        생물막공법을 이용한 슬러지 저감에 관한 연구

        Sludge reduction by biofilm processes in sewage treatment plants was studied. This resulted in a sharp reduction in the amount of sludge and improved water quality. This process maintains stable treatment independent of variations in temperature and pollution loading. Laboratory experiments and pilot plants tests were processed with raw waste water through the improved contact oxidation biofilm by biological endogenous phase. The obtained results were satisfactory. When the amount of sludge production, treatment efficiency, and economical efficiency are considered, 2.5 hours were the most efficient and economical. Also, stable and excellent treatment efficiency was maintained in spite of temperature change. The amount of sludge was sharply reduced by controling biological endogenous phase.

      • 벼 잎집무늬마름병에 대한 新尿素系 殺菌劑 Pencycuron 25% 水和劑의 效果

        In order to investigate effect of new urea fungicide Pencycuron for controlling Rhizoctonia solani causing sheath blight of rice, this experiment was conducted during the summer months in 1990 in a natural paddy field and indoor conditions. Foliar applications of Pencycuron WP reduced effectively with regard to the percent of infected culms and disease index attributed to the sheath blight fungus in comparison with control. No chemical injury of the fungicide was shown throughout the experiment. The inhibiting percent of mycelial development of sclerotia by the fungicide was 54% in comparison with check under the indoor conditions. With regard to economic mass control for rice major disease including blast, further study on the development of mixture formulation of the Pencycuron should be intensively carried out in the future for attaining yield increase of rice per unit area.

        한국어판 예일 틱 증상 평가척도 : 신뢰도 및 타당도 연구

        목 적 : 틱 증상의 심한 정도를 평가하기 위한 도구인 예일 틱 증상 평가척도(Yale Global Tic Severity Scale)를 한국판 가정 평가용 설문지 및 임상 평가용 척도로 개발하기 위하여 본 연구를 시행하였다. 방 법 : 예일 틱 증상 평가척도는 뚜렛 장애 및 기타 틱 장애에서 나타나는 운동틱과 음성틱 각각의 증상의 수, 빈도, 심한 정도, 복합성, 방해 정도 및 장해도를 포괄적으로 평가하도록 고안되어져 있다. 틱 증상을 주소로 정신과외래를 방문한 만 4.3세에서 19세까지의 100명의 환아 및 부모들을 대상으로 한국어로 번역한 예일 틱 증상 평가척도의 가정평가용 설문지를 평가전에 완료하도록 한 후, 면담을 통한 임상평가용 척도를 실시하였으며 수렴타당도 및 변별타당도의 검증을 위해 총괄적인 임상 인상척도-뚜렛 증후군, 강박장애, 주의력결립/과잉운동장애(Clinical Global Impression-TS, OCD, ADHD)를 시행하였다. 결 과 : 자료분석결과 내적일치도, 수렴타당도, 변별타당도 및 검사자간 신뢰도 모두 매우 높게 나타났으며 요인분석상 전 항목척도와 장해도는 운동틱과 음성틱에 해당하는 2개의 요인으로 묶여졌다. 결 론 : 본 연구결과 한국판 예일 틱 증상 평가척도의 높은 타당도 및 신뢰도가 입증되었으며 이는 향후 틱 증상의 객관적인 평가 및 정량화를 위해 유용하게 사용되어질 수 있을 것이다. Objectives : This study was carried out to develop the Korean form of Yale Global Tic Severity Scale(YGTSS)-family & clinical rating version. The severity of motor and phonic tics was rated according to five separate dimensions : number, frequency, intensity, complexity, and interference. Methods : The Korean form of YGTSS was applied to 100 children who visited psychiatric outpatient clinic with chief complaints of tic symptom. Together with YGTSS, Clinical Global Impression for Tourette's syndrome(CGI-TS), Obsessive-Compulsive disorder(CGI-OCD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder(CGI-ADHD) were administered to all subjects for examining convergent and discriminant validities. Results : We could confirm high internal consistency, convergent and discriminant validities and interrater reliability of YGTSS by analysing data from 100 children with tic disorder. In factor analysis, items were clustered to 2 factors which were identical to motor and phonic tic subscales. Conclusion : The results of this study indicate the Korean form of YGSS is a reliable and valid rating scale for rating tic symptom severity. It can be used to evaluate tic symptom objectively and to quantify the tic severity in the studies for tic disorder.

