        산업사회의 인간소외와 교육

        This study is designed to discuss the alienation of man which is regarded as one of the serious problems of an industrial society, and to propose the basic educational orientation for overcoming this alienation and recovering humanity. Analized in theoretical terms are the structure of human alienation described in the thoughts of Hegel and Marx as well as the actual conditions of the alienation in reality. Based on this analysis, the present study critically examines the educational theory of nurturing 'Fully Developed Man' suggested by Marx as a way of overcoming the alienation directed toward the enhancement of humanity in a modern industrialized society.

        전투기 조종사에서 중력가속도 노출 후 발생한 중심장액맥락망막병증 1예

        Purpose: To report a case of central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) after high G-force exposure in a fighter pilot with rapid remission. Case summary: A 28-year-old male patient was transferred from a local clinic with metamorphopsia in the left eye. His visual acuity was 20/20 in both eyes. Fundus examination of his left eye showed serous retinal detachment. Fluorescein angiography revealed leakage, which led to a diagnosis of CSC. As a fighter pilot, he had been exposed repeatedly to high g-forces before symptoms occurred. His flying was then stopped, and a follow-up examination was scheduled. After two weeks, a fundus examination showed resolution of the subretinal fluid. Conclusions: CSC can develop after high g-force exposure, with a rapid clinical course. When making a CSC diagnosis, the physician should confirm potential causative environments by performing a thorough review of the patient’s occupational history and promptly terminate the likely causes. 목적: 전투기 조종사에서 높은 중력가속도(G-Force)에 노출 후 중심장액맥락망막병증이 발생하고 빠른 관해를 보인 증례를 경험하였기에 이를 보고하고자 한다. 증례요약: 28세 남자 환자로 내원 10일 전부터 시작된 좌안 변시증으로 본원에 전원되었다. 내원 당시 시행한 시력검사상 교정시력우안 20/20, 좌안 20/20으로 측정되었으며, 안저검사에서 좌안의 망막하액이 관찰되고 형광안저조영검사에서 형광 누출을 보여 좌안중심장액맥락망막병증으로 진단하였다. 병력상 기왕력은 확인되지 않았고, 전투기 조종사로 높은 중력가속도에 반복적으로 노출되었다. 비행을 중단하고 경과 관찰하였으며, 2주 후 망막하액은 소실되었다. 결론: 높은 중력가속도 노출에 의해 중심장액맥락망막병증을 일으킬 수 있으며, 빠른 임상경과를 보일 수 있다. 이번 증례를 통하여 중심장액맥락망막병증 환자를 접할 때는 철저한 병력청취를 통하여 직업 환경까지도 파악해야 하고 원인이 되는 상황을 중단시켜야함을 확인할 수 있었다.

        KANT의 認識論에 관한 考察

        The fundamental problem for Kant is the problem of knowledge; what is genuine knowledge? and how is it possible to attain it? In order to answer these questions, Kant had to examine human reason, or subject it to criticism. Kant claims that scientific knowledge consists of synthetic a priori judgements and such certainty is possessed only by synthetic a priori judgements. For him, then, the problem is; How are synthetic a priori judgements possible in mathematics, in natural science? To answer this question, we must examine the organ of knowledge. According to kant, we might as well distinguish between sensibility and understanding. Knowledge would be impossible without considering perception or sensibility on the one hand, and thinking  or understanding on the other. "Percepts and concepts constitute the elements of all our knowledge. For percepts without concepts are blind, concepts without percepts are empty." Kant maintains that the two conditions, space and time, are necessary for intuiting all objects of experience. Space and time are not realities or things existing for themselves. nor are they qualities or relations belonging to things as such. They are a priori forms of sense perception or sensibility; hence they have validity only when applied to perceived things, to appearances or phenomena, not when applied to things-in-themselves(ding an sich). We cannot apply them beyond the world of our experience-which is the limits of human knowledge.

