With the recent popularity of free online machine translation services, researchers have been interested in the evaluation of machine translation systems. The increasing literature in the field, however, has not answered two important questions: how accurate the online machine translation for English to Korean is; and how the translation quality is determined by linguistic factors like argument structure and transitivity alternations. The purpose of this paper is to investigate linguistic determinants for successful machine translation of English into Korean, and to suggest possible directions for improving the translation quality from the perspective of lexical semantics. For this, we tested the accuracy of Google Translate (=GT) for English to Korean by using 260 sentences produced by Levin``s (1993) English verb classification. The quality of the translation was assessed with reference to Hampshire & Salvia``s (2010) criteria of clarity and fidelity. Results from the cumulative logit multinomial regression analysis showed that the lexical semantic differences between English and Korean caused the failure of translation, and that GT could not translate the conative and middle intransitive constructions in English accurately. In the end, we argue that the quality of machine translation can be improved above traditional non-linguistic approaches by incorporating in-depth linguistic principles.
움직임 요소 중심의 주제표현 수업을 위한 초등학교 블렌디드 러닝 사례연구

This study aims to develop a subject expression class program using blended learning and apply it to the sixth-grade elementary school class to derive its effectiveness around four motion elements (body, space, effort, relationship). As a result, first, students recognized body parts in various ways, and learned how to express themselves appropriately using the recognized body parts. Second, students learned to properly utilize spaces that span heights and widths to suit the subject, or creatively utilize movements in different directions to express the body. Third, the dynamic energy of movement increased, and the confidence and enjoyment of expression activity classes improved. Fourth, students learned how to express topics by utilizing visual effects using objects or people and smart devices. Furthermore, students naturally improved how to utilize smart devices(smart phone etc.). In addition, through cooperation with friends, it had a positive influence on creating a positive friendship and a class atmosphere.

In the past, most of companies competed through the price, quality and value of their products. However, we require new marketing tools which are differentiated from former strategies because these elements cannot be components of special marketing strategies anymore as the market has been digitalized and globalized. Meanwhile, since digital technology has features of Hypermedia, Mutability, Communication, Interactivity, it can be applied to the optimal way which makes connection between the products and consumers. Creating an opportunity to interact among companies, products and customers through the digitalized space is a new marketing paradigm which consumers experience products and companies transmit brand image to customer. The objectives of this study are to clarify on definition of space marketing, to analyze not only characters of the digital technology but also cases of digitized spaces, and to suggest the direction where space marketing should go. In conclusion, this study presents notion of the space marketing and discusses various important issues in space marketing area for the current consumers. In addition, it shows that the interactive information technology provides special experience to customers.
고객 균형할당을 고려한 다중 차고 차량경로문제의 최적화 모델

최근 국내외 물류 비즈니스 환경은 정보기술의 발달과 글로벌화로 인해 점점 다양하고 맞춤화된 고객의 요구에 직면하고 있다. 이러한 비즈니스 환경에서 물류 네트워크 경쟁력의 핵심은 최소의 비용으로 빠른 배송 서비스를 고객에게 제공하는 것이다. 본 연구의 목적은 다중 차고에 고객을 균형할당하고 각 차고의 차량경로 최소화를 통해 비용과 서비스를 모두 충족하는 물류 네트워크 최적화이다. 이를 위해 균형할당 문제와 차량경로 문제를 이용한 균형할당 차량 경로문제를 정의한다. 균형할당 차량경로문제는 고객의 수가 증가함에 따라 해를 구하는데 많은 시간이 소요되는 조합 최적화 문제이다. 우리는 균형할당 차량경로문제의 수리모형과 알고리즘을 제시하고 수치실험을 통해 그 효율성을 입증한다. 또한, 본 연구는 고객 균형할당과 차량경로를 동시에 고려한 최초의 연구로 제시하는 수리모형과 알고리즘은 관련 연구의 기초를 확립하는데 큰 기여할 것으로 예상 된다.