      • 正常및 異常分娩中 母體와 臍帶血漿의 β-endorphin 및 ACTH値의 變動에 關한 硏究

        β-endorphin and adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH) are derived from the same precursor protein and they have been implicated as the modulators of pain during the labor process. To investigate their possible role during labor this study was undertaken to determine the levels of β-endorphin and ACTH during labor and delivery in healthy term pregnant women and their neonates after delivery. β-endorphin and ACTH were measured by radioimmunoassay in 22 spontaneous labors, 14 elective cesarean sections and 7 emergency cesarean sections during early and late labor, and after delivery. The results obtained are as follows: 1. In cases of spontaneous vaginal delivery and emergency cesarean section, maternal plasma β-endorphin and ACTH levels were significantly increased during late labor and remained and continuously elevated during the first postpartum hour. 2. In cases of elective cesarean sections, maternal mean plasma levels of β-endorphin and ACTH were significantly lower than levels in spontaneous vaginal deliveries and emergency cesarean sections. 3. There was a significant correlation between meternal plasma β-endorphin and ACTH levels during labor. 4. Umbilical arterial β-endorphin levels in newborn infants after spontaneous vaginal delivery and emergency cesarean section were significantly higher than levels in infants born by elective cesarean section, but only spontaneous vaginal deliveries showed higher umbilical arterial ACTH levels in newborn infants than infants born by elective cesarean section. 5. There was no relationship between meternal and umbilical cord plasma β-endorphin and ACTH. There was not significant correlation between umblical cord plasma β-endorphin and ACTH levels, and fetal weight and placental weight. 6. There was no correlation betwen umbilical arterial pH and Apgar score by mode of delivery, but statistical significance was found to exist in the umbilical arterial pH of emergency cesarean sections and elective cesarean sections. Present studies suggest that β-endorphin and ACTH are significantly increased during late labor due to stress and pain, and hypoxia may be important physiologic stiumuli controlling the release of β-endorphin and ACTH in the human fetus.

      • 고추炭疽病에 對한 新 浸透性 殺菌劑 Systhane M의 效果

        In order to investigate effect of the new fungicide systhane M for controlling red pepper anthracnose, this experiment was carried out in a field and indoor test during the summer months, June to September in 1986. Foliar applications of systhane M with the other 4 chemicals effectively reduced anthracnose fruits infected of red pepper compared with control. No chemical damage of the fungicides used was shown throughout the experiment. Because less than 500ppm of the fungicide was not completely retarded germination of the two causal fungi, it was recommended that effective concentration of the fungicide was more than 500ppm. In addition, further experiment regarding dates and times of the chemical application should be conducted in the future in order to obtain basic materials for establishing a feasible control calender.

      • 길항세균 Pseudomonas cepacia(P713 & P41)의 근권정착력 및 수박덩굴쪼김병 (Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.niveum)에 대한 생물적방제효과

        In order to find out effect of the antagonistic bacterium for Fusarium wilt of watermelon, the two strains of Pseudomonas cepacia were tested. Inhibition zone formed by the antagonist was not only confirmed with a dual culture but also examined conidial germination and mycelial growth of the fungus by using culture filterate. Root colonization of the two antagonistic Pseudomonas cepacia (P7l3 & P4l) were successfully confirmed on the cucurbit rhizospheres through DLF(double layered filterpaper method) and Ahmad and Baker methods, and there was no difference of root colonization between the two isolates of the antagonist. With regard to competition between the antagonists and pathogen, the two bacteria were not challanged by the casual fungus. Furthermore, numerous antagonistic bactera were observed at root tip, terminal root and leteral root through scanning electron microscope. Biocontrol effect of 40% to 100% forFusarium wilt of watermelon were confirmed by percent of diseased plants under the pots and polyethylene film house experiments. : Pseudomonas cepacia, root colonization, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. Niveum, biocontrol.

        分蘖型 옥수수에 있어서 Source와 Sink의 關係

        This study was carried out to understand the relationship between sources and sinks in tillering maize hybrid. A non-tillering hybrid was included as check hybrid, The following treatments were imposed on the two hybrids at tasseling stages 1) no leaves removed, 2) all leaves removed, 3) leaves above 1st ear node removed, 4) leaves below 1st ear node removed and 5) only 1st ear removed. The experiment was arranged in a split plot with hybrids as main plots and treatments as sub plots. Results obtained were summarized as follows: Plant heights in control were significantly higher in both hybrids than other treatments, No significant differences of plant height were observed among treatments of leaf' removal in both hybrids, No significant differences of kernel weights of plant were found between locations of leaf removal, But seed weight of tillering hybrids was about 10 to 15% heavier than that of non-tillering hybrid. Stem weight showed the same tendency as the kernel weights. Leaf removal above the ear node lowered kernel weight significantly up to 60% compared with no leaf removal, The leaf removal below the ear node lowered the kernel weight about 40%. The effects of leaf removal on kernel weight was more serious in the non-tillering hybrid than in the tillering hybrid. Contribution of each part to the total dry matter varied with position of leaf removal, When no leaves were removed. contribution of each part to the total dry matter was great in the order of kernel weight. leaf weight and culm weight, When leaves above the ear node were removed, the contribution of each part to the total dry matter was in the order of culm weight. leaf weight and kernel weight. When leaves below the ear node were removed. the contribution of kernel weight was greater than the contribution of leaf and culm weights.

