        Factors Affecting Logistics Capabilities for Logistics Service Providers: A Case Study in Vietnam

        This study aimed to investigate the factors affecting Logistics capabilities for Logistics Service Providers in Vietnam. Researchers inherited and developed based on previous research to focus on analyzing and evaluating dynamics, measuring Logistics capabilities, and the factors affecting Logistics capabilities for Logistics Service Providers. The logistics capabilities Model is used based on three factors: customer demand management capability, innovation capability, and information management capability. The empirical analysis used data from the survey data of l90 managers of Logistics Service Providers in Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hue, Hanoi with reliable tools (SPSS 26.0 software). The data were analyzed by frequencies, percentages, means, Pearson’s Linear Correlation Coefficient, exploratory factor analysis, and multi-linear regression model based on the survey data. The research results identified the following factors affecting Logistics capabilities for Logistics Service Providers: innovation capability has the strongest impact on Logistics capabilities; customer demand management capability has the following strong effects on Logistics capabilities; and finally, information management capability that affects Logistics capabilities. There is also a positive relationship between all factors and Logistics capabilities. Several recommendations are further suggested to enhance to improve Logistics capabilities for Logistics Service Providers in Vietnam.

        High-performance nonenzymatic electrochemical glucose biosensor based on AgNP-decorated MoS2 microflowers

        A facile hydrothermal route was used to synthesize silver nanoparticle (AgNP)-decorated microflower molybdenum disulfide (MoS2-MF) for bio-electrochemical platform fabrication to detect nonenzymatic glucose concentration. The morphologies of the materials were studied by scanning electron microscopy, and their structural characteristics were analyzed by X-ray diffractometry and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The electrochemical characteristics of the AgNPs/MoS2-MF/PtE biosensor were studied by cyclic voltammetry. The obtained data indicated that the developed nonenzymatic glucose sensor has a large linear response between 1.0 and 15.0 mM, a limit of detection of as low as 1.0 mM, and a sensitivity of 46.5 μA nM-1 cm-2. The biosensor also displayed outstanding selectivity, stability, reproducibility, and repeatability. Additionally, the AgNPs/MoS2-MF/ PtE biosensor was utilized to detect glucose concentration in real sample and showed practical application potential for glucose detection.

        Fuel cell hybrid electric vehicle is an attractive solution to reduce pollutants, such as noise and carbon dioxide emission. This study presents an approach for energy management and control algorithm based on energetic macroscopic representation for a fuel cell hybrid electric vehicle that is powered by proton exchange membrane fuel cell, battery and supercapacitor. First, the detailed model of the fuel cell hybrid electric vehicle, including fuel cell, battery, supercapacitor, DC-DC converters and powertrain system, are built on the energetic macroscopic representation. Next, the power management strategy was applied to manage the energy among the three power sources. Moreover, the control scheme that was based on back-stepping sliding mode control and inversed-model control techniques were deduced. Simulation tests that used a worldwide harmonized light vehicle test procedure standard driving cycle showed the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

        Critical properties around the ferromagnetic-paramagnetic phase transition in La<sub>0.7</sub>Ca<sub>0.3-x</sub>A<sub>x</sub>MnO<sub>3</sub> compounds (A = Sr, Ba and <i>x</i> = 0, 0.15, 0.3)

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Influence of alkaline earth element doping in the A-site on the structure, magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of La<SUB>0.7</SUB>Ca<SUB>0.3-x</SUB>A<SUB>x</SUB>MnO<SUB>3</SUB> (A = Sr and Ba; <I>x</I> = 0, 0.15 and 0.3) perovskite manganites have been investigated. X-ray diffraction data indicates that samples <I>x</I> = 0 and 0.15 crystallize in the orthorhombic structure (space group <I>Pnma</I>), whereas samples <I>x</I> = 0.3 belong to the rhombohedral structure (space group <I>R</I>-3<I>c</I>). Substitution of Sr or Ba for Ca plays an important role in the increase of Curie temperature (<I>T</I> <SUB>C</SUB>) and modification the nature of the magnetic phase transition in materials. Sample <I>x</I> = 0 exhibits the first-order phase transition (FOPT) with a large magnetic entropy change (Δ<I>S</I> <SUB>m</SUB>), whereas samples <I>x</I> = 0.15 and 0.3 exhibit the second-order phase transition (SOPT) characterizations and the moderate values of Δ<I>S</I> <SUB>m</SUB>. Using the modified Arrott plots method, the critical behaviors around <I>T</I> <SUB>C</SUB> for SOPT samples have been investigated through the values of critical parameters (<I>T</I> <SUB>C</SUB>, <I>β</I>, <I>γ</I>, and <I>δ</I>). We pointed out that Ba-doping favors establishing long-range ferromagnetic order, contrary to the case of Sr-doping.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Sr or Ba-doped La<SUB>0.7</SUB>Ca<SUB>0.3</SUB>MnO<SUB>3</SUB> leads to modify the nature of the phase transition. </LI> <LI> Ba-doping favors establishing long-range FM order, contrast with Sr-doping. </LI> <LI> The effective exponents vary non-monotonically in the asymptotic region. </LI> </UL> </P>

