PisaengMyeongmongrok is written for the purpose of speaking ill of Lee, Gek Sin(李克信) lived during the period of Sunjo and Yinjo reign. The writer adopted specific types of novels, called Mongyurok and Chungi novel(傳奇小說). Mongyurok is a kind of novel dealing with social and historical problems in actuality. And Chungi novel is a sort of fictional narrative literature. But the actual orientation of it is different with general Mongyurok and Chungi novels. It takes on the character of parody. It was presumed by the authentic records of Chosun dynasty that the work was written in from October, 1605 to January, 1607. This fact speaks for the intention of the work, that is the purpose of demoting Lee, Gek Sin from the status of charging in personnel affairs(=吏曹佐郞). Lee was blamed for the corruption and desiring for power. But in actual, he is a competent el official. The writer is a member of Western Party or Southern Party in late the period of Sunjo reign, I strongly guess he is the member of Western Party. I think, it was written for politically agitative purposes, so it has to be called as a sort of an agitation work. <피생명몽록>은 선조-인조조의 실존 인물인 李克信을 개인적으로 비방하기 위해 창작되었다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 역사나 사회 현실에 대해 진지한 질문을 던지는 몽유록 형식을 빌리고 내부에 傳奇小說을 패러디하였다. 그러나 <피생명몽록>은 전기소설이나 몽유록의 일반적인 지향과는 상이한 노선을 택하고 있다. 조선왕조실록의 기록을 토대로 살펴본 결과, 이 작품은 이극신을 吏曹佐郞의 지위로부터 끌어내릴 목적으로 1605년 10월에서 1607년 1월 사이에 창작된 것으로 추측된다. 이극신은 권력추종적이고 부패한 관료로 자주 탄핵을 받았으나, 실제로는 유능한 실무관료였던 듯하다. 작자는 선조 말년의 정권에서 소외된 서인이나 남인일 것이며, 서인일 가능성이 더 높다. <피생명몽록>은 개인에 대한 비난 여론을 일으키는 것을 목적으로 하는 정치적 선동문학으로 평가된다.

새로운 변환 방식으로 최근 많이 사용하고 있는 웨이블릿 변환은 영상을 시간(위치정보)와 주파수 공간(주파수 정보)에서 동시에 표현함으로서 다른 변환 방식과는 큰 차이를 보여준다. 이런 웨이블릿 변환의 통계적 특성을 이용한 제로트리 분호화 기법은 영상 전체에서 의미 있는 영상 계수를 선별하여 약속된 우선 순위대로 부호화함으로서 매입 파일(embedded file)을 생성한다. 본 논문에서는 압축율이 큰 경우 제로 트리 부호화 과정 중 불확실 구간에서 발생하는 오차를 측정하여 최적의 오차 코드북을 생성한 후 복원시 참조함으로서 결과의 향상을 보이고자 하였다. 오차 교정은 제로트리 부호화 과정에서 손실되기 쉬운 고주파수 밴드에 적용하여 복원시 영상의 자세한 성분을 살리는데 효과적이었다. JPEG과 DCT기반 영상압축 결과에 비하여 화질에서 더 좋은 성분을 보일 뿐 아니라 고압축 복원시 발생하는 DCT 특유의 블록화 현상도 제거되었다.

<Hwasa>(花史=The History of Flowers) is the work which figured changes of blooming according to the change of seasons. Generally, thesis on <Hwasa> are not so many. Especially, researchers are neglected the study on the variant of the standard edition of <Hwasa> and stress the characteristics of <Hwasa> as a political allegory. So I investigated thirty different editions of <Hwasa>, and then reached the conclusion as follow. First, the variant of the standard edition of <Hwasa> are divided three different versions. The first version was adapted by Nam, Sungjung(南聖重) and had preface and epilogue. The second version was stepped up the causality of plot. The last version is close to the original edition. But up to now, the writer and the time of written doesn't clear. Second, researchers who explicated the subject of <Hwasa> as a political allegory were adopted the second as the textbook and researchers who explicated as a personified biographical novel were selected the last version as a textbook. Third, it is false that <Hwasa> could explicated as a allegory of parties conflicts. There are no parties conflicts in <Hwasa>, On the contrary, the writer expressed a strong confidence about the peace among parties. Last, <Hwasa> is not a novel but an miscellany. It is a successful work which combined the form and the content. And cheerfully, the writer used the method of describing history for sketching the world of flowers.

이명의 유병기간과 동반 청력손실이 인지행동치료에 미치는 효과

Background and Objectives Several reports indicated that tinnitus treatment was influenced by several factors including age of patients, concomitant hearing loss, onset and duration of tinnitus, etc. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the duration of tinnitus and the degree of hearing loss on the treatment outcomes. Subjects and Method Seventy-two subjects with tinnitus were divided into several groups according to the duration of tinnitus and the degree of hearing loss. All subjects were treated by cognitive-behavioral treatment program in tinnitus clinic. Treatment effects were studied by Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI) and Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), which were used to measure the loudness, awareness, and annoyance of tinnitus. Results THI and VAS scores were decreased significantly after the treatment. Tinnitus of 12 months or shorter duration showed greater improvement than those cases of longer than 12 months. The lower degree of hearing loss also showed greater improvement when compared with the greater degree of hearing loss. Conclusion Tinnitus of shorter duration and milder hearing loss showed better prognosis: the results of this study may help in treatment counseling for tinnitus patients. <Yeowachon> is a very unique novel, especially in view of characters. Characters in <Yeowachon> are borrowed from other novels and they are entirely women. I guess it is created before the last half of 18th century, because the name of novel exists <Ogwonchaehapkiyeon> list. It is investigated that <Yeowachon> has 17 manuscripts up to now. <Hwangreongmonghwanki>, a record of dream, is the latter part of <Yeowachon>. All characters in <Yeowachon> are created in other novels. This means that the characters in <Yeowachon> make us know the name and context of the novels, which are popular at that time. According to the preceded study, the writer of <Yeowachon> used the characters in <Yuhyogongseonhaengrok>, <Yussisamdaerok>, <Sohyonsongnok>, <Sossisamdaerok>, <Hanssisamdaerok>, <Okhwanbing>, <Sassinamjongki>, <Somunnok>, <Cuhakki> and <Okgirin>. As this study, I find out the fact that the characters in <Hyonbongssanguirok>, <Bingbingchon>, <Allakkukchon>, <Yiheonkyungchon>, <Okgyohaeng> also appear in <Yeowachon>. Generally we know some of these novels to be written in late 17th century. And Others are supposed to be created in the early 18th century. This fact means that <Yeowachon> is very important work to understand the history of novels, specially before the early 18th century. <Yeowachon> is consisted of three narrative parts. The first part is a beauty contest in the Hwangreong tomb, the second is a grant of reward by the Heaven. and the third is a fighting between Munchangsung and Kwanumbosal. The author of <Yeowachon> attempted to write new character and novel criticism novel. She accomplished her intentions through the rearranging characters' dispositions by her opinion. Of course, the writer at first showed public opinion about heroins in novel, and then she rearranged it. The analysis of rearranging characters' dispositions tell us the fact ; the measures to appraise works are a pure female virtue, a respect for the first wife, a women's desire of self-realization, a strong familism, a exclusion of Buddhism etc. The writer of <Yeowachon> make much of the novels that profess powerful familism and Confucianism, but despise the novels that are lack of moralities. <Yeowachon> was written at the stage of shaping a group of novels with powerful familism and Confucianism. So the results of this study are useful to understand the history of novels before the half of 18th century.
