We have processed the developing of vane damper with accurate control by using bevel gear which is a flow-control equipment of marine boiler's FD fan on this research. For the developing of vane damper, we have corrected some problem from welding & assembly process by changing the design, and for the case of an emergency case, we have applied the easy disassembly & assembly on that vane damper. Compared to rink type vane damper in current, we have focused on high efficiency with low price of that new developing damper. For selection of actuator, we have tried to find the propriety with our developing focus. Also, we have developed a jig of assembly processing for high productivity with quality, it caused the best assembly performance with heat-treated & processed parts.

The pump-pipe-injector system is that most commonly used type of injection equipment for diesel engines. In this study, a new electromagnetic fuel injection system was designed and carried out the experiment of single cylinder direct injection(DI) diesel engine. This system do not need the earn shaft for fuel injection. The effects of the injection timing on the combustion process and and emission were investigated. The results are that 1) atomization was improved, 2) combustion pressure was increased and ignition delay became shorter than before, 3) Low smoke level guar-antee with more advanced injection timing without abnormal combustion but NOx concentration was increased as the injection time advanced.

The object of this research is to detect abnormal combustion like misfire and to keep the engine performance in the optimal operating state. Development of a new system therefore could be applied to a real car. To realize this, the spark-plug in a conventional ignition system is used as a misfire detection sensor and breakdown voltage is analyzed. In this research, bias voltage(about 3kV) was applied to the electrodes of spark-plug and breakdown voltage signal is obtained. This breakdown voltage signal is analyzed and found that a combustion phenomena in engine cylinder has close relationship with harmonic coefficient K which was introduced in this research. Newly developed combustion diagnostic method(breakdown voltage signal analysis) from this research can be used for the combustion diagnostic and combustion control system in a real car.
Superficial Temporal Fascia Free Flap의 임상적 이용

Vascularized tissue coverage is necessary for the treatment of soft tissue defect on hand and foot dorsum, which cannot be successfully covered with simple skin graft due to exposed bone and tendon. Recently developed superficial temporal fascia free flap is an ideal tissue source for free transfer to distant sites where thin coverage is either desirable or mandatory. The superficial temporal fascia free flap combined with split thickness skin graft provides excellent bony coverage and tendon gliding with good aesthetic results on donor and recipient sites. The authors have found this flap useful (1) in covering exposed bone and tendon without adding unwanted bulk, (2) in providing thin flap coverage or lining in hand and foot area, and (3) in avoiding donor deformity. Recently, the authors have employed this free fascia flap in 3 cases which involved deep open wounds on hand and foot dorsum due to skin cancer, electrical burn, and extravasation of chemotherapeutic agent.
