흡연과 요통치료의 상관성에 대한 임상적 고찰

Objective : This study was performed to estimate the association between cigarette smoking and effect of oriental medical treatment in low back pain. Methods : We reviewed 40 male patients of low back pain, who were hospitalized at the Oriental Medical Hospital of Se-Myung University. 40 patients were divided into 2 groups(smokers, non-smokers) and effective scores of treatments were measured on age, symptom, etc. Result & Conclusion : Between smokers and non-smokers, statistically significant differences were not found in effective scores of treatments of low back pain, but in almost every non-smokers, they were higher than those of smokers. They seems to show that possibility of the association between cigarette smoking and effect of oriental medical treatment in low back pain.

Canopy Model 적용을 통한 도심지 풍환경 예측 CFD 시뮬레이션 결과의 보정

Recently rapid urbanization facilitates development of high-rise building complex including apartment and office building in urban area. Many problems related with high -rise building are reported. Especially, unpleasant strong winds in pedestrian area are frequently encountered around the high-rise building. CFD simulation methods are used to analyze the wind environment of pedestrian level in high-rise building block. However, the results show differences between CFD and measurement. This difference is attributed to improper use of CFD. Conventional CFD simulation for wind environment around high-rise building does not describe the effect of trees, shrubs and plants near ground which affect the wind environment of pedestrian level. Canopy model can be used to reproduce the aerodynamic effects of trees, shrubs and plants near ground. In this paper, CFD simulation methods coupled with the tree canopy model to predict wind environment of pedestrian level in high-rise residential building block were suggested and the validity was analyzed by comparison between measurement and CFD results.

청소년을 대상으로 한 표준화 요구사항 분석

본 연구는 고등학생들에게 가장 필요한 표준화 부분에 대해서 확인하기 위해 설문조사를 통해서 고등학생들이 가장 바라고 있는 표준화 영역에 대한 조사를 실시하였다. 고등학생들은 대학에 진학하기 위해서 다양한 서류를 준비하고 이런 서류를 기반으로 대학에 진학하게 되어지므로, 학교 생활을 통해서 전국에 있는 고등학교에 표준화가 선행되어져야하는 것은 무엇인지를 파악하기 위해서 고등학생, 대학생, 학교 교사를 중심으로 설문조사를 실시하여 요구사항을 파악하였으며, 이번 연구를 위해서 조사된 요구사항이 정책에 반영할 수 있도록 제안한 연구이다. This research explains the most important standardization of future areas that high school students are interested in. High school students prepare various type of documents for their application into universities. I made a survey about students suggestions and their opinions about standardization requirement. This research is a proposal for policy approval.

대학생들의 수면의 질과 우울증상과의 관계

Objectives:The aim of study was to estimate the prevalence of poor sleep quality and depressive symptoms as well as to examine the moderating effect of positive psychology on the relationship between poor sleep quality and depressive symptoms among Korean university students. Methods:A total of 2,338(1,071 male and 1,267 female) university students at seven universities of four cities in Korea were randomly selected to participate in a survey. Data were collected by self-report questionnaires, including Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI), Beck Depression Inventory(BDI), Satisfaction with Life Scale(SWLS), Positive Psychotherapy Inventory(PPTI), and sociodemographic characteristics. Results:The prevalence was 44.8% for poor sleep quality and 14.4% for depressive symptoms among Korean university students. By moderated regression analysis, the results showed that poor sleep quality(β=0.453, p<0.001) aggravated depressive symptoms of university students, and life satisfaction(β=-0.087, p<0.001) and happiness(β=-0.145, p<0.001) respectively buffered the negative effect of the poor sleep quality on depressive symptoms. Conclusion:This study showed very high prevalence of poor sleep quality and depressive symptoms among Korean university students. Overall, these findings demonstrates that positive psychology can be effective in the enhancement of subjective and psychological well-being and may help to reduce depressive symptom levels. In the context of public health, positive psychology can be used as preventive, easily accessible and non-stigmatizing tools.

후보자의 지역대표성이 득표율과 당선가능성에 미치는 영향력: 제20대 국회의원 선거 결과에 대한 분석

본 연구는 20대 국회의원 선거에 출마한 933명의 후보자들을 분석대상으로 삼아 선거공보와 인터넷 자료에 명시된 출생지와 졸업 학교에 기반을 두어 후보자의 지역대표성을 시와 군 단위에서 측정한 후 이런 지역대표성이 후보자의 득표율과 당선가능성에 어떤 영향력을 미치는지를 회귀분석을 통해 검토했다. 그 결과, 다른 변수들의 효과를 통제했을 때 후보자의 지역대표성이 높을수록 후보자의 득표율 역시 높아졌으며 이런 효과는 수도권보다는 비수도권에서 더욱 명확하게 드러났다. 또한 전체 후보자들을 분석대상으로 삼았을 때 지역대표성이 후보자의 당선을 결정지을 만큼 큰 효과는 가지지 못했지만, 분석대상을 비현역 국회의원들로 한정시킬 경우 후보자의 지역대표성이 국회의원 당선 여부에 통계적으로 유의한 효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 학연과 지연을 기반으로 하는 후보자의 지역대표성이 국회의원 선거에서 유권자의 선택에 적지 않은 영향력을 행사한다는 것을 증명하고 있다. This research examines “friends and neighbors” effect in the Korean National Assembly Election in 2016. For doing so, characteristics of candidates that represent localism were measured based on where candidates are born and graduated from elementary, middle, and high school, and its effects on election outcomes were examined using regression analysis. It is found that “friends and neighbors” voting is important in explaining election outcomes Holding other variables constant, the more local characteristics of candidates represent constituency, the higher percentage of the votes earned by the candidates is likely to be. Also, although local characteristics of incumbents do not have any effects on their wins in the election, those of challengers are likely to change their winning possibility.

