요추 추간판 탈출증 환자의 음낭부 통증에 대한 장요근 MET를 병행한 한의학적 치료 증례보고

Objectives To evaluate the effect of iliopsoas muscles energy techniques(MET) combined with Korean medicine treatment in genital pain and other symptoms caused by lumbar disc herniation. Methods To evaluate the pain and function, visual analog scale(VAS), oswestry disability index(ODI), manual muscle test(MMT), straight leg raising test(SLRT) was measured. Results After treatment of 6 weeks, lower back pain declined from VAS 9 to 4, leg pain from VAS 6 to 3, genital pain from VAS 6 to 1. ODI score reduced from 84 to 37.78. MMT improved from Ⅲ/Ⅴ to Ⅴ/Ⅴ, and SLRT recovered from 30/50 to 70/70. Conclusions Treatment of iliopsoas MET and Korean medicine treatment is effective for genital pain and other symptoms caused by lumbar disc herniation. But further studies are required.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to review experimental studies of Parkinson`s Disease in Korean medical journals, which have been published since 1990. Methods: Experimental studies related to Parkinson`s disease published in Korean medical journals, registered with Korea research foundation, were searched. Articles were grouped into journal of publication, subject, and publication year. Experimental study subjects and models were analysed. Results and Conclusions: Twenty-two articles about experimental studies of Parkinson`s Disease in Korean medical journals were included in our review. There were 13 articles in which herbs were used for treatment, 4 articles in which bee venom was used for treatment, 4 articles in which acupuncture was used for treatment, and 1 article in which pharmacopuncture was used for treatment. Most of the studies used experimental models of MPTP-induced Parkinson`s disease and MTT assay was used to analyse cell toxicity and cell viability. Pole test, rotarod test, Morris water maze test, and forced swimming test were commonly used to analyse MPTP-induced behavioral deficits in animals. Analysis on experimental studies of Parkinson`s disease was categorized into the subjects of dopaminergic cell protective effect, cell-apoptosis protectiveness, anti-inflammatory effect, and anti-oxidative effect.
샤르코 마리투스 병 환자의 족관절 통증에 대한 족관절 추나를 병행한 한의학적 치료 증례보고

Background : Charcot Marie Tooth disease can cause muscle weakness and foot deformity. Ankle pain induced by foot deformity affect patients' gait pattern and quality of life. Objectives : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the traditional Korean medicine treatment for ankle pain induced with Charcot-Marie Tooth Disease, especially Chuna manual therapy on ankle joints. Methods : One patient was treated with acupuncture, phamacopuncture, herbal medication and chuna manual therapy on ankle joints. To evaluate the pain of ankle, lower back and lower extremity, visual analog scale(VAS) was measured. Results : After treatment for 5 week, the pain of ankle joint was declined from VAS 6 to VAS 2. Conclusions : Traditional Korean medicine treatment including acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, herbal medication and Chuna manual therapy is effective for ankle pain with foot deformity. But further studies are required to prove the effectiveness of Chuna manual therapy on ankle joints.

Objectives : It is necessary to manage herbal medicines based on effectiveness by comparing the efficacy of herbal medicines by region. In this study, we compared anti-oxidative activity and marker compounds of Eucommiae Cortex by regional groups. Methods : Eucommiae Cortex grown and harvested in Gangjin, Sancheong, Yeongwol, Jangsu, and Jecheon were used. Eucommiae Cortex was extracted in distilled water at 100℃ for 3 hours, and filtered. filtered. Extract samples were freeze-dried at -80℃. Comparison of anti-oxidant activity in Eucommiae Cortex samples from regional groups was measured in 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging, 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline- 6-sulphonic acid) (ABTS) free radical scavenging, and ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) between regional groups of Eucommiae Cortex. In addition, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis was conducted to compare pinoresinol diglucoside concentration by regional groups. Results : HPLC analysis found that pinoresinol diglucoside concentration, widely known as the marker compound of Eucommiae Cortex, was the highest in Gangwon Yeongwol. There was a significant difference in anti-oxidative activity of Eucommiae Cortex between regional groups as discovered in DPPH, ABTS and FRAP assays. DPPH free radical scavenging was the highest in Jeonbuk Jangsu. ABTS free radical scavenging was the highest in Jeonbuk Jangsu and Chungbuck Jecheon. FRAP was the highest in Jeonbuk Jangsu. Conclusions : Although pinoresinol diglucoside concentration was high, anti-oxidative activity was not proportionately high. Pinoresinol diglucoside concentration was the highest in Gangwon Yeongwol. Anti-oxidative activity was the highest in Jeonbuk Jangsu.
외상성 말초신경손상의 한의학적 치료에 대한 국내 연구 동향 고찰

Objectives The purpose of this study is to examines the domestic study trends on traumatic peripheral nerve injury treated with Korean medicine. Methods We investigated the studies on Korean medicine treatment for Traumatic Peripheral Nerve Injury via searching 6 online databases. Results As a result, 14 records were found to be analyzed according to their published year, the types of study, intervention, injured nerve, trauma and relevant outcome. Researchs have been continuously published in a form of clinical case report since 2012. The most treated interventions were acupuncture and herbal medication. Brachial plexus damage was the most common peripherial injury. Traffic accident was the first cause, and the mostly used tools for reports were visual analogue scale and range of motion. Conclusions Reviewing the domestic trends of studies on Korean medicine treatment for traumatic peripheral nerve injury would be conjugated to establish a basic knowledge of the future study. It is anticipated that this review benefits the future in-depth study on the treatments for traumatic peripheral nerve injury in terms of Korean medicine.
