This paper presents an experimental result of tilting control for a suction bucket foundation consisting of internal cells. The tilting control was implemented by separately controlling pressure difference between each cell. The 1/100 scale model was used and installed in sand. The model was made of acrylic, and was designed to observe the insides of the cells the during the test. A series of tilting control tests for the model foundation was carried out with multiple combinations of positive and/or negative pressure applied to each cell. It was found that the tilting control enabled suction bucket foundation to be repositioned over 1° during installation, and 0.25° during operation. Sand boiling was observed inside the cells in some cases, concluding that methods mitigating sand boiling should be adopted. 본 연구는 석션버켓 기초의 기울기 제어에 대한 모형실험으로 단일형 석션버켓 기초 내부에 여러 개의 격실을 두고 각 격실 내부 압력을 독립적으로 조절하여 모형 석션버켓 기초의 기울기를 제어하는 실험을 수행하였다. 모형의 크기는 실제크기의 1/100로 하였고 모래지반에서 수행되었다. 모형은 아크릴로 제작하였으며 실험 중 내부격실의 변화를 육안으로 관찰할 수 있도록 하였다. 각 격실별로 정압 및 부압을 다양하게 조합하여 모형기초의 기울기 제어 실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과 시공중에서 는 1°이상의 기울기 제어가 가능하였으며 운용중에는 0.25°의 기울기 제어가 가능한 것으로 나타났다. 일부 case에서 격실 내에서 보일링이 관찰되어 보일링 저감대책이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

The objective or this study is to obtain the fundamental data or layered rubber bearings to prevent the excessive vibration due to the operation of large industrial facilities or transportations. Therefore, the characteristics of the layered rubber bearings are different from those of the layered rubber bearings which are developed mainly for the seismic reduction of structures. Five kinds of the layered rubber bearings are manufactured with different thickness of rubbers and number of plates. The buckling resistance loads are found experimentally for each set of the layered rubber bearings and the relationships between restoring forces and displacements are obtained. All these findings will be employed to design and manufacture the layered rubber bearings which are used for the vibration reduction of structures.

Steel plates are used as ductile dampers which dissipated the input energy by hysteretic behavior. Several types of steel plate dampers are experimentally tested depending on the number of slits in the dampers and loading characteristics. An experimental study was carried out for steel plate dampers utilizing flexural, shear deformation mode into the inelastic range. The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of dampers, having different geometrical configuration, such as energy dissipation capacity and hysteretic behavior in repeated inelastic deformations. Experimental tests indicated that all the tested devices exhibited stable hysteretic behaviors and sustain an large number of yielding reversals(100 cycles).