        Optimization-Based Fuzzy Energy Management Strategy for PEM Fuel Cell/Battery/Supercapacitor Hybrid Construction Excavator

        Fuel cell hybrid electric construction equipment (FCHECE) is known as a promising solution to achieve the goal of energy saving and environment protection. Energy management strategy is a key technology of FCHECE, which splits the energy fl ow between power sources. This paper presents a novel optimal energy management strategy for a hybrid electric-powered hydraulic excavator system to enhance power performance, power sources lifespan, and fuel economy. As for the proposed powertrain configuration, fuel cell serves as a primary energy source, and supercapacitor and battery are considered as energy storages. The integration of supercapacitor and battery in fuel cell vehicle has advantages of improving power performance and storing the regenerative energy for future usage. An energy management strategy based on fuzzy logic control and a rule-based algorithm is proposed to effectively distribute the power between the three sources and reuse the regenerative energy. Furthermore, the parameters of the fuzzy logic system are optimized using the combination of a backtracking search algorithm which provides a good direction to the global optimal region and sequential dynamic programming as a local search method to fi ne-tune the optimal solution in order to reduce the hydrogen consumption and prolong the lifetime of the power sources. Simulation results show that the proposed energy management strategy enhances the vehicle performance, improves fuel economy of the FCHECE by 10.919%, increase battery and supercapacitor charge-sustaining capability as well as efficiency of the fuel cell system.

        Antimicrobial efficacy of extracts and constituents fractionated from <i>Rheum tanguticum</i> Maxim. ex Balf. rhizomes against phytopathogenic fungi and bacteria

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The antimicrobial efficacies of extracts and constituents fractionated from <I>Rheum tanguticum</I> rhizomes were evaluated by using <I>in vitro</I> and <I>in vivo</I> bioassay against seven phytopathogenic fungi and ten pathogenic bacteria, respectively. Dichloromethane and ethyl acetate soluble extracts derived from <I>R. tanguticum</I> rhizomes effectively controlled plant diseases caused by five fungi <I>Magnaporthe oryzae</I>, <I>Blumeria graminis</I> f. sp<I>. hordei, Colletotrichum coccodes, Phytophthora infestans,</I> and <I>Puccinia recondita</I> in <I>in vivo</I> whole plant bioassay. In addition, these extracts showed strong inhibitory activity against the bacterial growth of <I>Acidovorax avenae</I> subsp. <I>cattlyae</I> (Aac), <I>Clavibacter michiganensis</I> subsp. <I>michiganensis</I>, <I>Xanthomonas arboricola</I> pv. <I>pruni</I> (Xap), and <I>Pseudomonas syringae</I> pv. <I>actinidiae</I> (Psa), with MIC values ranging from 125 to 250μg/mL. The active extracts of <I>R. tanguticum</I> rhizomes were fractionated by using various and repeated chromatographic techniques to yield seven constituents that included three anthraquinones and four stilbenes. Notably, at concentrations ranging from 75 to 300μg/mL, physcion (<B>DH03</B>) and chrysophanol (<B>DH04</B>) were significantly effective in suppressing the development of barley powdery mildew (BPM) caused by <I>B. graminis</I> f. sp. <I>hordei,</I> with control values from 80 to 96.7%. Moreover, stilbenes rhapontigenin (<B>DH02</B>) and desoxyrhapontigenin (<B>DH05</B>) had a broad spectrum and potent activity against phytopathogenic bacteria; <B>DH05</B> effectively inhibited the bacterial growth of Aac, <I>Burkholderia glumae</I> and Psa at MICs ranging from 38 to 150μg/mL. In this paper, we report their antibacterial activity for the first time. The botanical materials containing anthraquinones and stilbenes were active against both phytopathogenic fungi and bacteria. These results suggested that <I>R. tanguticum</I> rhizomes could be used as a new source of antimicrobial substances for developing a botanical fungicide and bactericide to control plant diseases.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> <I>R. tanguticum</I> extracts exhibited activity against phytopathogenic fungi and bacteria. </LI> <LI> Seven anthraquinones and stilbenes from <I>R. tanguticum</I> were isolated and identified. </LI> <LI> <I>In vivo</I> antifungal activity of botanicals was evaluated by the whole plant bioassay. </LI> <LI> The isolated stilbenes effectively inhibited the growth of phytopathogenic bacteria. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>
