        농촌 경관주택의 방향 설정을 위한 거주자 요구 조사

        The purpose of this study was to find out the residents' needs fur rural houses and to suggest the policy directions for developing Korean rural viewscape houses. The subjects were 386 houses and residents. They were selected according to accessibility, area characteristics, administrative district, and village types. The data were collected by using the interview and observation method based on the questionnaire. By analyzing the residents' needs for rural houses, the following conclusions were derived: 1) In order to preserve the rural characteristic, the government should lead to establish the yard space and the exterior design factors such as wall material and color, and the shape, material, and color of roof. 2) At the same time, the government should provide the residents with the subsidy for house improvement, so that they can build the desirabe size of house and the aged remodel their houses. 3) The contemporary design model of rural Han-ok should be developed and built. 4) The new rural house model improving roof design should be developed, because present houses with slab roofs and skirt roofs spoil the harmony with the rural natural environment. 5) The direction of rural houses for viewscape was defined as to satisfy residents' needs for convenient housing lift and to harmony visual and physical factors - building form, material and color - involving Korean rural housing culture.

        대전지역 아파트 단위주호 계획에 대한 거주자의 주거의식에 관한 조사연구

        The purpose of this study was to find out the residents' consciousness of the unit plan on condominium apartment and to contribute to develop a condominium apartment unit plan in Daejeon City. This research was performed by a questionnaire survey method, 464 data was collected from apartment residents lived in about $85\;m^2$ unit with 3 rooms and the apartments was limited to the complexes within 1-4 years of the length of building at Yuseong-gu and Seo-gu. By analyzing those data, findings are as follows: 1) Residents thought living room, kitchen and bathroom were importment space in a unit plan. They needed a storage function in an entrance and a intermediate room, and Anbang(mater bedroom) so did. 2) L-DK plan type was very popular and the type of front DK with L on the floor plan was preferred. This was unique results. 3) Sub-kitchen was needed for a refrigerator of Kimchi, the location of it was related to a main kitchen and a utility. the third room was needed for library, home office and storage space. 3) Bath-tub in An-bang and showe-booth in public bathroom was preferred. This was same to the popular trend of Korean condominium apartment. 4) The enlargment remodeling of balcony was showed livingroom balcony or personal bedrooms at the time of occupancy. They needed the balcony near a kitchen or an utility to equip a storage facility. Additionally, residents were preferred to their taste rather than a choice of interior concept package services.

        노인 친화적 감성용 욕조 대안에 대한 노인 소비자의 요구 및 평가

        This study finds out the aged consumers' needs on the developing elderly friendly and sensitive bathtub. This bathtub focuses on enhancement of multi-senses and enhancement of health, safety & convenience during bath. The enhancing multi-senses would have four functions; therapy with color and aroma, the massage with micro water bubbles, the visual and auditory with TV & cinema, and the auditory with music and radio. Also, enhancing others of bathtub would have seven functions; emergency bell, blood-pressure check system for health condition, water temperature indicator, keeping water warm, reading a book in that, and controlling of house entrance door and a getting the phone during bath. The aged consumers' needs find throughout a questionnaire survey, and 497 data was analyzed. The main results are as follow. They consider a full bath behavior as a healthcare. They have an intention to purchase or use the elderly and friendly bathtub, and they prefer using it in common facilities to using it at home. They highly need health related function of bathtub, which are massage (64.4%), blood-pressure check system (55.1%) and aroma therapy (45.7%). The emergency bell (67.0%), keeping water warm (62.2%), and water temperature indicator (49.7%), related to safety & information function of bathtub, are needed. Also, they think tolerance for error and low physical effort in bathtub design alternative, opening door and inside sitting support, to be important.

        한국복지패널연구 자료를 기초로 주거환경과 우울감 및 자존감과의 관계 분석

        The primary purpose of this study is to prove the relationship between housing environment and mental health with depression and self-esteem in the republic of Korea. The raw data of 10,608 respondents, was gathered from the 4th wave of Korea Welfare Panel Study (KoWePS) in 2009. Some variables related to housing environment and mental health were selected in KoWePS' data. Data was analyzed by SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 17.0. The major results are as follow: 1) Householder economic variables significantly relate to housing environment and resident mental health. 2) Housing environment variables are significantly related to resident mental health, and these variables explain 4.3% of depression and 6.7% of self-esteem. 3) Throughout path analysis of economic, housing environment, and mental health variables, housing environment variable is a parameter. In conclusion, these results show that better quality of housing environment would contribute to the residents' better mental health.

        여성관련 공간을 중심으로 본 서울지역 아파트의 공간구조 변화

        The purpose of this study is to find out the changes on the metropolitan condominium apartment unit plans based on the interior spaces related to women such An-bang (master bedroom), bathroom and attached spaces to the master bedroom, living room, diningroom, kitchen, utility room, and balcony. This study used the content analysis method and space syntax. Contents were limited to the floor plans with 3 rooms type and about 105 m2 in the Korean apartment encyclopedia. The unit plans of 2,278, built from October 1975 to January 2008, were analyzed and basically SPSS package 16.0 was employed. The results were as followed. 1) Living room was a core space and an increasing tendency. After 2001, the design trend of living room connected with kitchen and dining room, and dining room changed into one space combining with women's working space such kitchen. It meaned women's working activities became into family public activities as to depending open access. 2) Kitchen had a characteristics that was connected to utility room or back balcony, and the number of extra kitchen increased. Also, the size of DK decreased, but utility size little increased. It was showed the characteristic of this space was still for women. 3) An-bang had a little strong characteristics of married coulpe or women's personal space with bathroom or dress room/powder room. 4) In addition, the values of integration and control of living room and DK were highest. It meant these space were centered in unit plans. Next, the An-bang and dress room/powder room were high. Utility room or balcony's were next, and these were women's working space. Therefore, family's public space was most important, and married couple or women's personal and working space were later in planning.

