine sensualism, defiance to main value and expression of luxury and consuming culture, etc. are included as a unique aesthetic consciousness. 'Expression of masculine sensualism' represented the sensualism through sexual objectification of men's body by men's sexual ostentation which was prohibited. 'Defiance to main value' means that attempts of non-mainstream image for social class are expressed with an exercise of power by young people through the public. Although the Elvis look has fanned an anti-culture, it was expressed and accepted as having a normally capitalistic appearance. In addition, it being thought of as the standard, symbolizing a success and a wealth through the presentation of image which accepted this material benefit, we may classify this into 'expression of luxury and consuming culture'.

The highly pathogenic (HP) H5N1 influenza virus is endemic in many countries and has a great potential for a pandemic in humans. The immune-enhancing prowess of ginseng has been known for millennia. We aimed to study whether mice and ferrets fed with Red Ginseng could be better protected from the lethal infections of HP H5N1 influenza virus than the infected unfed mice and ferrets. We fed mice and ferrets with Red Ginseng prior to when they were infected with HP H5N1 influenza virus. The mice and ferrets fed with a 60-day diet containing Red Ginseng could be protected from lethal infections by HP H5N1 influenza virus (survival rate of up to 45% and 40%, respectively). Interferon-α and -γ antiviral cytokines were significantly induced in the lungs of mice fed Red Ginseng, compared to mice fed an unsupplemented diet. These data suggest that the diet with the immune-enhancing Red Ginseng could help humans to overcome the infections by HP H5N1 influenza virus.

Brucellosis is the most common zoonosis worldwide, which is caused by Brucella spp. In humans, it can be mainly occurred by direct contact with infected animals or consumption of contaminated dairy products. This study focused on human brucellosis caused by B. melitensis discovered from Chinese worker in Korea in 2015. We investigated molecular epidemiological evidence to find the infection source. We first performed several PCR methods including 16S rRNA PCR, multiplex PCR and real-time PCR to identify Brucella species. We also conducted MLVA typing for epidemiological trace-back analysis. The isolate from the patient was confirmed to B. melitensis through Brucella-specific PCR. In clustering analysis with B. melitensis from foreign countries, this human isolate was correlated with B. melitensis isolates from humans and sheep in China by 99.9% similarity. Thus, we assumed the brucellosis patient has been already infected in China followed by migration to Korea according to molecular epidemiological analysis with history evidence. Moreover, we suggest it needs to take measures to reduce the risk for intercountry transmission of brucellosis due to the influx of infected people from abroad.