        알레르기결막염 환자에서 눈물 호산구양이온단백질 측정

        Purpose: To evaluate tear eosinophil cationic protein (ECP) as a severity marker for atopic keratoconjunctivitis (AKC) and seasonal/ perennial allergic conjunctivitis (SAC/PAC). Methods: Tear ECP levels were measured by chemiluminescent immunometric assay in 7 eyes of 7 patients with AKC, 13 eyes of 13 patients with SAC/PAC, and 10 eyes of 10 healthy control subjects. All AKC and SAC/PAC patients underwent conjunctival injection and papillary formation grading. Tear ECP levels were investigated with reference to the clinical parameters of allergic conjunctivitis (papillary formation and conjunctival injection scoring). Results: Tear ECP levels in patients with AKC were significantly higher than those in patients with SAC/PAC and in control subjects (p = 0.012 and p = 0.003, respectively). The number of patients with papillary formation scores of 2-3 was significantly higher in the AKC group than in the SAC/PAC group (p = 0.016). The number of patients with conjunctival injection scores of 2-3 did not significantly differ between the AKC and SAC/PAC groups (p = 0.128). All AKC patients obtained papillary formation scores of 2-3, and tear ECP levels in patients with conjunctival injection scores of 2-3 were significantly higher than in patients with scores of 0-1 in the AKC group (p < 0.001). In the SAC/PAC group, tear ECP levels in patients with papillary formation scores of 2-3 were significantly higher than in patients with scores of 0-1 (p = 0.046). Conclusions: This study suggests that tear ECP was a useful marker to diagnose and assess the severity of disease in patients with AKC as well as SAC/PAC.         Ti-3Al-2.5V 합금의 피로균열전파특성에 미치는 미세조직 및 온도의 영향

        Ti alloys, with the advantageous tensile strength/density ratio and the chemical stability, have been used widely in the aerospace and chemical engineering industries and their usages are still expanding in various industrial areas. In the automotive industry, because of their superior merits of weight reduction and fuel saving. Ti alloys are expected to be used as various part materials including connecting rods, engine valves, springs and retainers, which are all subjected to the fatigue loads. In this study, using Ti-3Al-2.5V, the effects of temperature and microstructure change on fatigue crack propagation has been investigated. Five different microstructures were tested at the temperatures of room temperature, 200℃, 300℃ and 400℃ under the same frequency 20Hz. Some of the conclusions obtained are as follows; (1) Microstructurally, the morphology of less α-phase and finer lamellar structure of α and β-Ti showed better registance to the fatigue crack propagation. (2) Fatigue crack growth rate increased with test temperature.

        Kaolin을 이용한 Mullite 합성에 미치는 광화제 첨가 효과

        본 연구에서는 fine ceramics의 합성법을 traditional ceramics 합성에 적용하여 합성한 내화재료용 mullite에 광화제를 첨가함으로서 광화제가 mullite 생성에 미치는 영향을 관찰하고자 한다. 출발물질로 하동 kaolin과 boehmite를 사용하였으며, 여기에 광화제로 MnO와 TiO2를 액상으로 첨가하였다. 그 결과 3.5 wt% MnO를 첨가한 경우, 1,25$0^{\circ}C$에서 미반응 silica와 alumina가 존재하지 않는 단일상의 mullite를 합성할 수 있었으며, TiO2 첨가시 2~3.5wt% MnO의 경우 mullite 생성 온도를 약 10$0^{\circ}C$ 낮출 수 있었다. 이때의 mullite 생성율은 1$650^{\circ}C$에서 84%이며, 부피 비중과 흡수율 및 상온에서 꺾임강도는 각각 2.72, 0.27%, 180MPa을 나타내어 광화제를 첨가하지 않은 경우보다 특성도 향상함을 알 수 있었다. In this study, the formation of mullite phase with mineralizer have been investiagated Hadong Kaolin and boehmite were used as starting materials and also of TiCl4 and MnCl4 aquous solution were used as a mineralizer. In the addition of 3.5% MnO as a mineralizer, mullite single phase could be obtained at 125$0^{\circ}C$ without any other second phases. However in the addition of TiO2 as a mineralizer, mullite single phase is obtained at above 135$0^{\circ}C$. Therefore the formation of mullite is lowered in the case of MnO as a mineralizer than of TiO2. Because it is easy to obtain mullite single phase in the case of MnO addition, all the characteristics improved. The values of bulk density, water absorption and bending strength at room temperature were 2.72g/㎤, 0.27% and 180 MPa, respectively.

        Pneumococcal Meningitis Successfully Treated with Adjuvant Management of Intrathecal Vancomycin, Oral Rifampicin and Shunt Surgery

        Background: Bacterial meningitis is a life threatening medical emergency. We report one case of our patient with fulminant meningitis caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, who was successfully treated by intravenous (IV) and intrathecal antibiotics with shunt operation. Case Report: A 35-year-old male was transferred to emergency center for loss of consciousness after 1 day of fever. Bacterial meningitis was diagnosed based on cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) finding. IV antibiotics with steroid therapy were initiated with subsequent intrathecal injection of vancomycin, oral administration of rifampicin and shunt operation. CSF culture confirmed pneumococcal meningitis, which was also isolated from the site of chronic otitis media at the left ear. After 4 weeks of antibiotics and surgical management of chronic otitis media, the patient fully recovered and was discharged without any neurological sequelae. Conclusions: Aggressive management with antibiotics and surgical intracranial pressure control may be a treatment options for fulminant bacterial meningitis.
