대학 ‘지하캠퍼스’ 내 커뮤니티 공간이 지닌 ‘제3의 공간’ 특성 분석 연구 - 이용자 행태 분석을 중심으로 -

The university campus needs a variety of spaces where many members, including thousands of students and faculty members, can freely interact and relax during their studies and research. Several universities are creating an ‘underground campus’ as a sustainable renovation alternative. The community space within the underground campus can have common characteristics with ‘the third place’ in that it is regarded as a space that anyone can access and communicate comfortably. The purpose of this study is to analyze the behavior of people who use the community space within the underground campus as ‘the third place’ characteristics. An observation survey was conducted on the user behavior according to the spatial characteristics by visiting 3 community spaces within underground campuses (Hana Square at Korea University, ECC at Ewha Womans University, and Baekyang Nuri at Yonsei University). Results show that factors such as using sunken and windows, arranging furniture suitable for interaction, operating programs open to all, creating a free mood with open space, and providing comfortable spaces like home created the community space that served as ‘the third place’. This research can be a useful guideline for the design of the university underground campus to revitalize each member and community.
관광객의 관광 동기와 만족도, 충성도 간의 관계에 대한 연구

본 연구는 관광객의 관광 동기와 관광객의 만족도, 관광객의 충성도(행동 의도: 재방문 의도, 추천 의도)에 대한 선행연구의 고찰을 통해 이와 관련된 여러 이론을 소개하고, 관광객의 관광 동기와 만족도, 충성도 사이의 관계를 연구하였다. 기존에 연구되었던 여러 논문들을 자세히 살펴본 결과, 관광객의 만족도는 관광객의 관광 동기에 의해 측정되는 기준이 되고, 관광객의 충성도(행동 의도: 재방문 의도, 추천 의도)에 미치는 영향이 매우 크다는 사실을 밝히고 관광객의 만족에 기반한 합리적인 관광마케팅 전략과 시사점을 제시하였다. The purpose of this study was to carefully consider previous researches of tourist motivation, tourist satisfaction and tourist loyalty, and to provide an integrated approach to understand the relationship among tourist motivation, tourist satisfaction and tourist loyalty. Through the study of the previous researches, the result revealed that tourist motivation was an important factor to select tourism destination and influence on tourist satisfaction, and tourist satisfaction had a significant impact on tourist loyalty. These findings can provide tourism marketers and tourism managers with theoretical and managerial implications to explain the relationship the relationship among tourist motivation, tourist satisfaction and tourist loyalty, and help them build successful tourism marketing strategies to ensure long-term the relationship between tourists and tourism destination.
실험설계의 재현성 확보를 위한 EEG를 이용한 환경에 대한 반응 실험연구 분석 - 국내 선행연구 중심으로 -

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought more interest in human health and wellbeing toward built environment, especially home where people spent the majority of their time. Electroencephalography (EEG), a tool to measure brain wave activities and frequency, has been recently used in environmental behavior research to understand human response to diverse characteristics of built environment, such as architecture and interior design. This study was designed to investigate prior EEG studies on human response to diverse qualities of physical environment to obtain a reproducibility of research methodology. A total of 24 journal articles were systematically reviewed to locate the following aspects: experiment stimuli, research purpose, experiment setting, use of other data collection methods besides EEG, number of participants, part of brain where EEG was measured, and brain wave frequencies and indicators reported. Results show that the majority of studies have focused on color and lighting. Diverse experiment settings included rendered images on computer screens, images of real environments, and VR head-mounted display. Reporting the rationale of measuring certain parts of the brain and specific brain wave frequencies and providing theoretical basis on it are necessary to achieve both reproducibility in future research and development of EEG studies in built environment.
일회용 주사기를 이용한 기관내튜브의 새로운 기낭 팽창법의 유용성

