Mad(wo)man in “A Prison of Memories”

본 논문은 크리스토퍼 놀란의 2010년 영화 『인셉션』의 주인공 코브가 자신의 내면에 대한 깨달음을 얻게 되고 이를 통해 자신의 죽은 아내 맬에 대한 병적인 집착에서 벗어나는 과정을 살펴본다. 본 논문은 맬에 대한 코브의 병적인 집착에 대한 이해의 지평을 넓히기 위하여 샬롯 브론테가 『제인 에어』에서 버사 메이슨을 통해 그려낸 다락방에 갇힌 미친 여자의 모습과 코브가 만들어 낸 “기억의 감옥”에 갇힌 맬의 모습을 비교한다. 두 작품이 그려내는 갇혀 있는 미친 여자의 모습을 비교함으로써 본 논문은 코브가 “기억의 감옥”에 가둔 것이 그의 죽은 아내 맬이 아니라 사실은 자기 자신임을 밝혀낸다. 코브가 맬의 투사를 통해 실제로는 다른 누구가 아닌 자기 자신을 가두게 된 이유는 자신이 더 이상 맬을 사랑하지도 않으며 맬과 함께 있고 싶지도 않다는 사실을 인정하지 못하기 때문이다. 따라서 “기억의 감옥”에서의 탈출은 그가 이 사실을 온전히 인지하고 받아들일 때에야 가능하다.『제인 에어』에서 제인이 자신을 억압하는 가부장적 권력으로부터 탈출을 하게 되는 것은 자기 자신의 광기를 통해서가 아니라 버사의 광기를 통해서이다. 이는 제인 에어가 빅토리아 시대를 사는 여인으로서 가질 수 있는 주체성의 명확한 한계를 보여준다고 할 수 있다. 반면 『인셉션』에서 코브는 제인보다는 좀 더 적극적으로 주체성을 실행할 수 있기에 그는 제인처럼 타인의 광기를 통해서 탈출하지 않고 궁극적으로는 스스로의 힘으로 광기에서 탈출을 이루어낸다. 코브에게 있어 기억의 감옥, 즉 광기로부터의 탈출은 자신이 실제라고 믿는 세계에서 삶을 영위하고자 하는, 비록 다소 이기적일 수 있으나 지극히 인간적인 자신의 욕망을 인정하고 받아들일 때 가능해지고 이 과정을 통해서만 코브는 자신의 죽은 아내에 대한 집착에서 자신을 온전히 해방시킬 수 있다. 비록 영화는 코브가 집에 돌아가 만나는 그의 자녀들이 실재하는 존재인지 또 다른 꿈 속 환상인지의 문제에 대해 열린 결말을 제시하지만, 그가 이전보다 자신의 내면을 더 잘 이해하게 되었고 그로 인해 더 이상 죽은 사람의 망령에 시달리지 않고 자신이 실제라고 믿는 세계에서 실재한다고 믿는 자들을 사랑할 수 있게 되었음은 분명하다. This paper examines the process by which Cobb, the protagonist in Christopher Nolan’s 2010 film, Inception, attains self-awareness and thereby overcomes his morbid obsession with his dead wife, Mal. Analyzing Cobb’s pathological relationship with Mal in light of Charlotte Brontë’s depiction of a madwoman in the attic in Jane Eyre, this essay contends that Cobb has imprisoned not only Mal but also himself in a “prison of memories” because of his inability to accept the truth that he neither loves her nor desires her presence with him any longer. In Jane Eyre, Jane achieves escape from an oppressive patriarchal power not through her own madness but through Bertha’s madness, demonstrating her lack of agency as a Victorian woman. In contrast, in Inception, Cobb manages to liberate himself from a prison of memories of his own construction by being honest about his possibly selfish yet fundamentally human desire to turn away from his dead wife. Although the movie deliberately leaves it ambiguous whether or not the children he returns to at the end are his “real” children, it is clear that with enhanced self-awareness, Cobb is now better prepared to love his children in the realm of existence which is free from the presence of the projection of a dead person.

IDtech3 엔진 기반의 FPS 게임 및 2차 발사 기능 구현

본 논문에서는 IDtech3 엔진을 이용하여 FPS 게임을 구현하였다. IDtech3 엔진의 구동원리와 구조를 분석하여 발사체마다 가지고 있는 하나의 공격방식을 개선하여 2차 발사 기능을 추가하였다. 구현된 FPS 게임은 다이렉트X를 사용하지 않기 때문에 리눅스, 스마트폰과 같은 플랫폼으로의 전환이 쉬울 뿐만 아니라, 2차 발사 기능을 추가함으로서 국내외 FPS 게임에 신선한 자극이 되리라 사료된다.

