COVID-19 대유행으로 인한 대구시민의 신체활동 변화와 영향요인

Objectives: We investigated relation between changes in physical activity during the COVID-19 pandemic and its related factors in Daegu Metropolitan City. Methods: 6,910 subjects were selected from 2020 Community Health Survey in Daegu. We analyzed the relation of changes in physical activity and general characteristics, health behavior, health status, health anxiety, mental health, chronic disease. Results: 49.7% of the total survey subjects, 47.8% of hypertensive patients, 46.7% of diabetic, and 54.3% of obesity patient showed a decrease in physical activity during the COVID-19 outbreak. Results by multiple logistic regression analysis, in female (odds ratio, OR=1.37; 95% confidence interval, CI=1.18-1.59), 19-29y (OR=1.49; 95% CI=1.18-1.88), 30s (OR=1.52; 95% CI=1.18-1.96), 40s (OR=1.55; 95% CI=1.20-2.00), residents in the urban area (OR=1.41; 95% CI=1.18-1.69), non-practice of moderate to vigorous physical activity (OR=1.49; 95% CI=1.26-1.76), high health anxiety from COVID-19 infection (OR=1.41; 95% CI=1.21-1.65), perceived depression (OR=1.90; 95% CI=1.50-2.40), and obesity (OR=1.23; 95% CI=1.07-1.41) more decreased than before COVID-19 pandemic in physical activity. Conclusions: The prolonged reduction in physical activity due to COVID-19 may increase the burden of disease on infectious and chronic diseases. Therefore, a public health intervention is essential to increase physical activity for the group with a high decrease in physical activity and then interventions are needed involving the entire population.

Objectives: We investigated relation between HDL-cholesterol and the incidence of impaired fasting glucose in obese and normal body weight by gender in Korean adults. Methods: 6,438 subjects aged 40-59 years (2,197 impaired fasting glucose, 4,241 normoglycemia) were selected except the patients with cardiovascular disease and pregnant women using 2016 KNHANES data. We analyzed the relation of impaired fasting glucose and HDL-cholesterol by BMI. Results: In both men and women regardless of BMI, who with low HDL-cholesterol significantly higher risk of impaired fasting glucose than who with normal HDL-cholesterol in unadjusted model. In except men with obesity, who with low HDL-cholesterol significantly higher risk of impaired fasting glucose than who with normal HDL-cholesterol when age, smoke, drink, exercise adjusted. In addition, women with normal BMI (OR, 1.82; 95% CI, 1.42-2.33) higher risk of impaired fasting glucose than women with obesity (OR, 1.57; 95% CI, 1.14-2.17). Conclusions: It is necessary to management of HDL-cholesterol to control impaired fasting glucose, except for obese men.

Objectives : Acupuncture is expected to have somewhat like the efficacy parallel increasing activity of immune system in Western modem medicine. There, already, are many animal researches on activating effect of acupuncture for the immune system in peripheral organs. So, we carried out this experiment to see whether acupuncture has controlling effect on interleukin-6(IL-6) activity in rat's brain. Methods and Results : We had topical application of IL-6(1U=lpg, $10{\mu}l$) on brain of rat. It reduced afferent sensory transmission to the primary somatosensory(SI) cortex from periphery. Whereas, electrical stimulation(ES, 2Hz, 1.5V, 15min) of ST36(足三里) with application of IL-6 prominently activated afferent sensory transmission. ES of non-acupoint(proximal tail) with IL-6 showed suppression of afferent transmission. ES of ST36 without IL-6 application also exerted facilitation of afferent transmission to the SI cortex. Conclusions : Electoacupuncture(EA) on ST36 has noticeable influences on modulating activation of IL-6 in central nervous system, which do major role in immune system.