      • 노화가 인체 중간엽 줄기세포로부터 조골세포로의 증식 및 분화에 미치는 영향

        연구배경: 일반적으로 골다공증과 연관된 위험인자로는 연령, 폐경, 약물, 불충분한 칼슘섭취, 만성질환 및 운동부족 등이 있는데, 특히 노화가 진행할수록 골밀도가 감소하는 것은 잘 알려져 있다. 노화와 관련하여 진행되는 골소실은 조골세포 및 전구조골세포의 기능적 결핍에 의한 골형성의 감소가 주요한 요인으로 여겨지고 있다. 그 동안 연령이 조골모 세포의 양과 조골모 세포로부터 성숙조골세포로의 분화 및 증식에 미치는 영향에 대한 일부 보고들이 있었으나 아직 일치된 견해는 없는 형편이다. 방법: 다양한 연령의 사람으로부터 골수를 채취, 중간엽 줄기세포가 포함된 단핵세포를 분리한 후 조골세포로 분화하기 좋은 조건하에서 배양하였다. 대상군은다시 젊은군과 노령군으로 구분하여 다양한 변수를 비교 분석하였다. 일차배양에서는 CFU-F를 계수하여 골수내 중간엽 줄기세포의 수를 추산하였고, 칼슘측정을 통하여 기질의 무기화 정도를 비교하였다. 계대배양후 이차배양에서는 시기별로 알카리성 포스파타제 활성도를 측정하고 오스테오칼신 mRNA의 발현을 관찰하여 젊은군과 노령군 사이의 증식능 차이를 비교하였다. 또한 이차배양 시기별로 MTT 측정을 하여 양군간에 증식능 차이가 있는지 알아보았다. 결과: 1. 일차배양 15일째에 평균 CFU-F의 수는 젊은군에서 유의하게 많았다(젊은군 148.3±28.9, 노령군 54.3±9.1, p=0.02). CFU-F의 평균면적은 젊은군에서 넓은 경향을 보였으나 통계적으로 유의하지는 않았다. 2. 일차배양 17일 경과 후 양군간에 기질 칼슘 침착정도는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다(젊은군 103.6±50.6, 노령군: 114.0±56.5, p=NS). 3. 이차배양 10일째에 젊은군에서 알카리성 포스파타제 활성도가 고령군에 비해 유의하게 높았다(젊은군: 935.5±115.0 U/mg, 노령군: 578.4±115.7U/mg,p.0.05). 고령군에서는 시간 경과에 따른 변화가 미약했으며 전반적으로 알카리성 포스파타제의 활성도가 젊은군에 비해 낮았다. 4. 이차배양도중 오스테오칼신 mRNA의 발현은 배양시기별로 젊은군에 비해 고령군에서 더 낮은 경향을 관찰할 수 있었다. 5. 이차배양 10일과 15일에 젊은군에서 노령군보다세포증식이 유의하게 증가된 양상을 보였다(10앓 젊은군 0.73±0.05, 노령군 0.58±0.04, p=0.05, 15일; 젊은군 0.80±0.05, 노령군 0.70±0.03, p=0.05).결론: 이상의 연구에서 저자들은 노령군에서 젊은군보다 골수 내 중간엽줄기세포의 수가 적고, 노령군에서 유래한 전구조골세포의 성숙조골세포로의 증식 및 분화가 젊은군 보다 감소해 있는 것을 관찰할 수 있었다. Background: Osteoblasts originate from osteoprogenitor cells in bone marrow stroma, termed mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) or bone marrow stromal cells. Each MSC forms colonies (colony forming units-fibroblasts [CFL-Fs]) when cultured ex vivo. There are some reports about the age-related changes of the number and osteogenic potential of osteoprogenitor cells, but any relationship has not been clearly established in humans. In this study, we counted MSCs using CFU-Fs count and examined the proliferative capacity and differentiation potential of osteoprogenitor cells. Finally, we analyzed how these parameters varied with donor age. Methods: Bone marrow was obtained from the iliac crest of young (n=6, 27.2±8.6 years old) and old (n= 10, 57.4k6.7 years old) healthy donors. Mononuclear cells, including MSCs, were isolated and cultured in osteogenic medium. In primary culture, we compared the colony-forming efficiency of MSCs between the two groups and determined the matrix calcification. When primary culture showed near confluence, the cells were subcultured. Alkaline phosphatase activity, osteocalcin expression by RT-PCR and proliferative potential by MTT assay were examined by the time course of secondary culture. Results: At the 15th day of primary culture, the mean number of CFU-Fs was significantly higher in the younger donors (young: 148.3±28.9, old: 54.3±9.1, p=0.02) and the mean size of CFL-Fs was also larger in the younger donors than the older donors. However, matrix calcification was not different between the two groups (young: 103.6±50.6, old: 114.0±56.5, p=NS). In secondary culture, alkaline phosphatase activities were significantly lower in the older donors. The younger donors showed peak alkaline phosphatase activity at day 10, while the older donors didn't showed a remarkable peak (young: 935.5±115.OU/mg, old: 578.4±115.7U/mg, p<0.05). Total cell number as a proliferative index increased progressively during the secondary culture and a significantly greater cell number was noted in the younger donors. Osteocalcin expression was generally upregulated in the younger donors, but this was not statistically significant. Conclusion: Our study shows that the number of osteoprogenitor cells is decreased during aging and that the proliferative capacity and differentiation potential of osteoprogenitor cells seem to be reduced during aging (J Kor SOC Endocrinol 18:296-305, 2003).
