        Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the level of spirituality and related factors with spirituality among nursing students. Methods: The data was collected from 205 nursing students using self-report questionnaire. Data was analyzed by frequencies, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test using the SPSS program. Results : Spirituality among nursing students was The level of average. In the subcategories, the meaning and purpose in life was the highest and transcendence was the lowest. There were significant differences in the level of spirituality by religion and satisfaction on major. Conclusion: To improve nursing students spirituality, we should invigorate religious clubs and make an effort to improve satisfaction on major and come up with strategy for effective spiritual care education

        대인외상 경험 대학생의 외상 후 인지와 외상 후 성장 간의 관계에서 건강증진행위의 매개효과

        This study examined the mediating effects of health promotion behavior on relationship between post-traumatic cognitions and post-traumatic growth in college students experienced interpersonal trauma. The participants were 148 college students recruited from 2 universities in B and D cities in South Korea. Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, Baron and Kenny's regression method, and the Sobel test. The mean scores for post-traumatic growth was found to be above average. Post-traumatic growth was significantly different according to religion, perceived interpersonal relationships, and perceived physical health statue. Post-traumatic growth was significant negative correlation with post-traumatic cognitions and positive correlation with health promotion behavior. Baron and Kenny's regression method and the Sobel test identified the partial mediating effects of health promotion behavior on the association between post-traumatic cognitions and post-traumatic growth. Based on the results of this study, strategies to increase the health promotion behavior are highly recommended in the management of post-traumatic growth among college students experienced interpersonal trauma. 본 연구는 대인외상 경험이 있는 대학생의 외상 후 인지와 외상 후 성장 간의 관계에서 건강증진행위의 매개효과를 조사하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 본 연구 대상자는 B와 D시의 2개 4년제 대학의 재학생으로 대인외상 경험이 있는 148명이었다. 자료는 t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, Baron and Kenny의 회귀분석과 Sobel test를 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 대상자의 외상 후 성장 수준은 중간보다 높은 수준으로 나타났다. 일반적 특성 중 종교, 지각된 대인관계, 지각된 신체건강상태에 따라 대인외상 경험 대학생의 외상 후 성장은 유의한 차이가 있었다. 외상 후 성장은 외상 후 인지와 부적 상관관계가 있었고, 건강증진행위와는 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 건강증진행위는 외상 후 인지와 외상 후 성장 간의 관계에서 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로, 대인외상 경험이 있는 대학생의 건강증진행위를 증가시키는 것은 외상 후 성장을 중재하는데 효과적인 전략이 될 수 있다.

        대학생의 특성분노 수준에 따른 특성분노 영향요인

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate factors affecting trait anger level in undergraduate students. Methods: The participants consisted of 315 undergraduate students at the universities in the P and D cities. Data were collected with a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple stepwise regression with the SPSS/Win 20.0 program. Results: The low trait anger group showed lower levels of anger-out, anger-in and depression compared to the high trait anger group. The anger-control and positive thinking were higher in the low trait anger group than that of high trait anger group. The result of multiple stepwise regression showed that both depression and anger-out were predictors in trait anger in the both groups. In the low trait anger group, anger-control, anger-in, depression, and anger-out were significant factors of trait anger, which accounted for 31% of the total variance. High trait anger level was affected by depression, anger-out and positive thinking, which explained 40% of trait anger. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that anger management program for undergraduate students should consider trait anger level as well as approaches with customized strategies according to trait anger level.

        The Mediating Effects of Social Support and a Grateful Disposition on the Relationship between Life Stress and Anger in Korean Nursing Students

        Purpose: Anger management is a very important issue for nursing education. However, there is a lack of research identifying related factors. This study examined the mediating effects of social support and a grateful disposition on the relationship between life stress and anger in nursing students. Methods: The participants were 172 nursing students recruited from two universities in cities in South Korea. Baron and Kenny's regression method and the Sobel test were used to analyze the mediating effects of social support and a grateful disposition on the association between life stress and anger. Results: There were significant correlations between life stress, social support, a grateful disposition, and anger. In addition, social support and a grateful disposition exerted full mediating effects on the relationship between life stress and anger. Conclusion: Based on this study's results, enhancing social support and grateful disposition could help nursing students who experience anger resulting from life stress to manage their anger effectively. This finding suggests that, as specific strategies for anger management, nursing educators should encourage nursing students to use sources of social support and to engage in various gratitude activities.