사회적기업 제품에 대한 소비가치가 태도 및 구매의도에 미치는 영향

Social enterprises have received a great deal of attention from practitioners and academics. However, little researches have been conducted from social enterprise consumption`s values. We focus on relationships among social enterprise product`s consumption value(functional value, emotional value, social value, and rarity value), attitude and purchase intentions. We executed in two hypotheses. Our hypotheses are that social enterprise product`s consumption value can affect the consumer`s attitude and then the consumer`s attitude can affect the purchase intention. For this study, our research objects were university students as potential consumers. We investigated from Nov 1st to Nov 15th 2013, and used statistical program SPSS version 19.0 and SmartPLS statistical program. The results of this study are summarized as follows : First, the social enterprise product`s Consumption sub-factor(functional value, emotional value, social value, and rarity value) are positive. Among them, rarity value is very significant. Second, between consumer`s attitude and purchase intention are positive. In addition, consumer attitudes have a function of mediation between consumption value and purchase intention.

국회의원 공약이행에 영향을 미치는 정치적 요인 분석

본 연구는 국회의원들의 공약이행에 미치는 정치적 요인을 알기 위해서 한국매니페스토 실천본부에서 조사한 제19대 국회의원의 공약이행 평가 자료를 기초로 개별 지역구 국회의원들의 공약이행률을 검토하고 국회의원 선거공약과 정당공약과의 일치율, 국회의원의 개인적 역량과 지역구 특성이 공약이행률에 미치는 효과를 회귀분석을 통해 분석했다. 그 결과 국회의원의 선거공약이 양대 정당(새누리당과 민주통합당) 공약에 모두 제시될수록 공약이행률이 높아진 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 국회의원의 선거공약이 새누리당이든 민주통합당이든 어떤 한 정당의 공약하고만 일치할 경우에는 공약이행률이 높아지지는 않았다. 이러한 결과는 제19대 국회에서 국회선진화법이 시행됨으로써 양대 정당 중 어느 한 당의 반대가 있다면 제도적으로 어떤 공약도 시행되기 어려운 현실을 반영한 것이며 유권자들과의 약속을 지키는 책임정치의 실현을 위해서는 정당 간의 정치적 합의가 중요하다는 것을 증명하고 있다. This article examines the political determination of incongruence between campaign promises and the subsequent legislative behavior in the 19th National Assembly of the Republic of Korea by analyzing Korea Manifesto Center’s evaluation report for the fulfillment of campaign promises. As a result, we find that individual campaign promises are likely to be carried out if they are included in both major political parties’ manifesto that were published during the election campaign. In other words, individual campaign promises are less likely to carried out if they dissent from the policy position of one of the major parties. It shows that the major opposition party, acting as a veto player, can prevent or delay the enactment of legislation and public policy suggested by the ruling party. Thus, a members of the National Assembly needs approval of major party leaders and of an absolute majority of the National Assembly to carry out his campaign promises.

This study was carried out to investigate the effect of roman chamomile inhalation on autonomic nervous system(ANS) of middle-aged women. The roman chamomile was inhaled for 1 minute. Electrocardiography(ECG) and electroencephalogram(EEG) were measured before, immediately after, and 10 minutes later the inhalation. As a result of the analysis of heart rate variability(HRV), low frequency(LF), high frequency(HF), total power(TP) and standard deviation of R-R intervals(SDNN) were increased. However, percentage of NN50(pNN50) was decreased. Increase in LF(p>0.50), HF, TP and decrease in pNN50 meant that activity of parasympathetic nerve was generally increased(p<0.05). The increase in SDNN reflected an increase in resistance against stress. When the amount of relative change in EEG was examined, alpha(α, p<0.05), low alpha(L·α, p>0.05), and alpha/beta(α/β, p<0.05) were increased while high alpha(H·α, p<0.05) was decreased. These results showed stability, deep relaxation, and relieved tension. Furthermore, there was no change in the value of beta(α). In addition, the fact that the value of β has rarely changed meant that the inhalation of roman chamomile was not a stress stimulating factor(p>0.05). Thus, roman chamomile inhalation showd positive change in HRV and EEG. It ultimately led to stability of mind and body through increasing the activity of parasympathetic nerve in the ANS.
