This paper presents the work which transformed a well-known face detection algorithm into a hardware ASIC chip, and shows that the hardware design can be effectively used for embedded system applications in which low cost real time performance is essential. The algorithm was modified to find an optimal word length of data path, and synthesized into hardware using Verilog HDL(hardware description language). The designed hardware was verified using Xilinx Virtex-4 FPGA(field programmable gate array) and ARM920T microprocessor, and converted into ASIC chip using 0.25 ㎛ CMOS process of Magnachip Co. The die size was about 5.8㎜ × 5.8㎜ and its average operation speed was 0.11 sec/frame at 100 ㎒ clock, which was much faster than software implementation.

N/A Objective : In order to determine the prevention effects of oral administration with HyeungBungJiHumflangW3JHT) on the liver cirrhosis of rats induced by long time carbon tetrachloride injection, the changes of body weight and gains, absolute and relative liver weight, biochemistry of blood, histopathological changes, urine specific gravity and urine bilirubin levels were monitored after 10 weeks of concomitantly dosing of HBJHT extract(per os) and CCl₄(i.p). Method : The WBJHT extracts were daily dosed at 50(T1), l00(T2) and 200(T3)ms/kg for 10 weeks. Result : The body weight and gains were significantly and dose dependently increased in HBJHT treated group compared to that of CCl₄treated control group. The absolute and relative liver weight were significantly and dose dependently reduced in HBJHT treated group compared to that of CCl₄treated control group. Severe hepatocellular necrosis and ballooning, hyperplasia of connective tissue and subdue reduction of hepatic lobule, hyperplasia of bile duct in portal triad were dramatically decreased in HBJHT treated group compared to that of CCl₄treated control group in histopathological observation.The diameter of hepatic lobules was significantly enlarged, and in HBJHT treated group compared to that of cc14 treated control group, and the numbers of connective tissue, degenerative cell and bile duct were significantly and dose dependently decreased. The levels of serum AST, ALT, LDH, ALP, GGT and total bilirubin were SignificantJy and dose dependently reduced in HBJHT treated group compared to that of CCl₄treated control group. The urine specific gravities were significantly and dose dependently increased, and the urine bilirubin levels were decreased in HBJHT treated group compared to that of CCl₄treated control group. Conclustions : it is considered that HBJWT extracts have some favorable effect to prevent the induce of hepatic cirrhosis by CCl₄injection.