부산시 도로교통소음의 3차원 소음지도제작에 관한 연구

부산은 국내 제2의 도시로서 유동인구 및 물동량의 과다로 교통량이 폭증하여 교통 소음이 증가하는 추세에 있다. 소음지도는 이론적으로 증명된 예측식이나 실험상의 결과로 얻은 경험식 및 지리정보시스템(GIS, Geographic Information System)을 사용하여 소음의 수치와 분포를 계산하여 계절적인 변화나 시간적인 변화에 관한 데이터를 분석하여 제시하여 주는 지도이다. 소음지도는 대상지역 내의 모든 소음원에 대한 영향을 고려하기 때문에 영향 평가 시 정확한 예측이 가능하며 총괄적이고 체계적인 대안의 수립이 가능하고 지리정보시스템(GIS)과의 연계를 통하여 소음노출인구의 파악, 소음저감 대책이나 계발계획의 효율성까지도 판단할 수 있다. 국내에서는 이에 대한 연구가 몇몇 이루어지기는 하였으나 아직 표준이나 기준 확립 이전의 단계에 머물고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 부산시를 중심으로 현 상황에서 소음지도를 제작하여 보고 제작과정에서 발생할 수 있는 문제점이나 부족한 부분을 검토하며 소음지도의 활용에 대하여 연구하였다. The traffic noise of Busan, the second largest city in Korea, is polluting the area. Noise map is a map that shows data on an existing or predicted noise condition in terms of a noise indicator, breaches of a limit value, the number of dwellings exposed to certain values of a noise indicator in a certain area, or on cost-benefit ratios or other economic data on mitigation methods or scenarios with Geographic Information System. With noise map, the effect of traffic noise and the efficiency of city development plan are exactly estimated. So making systematic counteroffer is possible with it. This study is aimed to the construction of basis for noise map construction method for domestic use and the area focus is Busan.

부산시 환경소음 자동측정망 설치위치의 적정성에 관한 연구

부산시 환경소음수준의 연속적 측정이 가능한 소음자동측정망의 합리적 설치·운영은 부산시의 정온한 환경구축 정책 수립을 위한 중요한 관건이 될 수 있다. 도시 내의 환경소음 수준은 지역 환경수준에 영향을 미치는 제반 요인들의 복합적 작용에 의하여 결정된다. 따라서 정확한 환경소음수준의 측정이 선결되어야만 올바른 환경소음 개선대책의 수립과 추진이 가능하다. 현재 국내에서는 환경소음 실태파악 및 소음저감정책 기초 자료의 확보를 위해 최근에 소음자동측정망을 구축 중에 있다. 또한 소음측정망이 설치·운영되는 지역의 경우 측정망 자료의 공개를 통하여 해당 지역의 환경소음 수준을 표시하고 있으나, 측정결과가 시민들이 느끼는 체감 소음을 제대로 반영하지 못하는 것으로 인식되고 있다. 가장 주된 논거는 측정 자료의 신뢰성 부족과 측정망의 불합리한 설치장소로 요약할 수 있다. 본 연구는 현재 부산시 지역에 설치되어 있는 8개 소음자동측정망의 설치·운영실태 분석에 주안점을 두고 있다. To install and operate the Automatic Noise Monitoring Networks reasonably, which able to monitoring environmental noise continually, is an important issue for making decision to urban environment. Noise level is determined by regional environmental factors, that affected by complex urban environment. Therefore, accurate measurement of environmental noise level has top priority to establish and promote appropriate environmental policies. Currently, Automatic Noise Monitoring System is installed for grasping the environmental noise level and preparing basic data for constructing noise-reduction policies. However, this measurement data is recognized not to be able to reflect a sensory noise. The main reason is the lack of reliable measurement data and unreasonable installation site. The main point of this research ought to be the analysis of installed site of noise monitoring system in Busan.

철골 구조설계 공정 표준화를 위한 CIS/2 AAM 모델 연구

The aim of this research is analysing CIS/2 AAM model fot investigating the Steel Framework Process Data Modeling Standards. This paper introduces CIS/2 AAM model and LPM/5 which is produced by CIMSteel project. and produces it's STEP Part 21 File Translator for exchanging building data, The overall objective of this paper is to analysis LPM/5 Logical Product Model and to evaluate File Read/write Translater. The results of this paper are as follow; 1) The study on CIS/2 is helpful to developing dominant Steel Framework Process Model 2) It may be basis of developing analysis application, which is based on STEP modelling technique.

아웃리거 구조 시스템의 최적 설계 인자분석에 관한 연구

건물의 고층화에 따라 구조 시스템의 개발이 요구되었으며, 경제성을 위해 최적설계가 발달하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 고층건물의 구조 시스템의 한 종류인 아웃리거 시스템을 중심으로 유전자 알고리즘을 사용하여 설계 최적인자에 대한 분석을 수행하였다. Nowaday, the high-rised building system is more and more important for economic efficiency, therefore, the optimized design for them is required in those fields. In this research, Design factors, which are used for high-rised building system, are analysed and reviewed for optimized design.

완전학습 모델을 기반으로 한 시뮬레이션 훈련이 전문심장소생술 습득에 미치는 효과

Purpose: This study was aimed to develop a simulation training program of an advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) based on the mastery learning model (Simulation-MLM), and evaluate the effects of the program on critical care nurses. Methods: As an experimental pre-post test with a non-equivalent control group, the study employed convenience sampling of 38 critical care nurses. The experimental group received the Simulation- MLM including a theoretical lecture, formative evaluation, and simulation training, whereas only a theoretical lecture for the control group. The knowledge, self-efficacy, and performance degrees of respondents were measured to verify the effects of the Simulation-MLM. The statistical processing of the collected data utilized the SPSS WIN 17.0 program. Results: After receiving Simulation-MLM, the participants in the experimental group reported higher marks in the knowledge, self-efficacy and performance of ACLS compared with those in the control group. However, both experimental and control groups demonstrated no significant differences in knowledge, self-efficacy and performance. Conclusion: Despite of the limitation of a small sample size, this study was considered meaningful in a sense that it showed a venue for improving ACLS training efficiency. Future research with more distinct treatment differentiation and better adequate outcome variables was warranted in order to prove the effects of a theory-based simulation education.
