To survive in outdoor environments, phorovoltaic modules rely on packaging materials to provide requisite durability. We analyzed the properties of encapsulant materials that are important for photovoltaic module packaging. The properties of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate(EVA) sheet in photovoltaic encapsulant materials have to meet conditions that are high optical transmittance, good adhesion and high cross-linking rate. The objective of this paper is to understand the property evaluation methods of EVA sheet. Through this research, we could confirm that properties of EVA sheet have an effect on durability and operating efficiency of photovoltaic module.

Background: To evaluate current practice and variability in contouring glioblastoma (GBL) gross target volume (GTV) and clinical target volume (CTV) among Korean radiation oncologists, eventually to establish a consensus guideline in the future. Methods: 9 representative cases of GBL differing in location, surgical extent, multiplicity, and midline crossing were chosen for the study. The MR images with simulation CT images from those cases were distributed to 15 radiation oncologists for GTV and CTV contouring. Contouring agreement was analyzed using the simultaneous truth and performance level estimation (STAPLE) algorithm consensus and kappa statistics. The agreement interpretation was evaluated using Landis and Koch`s interpretation of strength of agreement. GTV95 and CTV95 contours were obtained by STAPLE algorithm at the confi dence level of 95%. Results: No near perfect agreement was seen in any of the 9 cases. Substantial agreement of CTV delineation was seen in all but 1 case. In contrast, moderate agreement was seen in majority of cases regarding GTV delineation with substantial agreement in only 3 cases. Of the 15 radiation oncologists, 53-100% included the T2HSI within the CTV in the 9 cases. The mean maximal distance from the GTV to the CTV ranged 1.42- 3.17cm (median, 2.18cm). T2HSI was included within the CTV95 in all 9 cases. Conclusions: Only substantial agreement of CTV delineation was seen in a group of experts. Although heterogeneity exists in the inclusion of T2HSI and margins from GTVs, it seems reasonable to include the whole T2HSI volume in the initial CTV according to the STAPLE algorithm. Future consensus guideline including descriptions of margin status, inclusion of T2HSI, and dose-fractionation for GTV and CTV delineation in GBL is warranted and should be made upon a discussion between brain tumor radiation oncologists.

For producing wood plastic composites (WPCs) having lightweight and cost efficiency, a microcellular injection foaming process is applied in our present work. Two types of exothermic foaming agents (EFA) with different range of particle size are used for formation of microcellular structure in WPCs. This research examines effects of particle size and concentration of the exothermic foaming agents on mechanical and physical properties of WPCs. The average cell size in WPCs is decreased with increasing the content of exothermic foaming agents. The large foaming agent shows small cell size compared to the small foaming agent case. Cell population density of foamed WPCs increases with increasing the EFA content, but decreases with decreasing the size of EFA. Concerning density and void fraction of foamed WPCs, the density is reduced but the void fraction is increased with increasing the EFA concentration. For the flexural strength, increment of amount of EFA decreases the mechanical strength because of the increase of cell density and void fraction. Also, the smaller size foaming agent (an AC9000 case) increases more strength due to influence of EFA size.

A considerably high rate of abnormal deliveries of unknown etiology was observed among dairy cattles from November 1988 to February 1989 and Korean native cattles from January to April 1990. The abnormal deliveries consisted of abortions, stillbirths and calf deformities refers to as congenital arthrogryposis hydranencephaly (AH)syndrome. In order to know the level of Akabane antibody of dairy cattle raised in Kyungbuk province, serum neutralization test was conducted with Akabane virus(OBE-1 strain) and HmLu(Hamster lung) cell line. The results were summarized as follows. 1. During 4 months(Nov. 1988-Feb. 1989), abortion (3 heads), stillbirth(1 head) and congenital abnormalities(13 heads) of newborn were occurred in 17 dairy cattles raised in Kyungbuk province. 2. During 4 months(Jan. Apr. 1990), stillbirth(2 heads) and congenital deformities (13 heads) of newborn were occurred in 15 Korean native cattles raised in Kyungbuk province. 3. In Fey, and Apr. 1990, 1,005 dairy cattles at 99 farms were investigated on the actual condition of possessing Akabane antibody. The result was that 1,000 heads (99.9%) in 1,005 dairy cattles reacted as positive condition in Akabane antibody. The antibody titer was from 4 to over 256. 4. 189 heads (18.8%) of 1,005 dairy cattles werw below antibody titer 8 and 816 heads (81.2%) were over 16. 5. Akabane antibody titer of east coast legions(Pohang Yeongil etc) was all over 16, that of internal legions (Yeongju, Andong. etc) was relatively low. The rusult suggest that the vaccination for Akabane disease will be unnecessary for the time being because of possessing higher antibody titer reaction except the newly introduced cattle and Akabane virus was widely disseminated in kyungbuk province during the summer months in 1987 or 1988.

기존 열차제어 시스템은 궤도회로와 RFID, 트랜스폰더 등을 통하여 열차의 위치를 검지하고 있다. 그러나 센서 자체의 위치검지 정밀도가 낮아 열차위치 검지 오차가 커서 정밀한 위치제어에 제약이 있다. 본 논문에서는 RF 비콘과 레이저 센서, 높은 분해능의 타코미터 센서 융합을 통하여 열차의 절대위치를 cm 단위로 정밀하게 검지할 수 있는 열차 위치검지센서시스템을 제안하였다. 제안된 위치검지 센서는 RF 비콘에서 송신하는 ID 를 수신하여 구간을 인지하고, 레이저 센서를 이용하여 절대위치 기준점을 정밀하게 검지한다. 차축회전각도에 비례하여 발생하는 타코미터 펄스 수를 계수함으로써 절대위치 기준점으로부터 이동한 거리를 계산하여 열차의 위치를 계산한다. 본 센서를 이용할 경우보다 정밀한 열차 위치제어가 가능하며, 이를 통해 열차의 이용편리성과 운영효율을 높일 수 있다. Current train control system detects the train location using Track circuit, RFID, or Transfonder. However, the sensor precision is too low and it limits the precise train position control. In this paper, a train location sensor fusion system, consisting of the RF beacon, laser sensor, and high resolution tachometer with cm level accuracy, is proposed. The proposed system recognizes the section by RFID from RF beacon and senses the absolute reference position by laser sensor. By counting the tachometer pulses which are proportional to the axle rotation angle, the relative distance from the reference location is calculated. With the proposed sensor system, it is possible to control the train location more precisely and it will help to make train operation system more effective and efficient.