본 연구에서는 ACE 저해능 및 항산화능이 있는 식물성 젖산균을 다양한 식물체로부터 분리한 후, 그 특성을 조사하였다. 김치, 부추, 포도 및 동동주에서 K-1, K-21, L-5, G-3 및 D-3 균주가 분리되었으며, 16S rRNA gene 염기서열 분석을 통하여 이들은 각각 Pediococcus pentosaceus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Weissella cibaria, L. plantarum 및 L. brevis로 동정되었다. 분리균주들은 MRS broth에서 44.3-71.9%의 ACE 저해능을 나타내었으며, 특히 G-3, L-5, K-1 균주는 skim milk가 함유된 MRS broth에서 59.0-8-98.6%의 높은 ACE 저해능을 나타내었다. 분리균주는 42.5-82.7%의 DPPH radical 소거능을 나타내었으며, G-3 및 K-1 균주는 pH 2.5의 인공위액에서 42.2-88.1%의 높은 생존율을 나타내었다. 분리균주는 0.3% oxgall에서 24시간 배양시 55.4-112.8%의 내성을 나타내었다. 또한 분리균주는 유기산 생성에 따른 pH 감소 효과로 인하여 Pseudomonas aeruginosa를 포함한 일부 병원성 세균의 생육을 억제할 수 있었다. In this study, we isolated and characterized plant-associated lactic acid bacteria which are able to produce angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitory and antioxidative activities. Five lactic acid bacteria were isolated from plants (grape and leek), a plant-associated fermentative product (Kimchi) and Korean traditional alcohol (Dongdongju). Strains K-1 and K-21 from Kimchi, strain L-5 from leek, strain G-3 from grape, and strain D-3 from Dongdongju were identified as Pediococcus pentosaceus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Weissella cibaria, L. plantarum, and L. brevis, respectively, by 16S rRNA gene analysis. ACE inhibitory activities of isolated strains ranged from 44.3 to 71.9% in the MRS broth. G-3, L-5 and K-1 strains especially showed high ACE inhibitory activities (59.8-98.69%) in the MRS broth containing skim milk. DPPH radical scavenging activities of the strains were in the range of 42.5-82.7%. All strains showed varying levels of resistance in artificial gastric fluid (pH 2.5), retaining viability ranging from 42.2 to 88.1% after 3 hr of incubation. All strains showed high resistance to 0.3% oxgall after 24 hr of incubation; survival rates were in the range of 55.4-112.8%. Isolated strains were found to be antagonistic to some pathogens including Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Plant lactic acid bacteria were isolated from plant-associated fermentative foods and crops, and their probiotic properties were investigated. Isolates K27 and O2 were isolated from Kimchi and onion, and identified as Lactobacillus plantarum on the basis of 16S rRNA gene analysis. The two strains were highly resistant to acid (an MRS broth at pH 2.5), where the survival rates of L. plantarum K27 and L. plantarum O2 were 90.2% and 97.3%, respectively. L. plantarum K27 and L. plantarum O2 also showed high bile resistance to 0.5% oxgall, with a more than 70% survival rate. They showed an inhibitory effect against pathogenic strains of Escherichia coli KCCM 40880 and Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 10145. The antibacterial effect of the two strains was probably due to the presence of lactic acid. ACE inhibitory activities of the two strains ranged from 72.8% to 80.6% in MRS broth. Notably, the two strains showed high ACE inhibitory activity (89.2~98.2%) in MRS broth containing 10% skim milk. Antioxidant activity was tested by DPPH radical scavenging activity, with antioxidant activities of the strains being in the range of 56.8~61.5%. The results obtained in this study suggest that L. plantarum K27 and L. plantarum O2 may be potential probiotic starter cultures with applications with fermentative products.
심전도 기반 자율감각쾌락반응의 심신안정상태 유도 효과 검증

사회에 만연한 정신과 진찰에 대한 편견과 거부감으로 적절한 시기에 정신건강 상담과 치료를 받지 못하는 정신질환 환자가 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 정신과 치료를 대체하기 위해 최근 청각, 시각적 자극을 통한 자율안정쾌락반응(autonomous sensory meridian response: ASMR)이 주목받고 있으며 많은 사용자가 심리적 안정 효과를 보고하고 있다. 그러나 현재까지 ASMR의 심리적 안정 효과를 정량적으로 확인한 연구가 미비하며, 심리적 거부감과 부담이 적은 정신건강 증진 보조 시스템으로 활용을 위해 ASMR의 객관적 안정 효과의 검증이 선행되어야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 임상에서 정신 건강 진단에 사용되는 심전도를 이용하여 ASMR 자극 종류와 청취 방법별 심리적 안정 효과를 객관적으로 검증하였다. 그 결과, ASMR 자극 중 속삭임 자극이 심박수 저하 효과가 있었으며, 영상을 통한 자극 청취방법을 사용할 경우 저/고주파수 파워 비율이 감소됨을 통해 심리적 안정 효과의 가능성을 확인하였다. The number of mentally ill patients who refuse psychiatric treatment at an appropriate time is constantly increasing due to the prejudice and rejection of psychiatric assessment. Recently, the autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) with auditory and visual stimuli attracts attention as an alternative to psychiatric treatment, and its effect on psychological stability has been reported by users. However, most of previous studies have not quantified the positive effect of ASMR, thereby there is little objective evidence that ASMR can be used as a mental health care system with less psychological burden. Therefore, the objective psychological stability effect of ASMR should be first confirmed. In this study, the psychological stability effect on ASMR with different type and stimuli method was objectively confirmed using the electrocardiogram (ECG) used for diagnosis in clinical psychology. As a result, whispering stimuli of ASMR has effect of heart rate reduction. Moreover, the possibility of psychological stability was confirmed by decreasing the low/high frequency power ratio when stimuli presented as an video.