The effects of Cervus elaphus and Cervus elaphus aquapuncuture on body weight, protein efficiency ratio, body length, serum growth hormone and intellectual development were studied for thirty-four days. The results were summarized as follows. 1. Body weight significantly increased in Cervus elaphus aquapuncture oral administration group compared to GH groups. 2. Protein efficiency ratio had no significant difference within all groups. 3. Body length significantly increased in Cervus elaphus aquapuncture group compared to GH injection group on 3rd day, tail length significantly increased in Cervus elaphus aquapuncture group and Cervus elaphus aquapuncture oral administration group compared to GH injection group but, body length has no significant difference within all groups. 4. Serum GH significantly increased in Cervus elaphus aquapuncture oral administration group compared to that of GH injection group. 5. As results of observing memory acquisition using Morris water maze system, there was no significant difference within all groups. 6. As results of observing retention using Morris water maze system, staying times significantly increased in Cervus elaphus aquapuncture oral administration group compared to that of GH injection group at Ist trial and 3rd trial. 7. As results of observing staining intensity of NADPH-d-positive neurons in tissue of hippocampal part, significant increasing of staining intensity were observed in septum and VDB of hippocampus in Cervus elaphus aquapuncture oral administration group compared to that of GH injection group. According to the above results, it is concluded that Cervus elaphus oral administration and Cervus elaphus aquapuncture on acupoint G39 showed effects on growth and intellectual development of animals.

The effects of Cervus elaphus aquapuncuture and Ginseng Radix aquapuncuture on the growth, protein efficiency ratio, contents of total protein, total cholesterol, and triglyceride in serum were studied for thirty four days. The results were summarized as follows. 1. Weight significantly increased in $0.3\%$ Cervus elaphus aquapuncture group on Chunchu loci and in $0.2\%$ Ginseng Radix aquapuncture group on Chunchu loci compared to normal saline aquapuncture group on Chunchu loci. 2. Protein efficiency ratio significantly increased in $0.2\%$ and $0.3\%$ of Cervus elaphus aquapuncture group on Chunchu loci and $0.1\%$, $0.2\%$ and $0.3\%$ of Ginseng Radix aquapuncture group on Chunchu loci compared to nonnal saline aquapuncture on Chunchu loci. 3. Total protein significantly increased in $0.2\%$ and $0.3\%$ of Cervus elaphus aquapuncture group on Chunchu loci compared to nonnal saline aqriapuncture On Chunchu loci. whereas it had a tendency to increase in $0.2\%$ Ginseng Radix aquapuncture group on Chunchu loci compared to normal saline aquapuncture group on Chunchu loci. 4. Total cholesterol increased a little in $0.3\%$ Cervus elaphus aquapuncture group on Chunchu loci compared to normal saline aquapuncture group on Chunchu loci. 5. Triglyceride significantly increased in $0.2\%$ Ginseng Radix aqua puncture group on Chunchu loci compared to normal saline aquapuncture group on Chunchu loci. Significance was acknowledged in the effect by density difference of medicines. In the Cervus elaphus group, there was the most significant increase in density of $0.3\%$ aquapuncture, whereas in Ginseng Radix group, there was the most significant increase in density of $0.2\%$ aquapuncture. So setting up density of medicines is important and many various studies for clinical application are required.
금연침에 대한 반응군과 비반응군의 유전자 다형성 차이 연구

Objectives: This study was designed to investigate the differences of effects in smoking cessation after acupuncture treatment and we hypothesized that the discrepancies might be caused by individual genetic differences. Methods: Acupuncture treatment was given to the subjects three times a week for the 231 healthy male Korean smokers without personal or familial history of psychiatric or neurological illness. We evaluated for differentiate responder and non-responder who showed more than 50% decrease in the cigarette consumption or the desire for smoking were regarded as responder, and less than 25% decrease in the cigarette consumption or the desire for smoking were regarded as non-responder, respectively. Allele and genotype frequencies of the Taq1 A polymorphism of dopamine D2 receptor (DRD2) gene were compared in 231male smokers. Chai-square analyses were performed to test for an interactive effect between the DRD2 Taq1 A allele. Results: The allele frequencies and genotype distributions of DRD2 gene among the smokers (n=231) showed significant the differences in their genotype distributions. The responder and non-responder showed the difference in genotype distribution with a prevalence of A1 allele. A slightly positive association of DRD2 Taq1 A1 genotypes with smoking was observed. Conclusions: This experiment results indicate that the present of DRD2 allele genotype showing significant difference in the genotype distributions between responders and non-responders could be explained by the difference in the genetic effect of DRD2 A1 allele.
