Geometry is prime mover in mathematics, and a system of mathematics got accomplished in the beginning of geometry. The geometry was developed by the ancient Greek's people, because the Greek's people had the logical thought. Under the logical thought Euclidean geometry got born, which formed the formal system of mathematics. Especially an Euclidean paralled axiom had been an object of a large number of scholars, and finally came out of discovery of Non-Euclidean geometry. In this thesis Ilooked into borning process of Non-Euclidean geometry andnecessity of Non-Euclidean thought in mathematical thought.

When People's Republic of China made its appearance on Oct. 1, 1949, an era of socialism came into its existence for the first time in the country. As a result, its social culture was full of a new wave of change, and the literary society of the country had to face change in its quality. The change meant that the people in the literary society, adopting Marxism and Maoism began to study and write literary works. In editing literary history, the most conspicuous argument was: How fast they write literary histories in a new viewpoint, following the demand of college literary history course. Comprehensively examining literary histories which emerged during the 1950-60s, I find that there are three-phase transition: single or two/three-person collaboration, group edition in which teachers and students took part together, and collaboration of professional scholars in which more than 10 scholars participated. Succeeding to my previous research which examines the literary histories of the beginning of twentieth century, this paper seeks to examine the changes of editors' viewpoints and of editing system by taking a look at Chinese literary histories published during 1950-60s. For this purpose, 1 compare differences and similarities in editions of diachronic stifle literary history published in this period, and then both analyse and compare Chinese Literary History(1958) edited by the 1955 entrance students of Chinese Department in Peking University (北京大學中文系文學專門化1955 級集體編著『中國文學史) Chinese Literary History(1962) by Literature Institute of Chinese Social Academy(中國社會科學硏究文學硏究所中國文學史編寫組 『中國文學史). In modern China where politic짓 arguments and struggles were quite severe--particularly during the 1950-60s when politics taught literature, literary worldview of historical materialism following Marxism and Maoism became dominant. On this basis, they evaluated and judged the ancient Chinese literature in terms of class, people, reality, and reformation. But applying crude theories to literature, they produced immature, one-sided, and mechanical judgment of literature. Yet this tendency is considered as an inevitable process of history.
Effect of Bambusae caulis in Liquamen on Streptozocin-Induced Diabetic C57BL/6 Mice

Bambusae caulis in Liquamen is one of the important herbal medicine produced by heating bamboo indirectly and is used for treatment of stroke, hypertension, and diabetes etc. Recently the mechanism of clinical effects on Bambusae caulis in Liquamen has been studied. This experiment was conducted to confirm the clinical effects of Bambusae caulis in Liquamen on type 1 diabetes and its related mechanism. We divided C57BL/6 mice into 3 groups and induced them to be type 1 diabetes by injection of streptozocin into peritoneum. The dosage of each group was 150 mg/kg once only, 140 mg/kg once only and 40 mg/kg for 5 days respectively. The two groups injected streptozocin for once took orally Bambusae caulis in Liquamen after the induction of diabetes, and the other one group was given Bambusae caulis in Liquamen during the diabetes inducing period. As the result, the two diabetes-induced groups showed blood glucose decreasing effect by Bambusae caulis in Liquamen on an average, but they didn't show the signiftcant differences statistically. But Bambusae caulis in Liquamen showed the anti-diabetic effect suppressing blood sugar rising trend during the diabetes inducing peried (P<0.05). The anti-oxidative effect of Bambusae caulis in Liquamen was measured with the hypoxanthine/xanthine oxidase (HX/XOD) system. The quantity of ROS was measured using DCFDA reagent indirectly. As the result, $10\%$ solution of Bambusae caulis in Liquamen showed anti-oxidative effect by scavenging $93.4\%$ superoxide as compared with control group. It is suspected that the anti-oxidative effect of Bambusae caulis in Liquamen suppressed the increase of blood glucose in the diabetes-inducing group. These results could be useful data to understand the effect of Bambusae caulis in Liquamen on type 1 diabetes and type 1 diabetes developing because ROS were closely connected with the induction and complications of diabetes.
Interface Engineering in Quasi-Magnetic Tunnel Junctions with an Organic Barrier

Spin polarized tunneling through a hybrid tunnel barrier of a Spin filter (SF) based on a EuO ferro-magnetic semiconductor and an organic semiconductor (OSC) (rubrene in this case) was investigated. For quasi-magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) structures, such as Co/rubrene/EuO/Al, we observed a strong spin filtering effect of the EuO layer exhibiting I-V curves with high spin polarization (P) of up to 99% measured at 4 K. However, a magnetoresistance (MR) value of 9% was obtained at 4.2 K. The low MR compared to the high P could be attributed to spin scattering caused by structural defects at the interface between the EuO and rubrene, due to nonstoichiometry in the EuO.