        농촌의 마을개선사업에 관한 마을 대표자의 요구 조사

        The purpose of this study was to find out the new directions of Korean rural village remodeling policy based on the representatives' needs in 32 rural villages. The villages were selected by accessibility, type of village construction, geographic characteristics of rural area, and administrative district. The interview data were collected from the representatives of each village. By analyzing the qualitative and the quantitative data, the following conclusions were derived: 1) The village remodeling program should be performed with a long schedule plan, flexible budget, and residents' participation. 2) In new villages, the post village management system should be set up in order to conserve the rural environment. 3) Above all, the expert service system based on government support should be done. The experts would guide residents by consulting about village tour, village viewscape of houses and facilities, and the merchandising of the village's specialized resources. 4) The rural village remodeling program should be carried out on the base of the sense of community and the elderly life.

        단독주택지의 어린이공원 리모델링을 위한 아동 요구에 관한 조사연구

        This survey is to find out children' needs of D children's park to remodel into a new one and their common opinions about the child playground, and to contribute these results to drive alternative plans. This park is very old and located in detached residential area, Wooa-dong, Deokjin-gu, Jeon-city. The survey was performed by a questionnaire, and the questionnaire was based on the relative literature reviews and was redesigned by researchers. Data were collected from 198 children, who had attended elementary school in Wooa-dong. By analyzing those data, findings were as follows: 1) Play experiences of D children's park were very important for children, so they remembered it. Above all, they remembered the perceptions of D children's park through playing on the playground facilities and the communication with their friends at that time. 2) Children would like to play creatively with facilities, but they need the traditional play facilities like a slide and a swing. So, it would be important for D children's park to plan well with the good facilities, and even it was mentioned in the literature reviews. The planning of park should be checked as an adventure playground, which can allow children to play creatively and with variety, however it should be still considered with some traditional playground facilities.

        어린시절 집에 대한 장소애착이 주거만족도에 미치는 영향

        This study examined significant factors explaining college students' place attachment to their childhood homes, developed the scale of that, and proposed statistically significant models to explain their place attachment to those home environments. We conducted a questionnaire survey with 32 items. Responses from 358 Michigan State University students were analyzed statistically. From the explanatory and confirmatory factor analysis, 31 items under 4 valid factors named Place dependence, Affection, Rootedness, and Place identity were obtained. This study additionally adapted six types of place attachment to childhood homes from Hess (1997), and examined these types. Idealization (Type1), affection (Type3), and transcendence (Type5) were chosen most often. Finally, this study explored the relationships between housing satisfaction and (1) the four place attachment factors and (2) the six types of place attachment. Results showed the four place attachment factors were more strongly related with housing satisfaction.

        Housing Characteristics and Determinants of Housing Cost Burden of Young Single- or Two-person Households in the U.S. Metropolitan Areas

        The purpose of this study was to explore housing characteristics of young single- or two-person households in the U.S. metropolitan urban areas and determinants of their housing cost burden. Total 764 single-person households, 744 two-person households and 424 households with three or more persons were selected from the 2011 American Housing Survey public-use microdata for the study based on specific sampling criteria. The major findings are as follows: (1) In comparisons with larger households, single- or two-person households were characterized to be headed by younger householders, to have less income, and to have a greater proportion of households living in central cities of metropolitan areas, renting housing units, living in smaller size units or multifamily structures; (3) housing cost of single- or two-person households were significantly less than a larger households while housing costs per unit square footage (SQFT) of single- or two-person households was significantly greater; (4) regardless of the household size, there are many household headed by young college graduates paying too much of their income for housing, and single-person households were found to have the greatest housing cost burden; and (5) a linear combination of low-income status, monthly housing costs per unit SQFT, annual household income, and unit SQFT per person was found to be most efficient to predict single- or two-person households with housing cost burden.

        주거복지 현장의 전문인력 직무내용과 특성 분석

        The study aimed to analyze roles and responsibilities of housing welfare professionals in fields in order to provide directions of the Housing Welfare Professional Certificate program operated by the Korean Housing Association. In October 2013, a series of interviews were performed to five housing welfare professionals in local governments, public enterprises and private organizations in order to explore field cases. Additionally, administrative works related to housing welfare were explored based on information from local government websites. It was found that roles and responsibilities of housing welfare professionals included a wide range of works such as provisions and management of public rental housing, housing counseling, investment and analysis of residential environment, exploring resources, education, and improvement of poor-condition housing and urban environment. In order for more efficient and effective provisions of housing welfare services, it was suggested to improve housing welfare service delivery systems and to make clear definition of job ranges, and knowledges and experiences required to be housing welfare professionals.