        간호대학생의 코로나바이러스불안, 스트레스 대처전략과 긍정심리자본이 대학생활 적응에 미치는 영향

        목적 본 연구는 간호대학생을 대상으로 코로나바이러스불안, 스트레스 대처전략과 긍정심리자본이 대학생활 적응에 미치는 영향을확인하고자 실시된 서술적 조사연구이다. 방법 본 연구는 2021년 4월 8일부터 4월 15일까지 전국에 소재한 간호학과 재학생 150명을 대상으로 온라인을 통하여 설문조사를 진행하였다. 자료 수집은 코로나바이러스불안, 스트레스 대처전략, 긍정심리자본과 대학생활적응을 측정하는 자가 보고형 설문지를 사용하여 실시하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 25.0 프로그램을 활용하여 서술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, Stepwise multiple regression을 이용하여 분석하였다. 결과 첫째, 대상자의 일반적 특성 중 거주형태와 전공만족도에 따라 대학생활적응에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 간호대학생의 스트레스대처전략, 긍정심리자본, 대학생활 적응은 유의한 정적 상관관계가 나타났지만, 코로나바이러스불안과는 유의한 상관관계가 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 간호대학생의 대학생활 적응에 영향을 미치는 요인은 긍정심리자본 하위요인 중 희망, 낙관주의, 거주형태, 자기효능감과 스트레스 대처전략의 하위요인 중 문제해결중심으로 나타났으며, 이들 변수의 대학생활 적응에 대한설명력은 55.5%였다. 결론 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 간호대학생의 대학생활적응을 위해서 긍정심리자본과 스트레스 대처전략을 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하여 적용하는 것이 필요하다. Objectives This study is a descriptive research study conducted to confirm the effects of coronavirus anxiety, stress coping strategies and positive psychological capital on college life adjustment for nursing students. Methods This study conducted an online survey of 150 nursing students located across the country from April 8 to April 15, 2021. Data collection was conducted using a self-report questionnaire measuring coronavirus anxiety, stress coping strategies, positive psychological capital, and college life adjustment. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression using the SPSS 25.0 program. Results First, it was found that there was a significant difference in college life adaptation according to the type of residence and major satisfaction among the general characteristics of the subjects. Second, there was a significant positive correlation between stress coping strategies, positive psychological capital, and college life adaptation of nursing students, but no significant correlation with coronavirus anxiety. Third, factors influencing the college life adjustment of nursing students were found to be problem-solving among the sub-factors of hope, optimism, living style, self-efficacy and stress coping strategies among the positive psychological capital sub-factors and the explanatory power was 55.5%. Conclusions Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop and apply a program that can improve positive psychological capital and stress coping strategies for nursing students to adjust to college life.

        간호대학생의 임상실습 스트레스와 공감역량의 관계: 간호전문직관의 매개효과

        Purpose: This study examined the mediating effects of nursing professionalism on the relationship between the stress of clinical practice and compassion competence in nursing students. Methods: A correlational research design was used in this study. The participants were 120 nursing students recruited from three universities in South Korea. Data were collected using the self-reporting scales of stress of clinical practice, nursing professionalism, and compassion competence. Baron and Kenny's regression method and the Sobel test were used to analyze the mediating effects of nursing professionalism on the association between the stress of clinical practice and compassion competence. Results: The mean score for compassion competence was above average. Of the compassion competence domains, sensitivity and insights had the highest and lowest scores, respectively; there were significant mean differences in compassion competence scores according to their grade and level of satisfaction with nursing major. Compassion competence correlated negatively with the stress of clinical practice, whereas it correlated positively with nursing professionalism. In addition, nursing professionalism exerted full mediating effects on the relationship between the stress of clinical practice and compassion competence. Conclusion: The results suggested that enhancing nursing professionalism could help promote compassion competence among nursing students who experience stress in clinical practice.

        정신질환자 가족의 자기돌봄 경험

        Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find out the meaning of self-care experiences of family members of mentally ill patients and describe its essential structure. Methods: The Giorgi's phenomenological research methodology was used. Six families participated in this study. In-depth individual interviews were used to collect data from October to December in 2021. Results: Five clusters of themes were identified. They were “Selfless life”, “Life on shaky grounds”, “Attempts to escape from the suffering”, “Moving forward on self-care path”, and “Happiness blooming in being together”. Conclusion: The findings suggest that mental health care professionals should provide educational programs to enable families of patients with mental illness to recognize the necessity for self-care and discover ways to take care of themselves. In addition, it is necessary to develop policies to expand patient management services at mental health welfare centers so that families of patients with mental illness can secure time for self-care.

        혼종모형을 이용한 정신간호사의 공감적 의사소통역량 개념분석

        This study was analyzed using a mixed methods approach to clarify the concept of compassionate communication competencies of psychiatric nurses. In the theoretical phase, the literature published from 2000 to 2022 was collected and 38 articles were analyzed. For the fieldwork phase, in-depth interviews were conducted with eight psychiatric nurses from December 1 to December 28, 2022. In the final analysis phase, the dimensions and attributes of psychiatric nurses' compassionate communication competence were identified and conceptualized. Based on the attributes identified in the theoretical and fieldwork phases, the definition of psychiatric nurses' compassionate communication competence was synthesized into five dimensions and 12 attributes. Therefore, psychiatric nurses' compassionate communication competence refers to the skills and abilities of psychiatric nurses to use active listening and empathic skills for effective communication based on compassion and understanding of the target, to be sensitive to the thoughts and feelings of the target, to accurately convey what the target wants to express, to respect the target, and to empower the target.
