Today advanced traffic management systems are required because of a high increase in traffic demand. Accordingly, the objective of this study is to take advantage of image processing systems and present image processing methods available for collection of the data on traffic characteristics, and then to investigate the possibility of traffic flow analysis by means of comparison and analysis of measured traffic flow. Data were collected at two places of Daegu city and Kyongbu expressway by using VTR. Rear view (down stream) and frontal view (up stream) methods were employed to compare and analyze traffic characteristics including traffic volume, speed, time-headway, time-occupancy, and vehicle-length, by analysis of measured traffic flow and image processing respectively. Judging from the results obtained by this study, image processing techniques are sufficient for the analysis of traffic volume, but a frame grabber equipped with high speed processor is necessary as well, with low level system judged to be sufficient for traffic volume analysis.

The structure-activity relationships of (E)-chalcone-4-carboxylic acids, flavone-4'-carboxylic acids, two types of aromatic amides, terephthalic monoanilides, and (arylcarboxamido)benzoic acids, which were made by Shudo group, are discussed by conformation analysis(AM1) of retinoic acid and those compounds. Conformer of each compound is superimposed on the conformationally restricted compound, 4-(6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-6,6,9,9-tetramethyl-4H-4-oxonaphto[ 2,3-b]pyran-2-yl) benzoic acid(Fv80), possessing the strongest differentiation-inducing activity on human promyelocytic leukemia cells HL-60. The results indicated that the lengths between the carboxylic carbon and the two 6, 9 carbons binding to dimethyl, 1.20 nm and 1.09 nm, as well as the planarity of molecule are very important factors for the activity, especially 1.20 nm. In the case of the recently synthesized azulenic retinoic acids by Sato, et al. in 1993, the distance probably is also important, resulted from superimposing them on a Ch55 conformer and Fv80. The distance 1.0 nm is also important in Ch55. Several conformers of all-trans retinoic acid (RA) are well superimposed on the almost non-flexible Fv80, RA, 9-cis RA, and, specifically s-10,12 cis RA. And a simple hexangular model of RA is suggested to draw RA conformers easily without computer drawing model or molecular model.

본 硏究에서는 人工衡星 測位法인 GPS 技法을 이용하여 測位點이 連續적으로 변화하는 경우에 대해 實測해 보았다. 實測方法은 自動車를 이용하여 그 走行軌跡을 測定하였으며, 大邱市의 衛路上에서 870個 測定點에 대하여 分析해 보았다. 測定裝備는 移動體 測位의 目的에 적합하다고 판단되는 NavTrac모델을 利用하여 分析하였으며, 그 結果는 다음과 같은 結論을 얻을 수 있었다. 1. GPS測位裝備 중 移動體資料用으로 精度 25mRMS 範圍로서 基本圖面 1/25,000 圖上에서 位置表現이 充分하였다. 2. 都心部에서의 測位誤差는 PDOP 3∼15(15∼75m)의 範圍로서 實測結果 測位誤差가 50m 以上인 地點은 總 測位地點 870個 地點 중에서 3個 地點으로 分析되었다. 3. 測位結果의 解析을 위한 座標系의 變換에 있어서 WGS-84를 東京座標系로 變換하여 分析하는 것이 가능함을 알 수 있었다. 이상의 分析 結果로 볼 때 그 利用目的에 따라서 적정한 GPS測位 裝備를 이용하는 경우 매우 效果的인 3次元 座標를 구할 수 있을 것으로 判斷된다. This paper presents the results of research to develop an automatic measurement of a navigation by Global Positioning System(GPS) technique with the help of NavTrac model(manufactured by Trimble Ltd.). An experimental cruising assesses the accuracy of the GPS for the dimensional navigation. The GPS position was analyzed in terms of the plane coordinates(X, Y), which are gained by the transformation of WGS-80 to Tokyo coordinate. From the results of the test cruising, the differences between actual and cruised coordinates are did not exceed ±25m. This error bound is assumed to be an heuristic discriminative region at 1/25,000 base map. The use of this GPS positioning technique would be well suited for avariety of applications where cost effectiveness becomes an important factor.

So as to develop an automatic driving model for ITS, 4 driving courses have been set up to examine the reasonable driving pattern of experienced drivers who are using GPS driving data. The Sugeno-type fuzzy model was constructed by inputting the actually measured driving data, and its suitability was examined.

Non-planar conformer of the ionized aspirin is more stable than the planar conformer of that. Aspirin has a center of Pearson's base and a main center of Pearson's acid. The former is two oxygen atoms of the carboxylate group and the latter, the carbon atom of acetyl group. This may explain that aspirin is metabolized to 2, 5-, 2, 3-dihydroxy benzoic acid, and 2, 3, 5-trihydroxy benzoic acid.

Molecular mechanics and conformation search methods were carried out to investigate the relationship between conformations and thromboxane synthetase inhibitory activities of w-pyridylalkenoic acids. The initial geometries of w-pyridylalkenoic acids and heme part of cytochrome P-450 were obtained from MM+ geometry optimization. The bond lengths and angles were not varied by step during the conformation searching. Stable conformers of some w-pyridylalkenoic acids were obtained by conformational search method. The distances were 8.5~10.8Å between N atom at 3-position of pyridine ring and C atom at carboxylic group of stable w-pyridylalkenoic acids. The conformations of w-pyridylalkenoic acids and heme part complex were determined by same method. In these structures, benzene ring and ethylene group in w-pyridylalkenoic acids are making the structure more rigid and increase inhibitory activity. The electron donating groups in C atom which is connected to pyridine ring also increase activity.
Neural Network에 依한 交叉路의 信號시스템 最適化에 關한 硏究

In this study, using neural network which imitates biological neuron into optimization of optimization of signal system of intersection, comparing and analyzing cycle produced by the learning of neural network and optimum signal cycle produced by Webster model which is analytical method examine the applicability of neural network. The data for the learning of neural network was made up of the input pattern consists of straight through left turn traffic volume of intersection and optimal signal cycle which obtained by Webster method for the traffic volume of input pattern as target pattern. And we used Turbo-C version 2.0 as programming language. As we see the result of this study, the correlation coefficient of neural network versus Webster method is 0.998 and 0.997, which has high degree of explanation, neural network model fairly can be utilized in the optimization of cycle length of intersection signal system.

This study deals with the techniques of Geographic Information Systems(GIS) and Global Positioning Systems(GPS) which belong to relatively new survey techniques related both the possibilities of their use and the limits of their application. Especially, it tried to build the maintenance management of river and applied LANDSAT data to use landuse data for hydrology analysis. It is important that our nation's geoid model is established immediately by means of the result of it. And if it will be carried, we can survey river with GPS. Also, the integral data of GIS and LANDSAT can be really useful for suveying, the maintenance management of river.