Background: Risk for injuries resulting from overinflated or underinflated endotracheal tube cuff warrants adequate cuff inflation technique. Thus, this study was designed to measure the actual intracuff pressures obtained by new estimation techniques. Methods: 95 adult surgical patients requiring tracheal intubation were randomized to two groups with respect to the endotracheal tube model: Portex(R) (n=55) and Euromedical(R) (n=40). After induction of anesthesia, the cuff was inflated using new estimation techniques with two different syringes: PR10 or PR20 (passive release technique using a 10-ml or 20-ml syringe, respectively). Subsequently, an aneroid manometer was used to measure the actual intracuff pressures. These inflation techniques were repeated two times. A direct cuff measurement range of 25 to 40 cmH2O was used as a reference for optimal intracuff pressure. Size 7.0 mm internal diameter (ID) tubes were used for women and size 7.5 mm ID for men. Results: 88 eligible patients were studied: Portex group (n=50) and Euromedical group (n=38). With respect to the rate of optimal cuff inflation, PR10 was significantly higher than PR20 in both groups (56% vs. 10% in Portex group; 63.2% vs. 0% in Euromedical group, respectively) (P<0.05). Conclusions: When direct intracuff measurement is not available, a new method, named "passive release technique" using a 10-ml syringe, is a useful alternative cuff inflation method. 디지털정보환경에서 커뮤니케이션 대상으로서의 디자인에 대한 고찰

21세기는 정보디자인의 중요성이 그 어느 때보다도 요구되는 시대이다. 지금까지의 정보가 디자인의 목적이 아닌 전달 프로세스로만 인식되어 왔다면 지금 세계는 디지털 정보에 대한 정보의 가치성 효율성 그리고 기능성에 대한 디자인 역할에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 국내에서도 정보환경 속에서의 디자인 역할에 대한 연구의 필요성을 인식하고 많은 연구들이 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 타 분야에서의 디지털 정보환경에 대한 연구가 심층적 구조분석에서부터 시작되는 반면 디자인 분야에서의 연구 경향은 대부분 정보디자인의 컨텐츠적인 제작 측면에서 바라보는 경향이 강하다. 본 연구는 컨텐츠적인 측면에서의 접근이 아닌 의미론적 측면에서 접근해 보려한다. 이에 따라서 본 논문에서는 먼저 디지털 정보환경에서의 정보의 개념과 디자인 방향에 대하여 검토하고자 한다. 물론 디자인은 커뮤니케이션적 대상이다. 하지만 오늘날 디지털 정보환경에서는 디자이너와 디자인 대상 그리고 이를 수용하는 수용자 차원에서의 외적 커뮤니케이션이 더 이상 커다란 의미를 획득하지 못하고 있다. 변화된 디자인 환경에서의 물적 정신적 구성 요소간의 관계인 내적 커뮤니케이션에 대한 중요성이 부각되고 있기 때문이다. 오늘날의 디자인을 두가지의 커뮤니케이션 조화를 이룰 때 비로소 완전한 정보의 대상으로서 평가될 수 있는 것이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 디지털 정보환경이 실제적으로 디자인 환경에 어떠한 영향을 끼치는지 알아보고 개념정리를 통해 디자인의 새로운 방향성을 알아보고자 하는 것이다. The 21st century is the period of Informational Design. So far the information was regarded as a process of the communication than the own purpose of Design itself but now people starts to research the value & efficiency of the digital information and the design's role on the function. In Korea many people started to recognize the need of research for the role of Design in the Informational environment. The research about the digital informational environment has been processed based on the contents & making process in the Design area while it is processed by further fundamental principle in other area. This paper was studied based on a semantic approach not on the content. Firstly we will consider the definition of information & the direction of Design. The Design is a communicational object. However the external communication between the designers the object of design and the customers was not regarded as an important factor in the today's informational environment as the importance of the internal communication & the relation between material & mental formation is being raised. The contemporary Design needs the combination of external & internal communication to be more efficient informational object. Therefore we will study how the digital informational environment affects the design environment and will research the new direction of Design by defining the concept of the Design
