        지방간이 동반된 비만아에서 혈청 지방산과 Carnitine 농도에 대한 연구

        목 적 : 지속적으로 증가하는 소아 비만은 성인 비만으로 이행되기 쉽고 합병증으로 고혈압, 지방간, 동맥경화증이 동반될 수 있다. Carnitine은 장쇄 지방산이 미토콘드리아로 이동할 때 필요한 조효소로 지방산 대사에서 중요한 역할을 한다. 지방간을 가진 비만 소아에서 혈중 지방산과 carnitine 농도를 측정함으로써 L-carnitine을 임상적으로 비만 치료에 적용할 수 있는지를 알아보고자 본 연구를 실시하였다. 방 법 : 7-18세의 지방간으로 진단받은 비만아 9명과 정상 대조군 소아 10명을 대상으로 하였다. 혈장을 sodium borate를 섞어 원심분리 후 하층을 methylene chloride를 이용하여 계층 분리하였고, MSTFA와 acetonitrile을 넣고 유도체화 반응을 시켰다. GC-MS 자동 분석기로 혈청 지방산 fraction을 정량 분석하였고, carnitine(free, acyl, total)은 cycling technique을 이용하여 415 nm에서 정량 분석하였다. 결 과 : 혈중 총 지방산은 지방간이 동반된 비만아 군에서 대조군에 비해 유의하게 증가하였고 특히 장쇄 지방산(myristic acid, palmitoleic acid, palmitic acid, linoleic acid, oleic acid, stearic acid)이 의미 있게 증가되어 있었다. 총 carnitine과 유리 carnitine 농도가 비만아에서 정상아에 비해 유의하게 증가하였으나 acyl carnitine은 유의한 차이가 없었다. 결 론 : 지방간이 동반된 비만아에서 장쇄 지방산이 뚜렷이 증가되었으며, 비만아군에서 정상아에 비해 혈청 carnitine이 증가되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이것을 기초로 하여 비만아에서 L-carnitine 투여 후 지방산 대사의 변화에 대해 추후에 연구할 예정이다. Purpose : The prevalence of obese children has recently increased. Obesity is known to be associated with complications such as hypertension, fatty liver, hyperlipidemia, and insulin resistance. L-carnitine is an essential cofactor for the transport of long chain fatty acids into mitochondria for ${\beta}$-oxidation. The purpose of this study is to measure serum free fatty acid and carnitine levels, and evaluate the role of L-carnitine as a therapeutic drug in obese children with fatty liver. Methods : Nine obese children, ranging from seven to 18 years of age, and 10 normal children were examined. Serum lipid(total cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL-cholesterol, and LDL-cholesterol) and fatty acid levels were analyzed. Serum total, free, and acyl carnitine levels were performed also by a new enzymatic cycling technique. Results : Long chain fatty acids(myristic acid, palmitoleic acid, palmitic acid, linoleic acid, oleic acid, and stearic acid)were significantly increased in obese children compared to the control group. Total, and acyl carnitine levels were significantly increased in obese children compared to the control group. Conclusion : Serum free fatty acid and carnitine levels were significantly increased in obese children with fatty liver compared to the normal control. This may suggest that L-carnitine can be used as antilipidemic agent to decrease fatty acid and lipid levels for obese children. Prospective studies will investigate serum fatty acid and carnitine levels after treatment of L-carnitine in obese children in the future.

        저항 점 용접을 이용한 AISI 316 스테인레스강과 용융아연도금 강판의 이종접합

        The spot weldability of dissimilar metal joints between stainless steels (AISI316) and interstitial free (IF) steels were investigated. This study was aimed to determine the spot welding parameters for a dissimilar metal joint and to evaluate the dissimilar metal joint's weldability, including its welding nugget shape, tensileshear strength, hardness, and microstructure. The fracture surface was investigated by using a Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The experimental results showed that the shape of nugget was asymmetric, in which the fusion zone of the STS316 sheet was larger due to the higher bulk-resistance. The microstructure of the fusion zone was fully martensite. In order to evaluate the microstructure further, dilution of stainless steels were calculated and imposed onto the Schaeffler diagram. The predicted microstructure from the Schaeffler diagram was martensite. In order to confirm the predicted microstructure, XRD measurements were carried out. The results showed that that initial weld nugget was composed of austenite and martensite.

        フィンテックとインシュアテックが金融ビジネス領域に与えた影響と変化

        Purpose: Previous studies of FinTech and InsureTech focused on how the introduction of new technologies and systems would affect the existing financial industry. Nevertheless, there were no studies approached from a comprehensive perspective on the relationship with InsurTech, a concept derived from FinTech, and its impact on the financial and insurance industries in the future. This study aims to contribute to related industries and academic fields by predicting the impact, differences, and future prospects of the concept and introduction of FinTech and insurtech on the financial industry. Research design, data, and methodology: Discuss the concept and status of FinTech and insurance technology through qualitative methods such as existing prior research and academic thesis books, and understand what influence it has on the current financial industry, insurance industry, and consumers. Results: Through the impact of each area of FinTech and InsureTech on the financial business area of this study, FinTech and InsureTech were similar concepts but differences could be identified. FinTech and InsureTech are still positively affecting the financial industry and consumers, but they are expected to become innovators that can lead the financial industry in the future. Implications: This study explained the concept of FinTech and InsureTech, and examined the impact of newly introduced high-tech technologies on the financial industry. Through this, it was possible to see the positive impact of FinTech and insurtech on the business sector and the general public. This author hopes that FinTech and InsureTech will be the driving force for new creation through improvement and innovation in each field.

        고 비시지 접종률 상태에서 초등학생들의 투베르쿨린 조사를 통한 감염률 추정 조사

        연구배경: 결핵 감염률은 결핵 실태를 파악하기 위한 기본 지표임에도 불구하고 1995년 전국실태조사를 마지막으로 실시되지 못하고 2000년 결핵정보감시체계로 대체되었다. 비시지 접종률이 높은 현 상황에서 무반흔자를 대상으로 한 감염률 조사는 실행이 어려우며 비시지 접종자를 대상으로 투베르쿨린 조사에 대한 비시지 영향 분석과 비시지 반흔과 상관없는 결핵 감염률 조사가 필요하다. 방법: 2006년에 전국 초등학교 1학년생들을 대상으로 각 시도별 아동 수를 추계한 후 학교를 대상으로 단면조사 연구를 하였다. 총 대상자 수는 40개 학교의 5,148명이 비례할당법으로 선정, 조사되었다. 투베르쿨린 검사는 2단위의 PPD RT 23 0.1 ml를 좌측 전박에 피내 주사한 후 48∼72시간 후에 가장 긴 횡직경을 측정하였다. 비시지 반흔에 대해서도 각각 조사하였다. 결과: 비시지 무반흔자는 6.3%였다. 평균 경결 크기는 0 mm 반응자 1,882명(46.8%)를 포함하여 3.7±4.4 mm였다. 결핵 감염률은 10 mm 이상을 양성 반응으로 했을 때 10.9% (439명)였다. 연간결핵감염위험률은 평균 연령을 6세로 하여 1.91%였다. 결핵 감염률은 비시지 반흔유무에 따른 유의한 차이는 없었다[11.2% vs. 7.6% (OR:1.54, 95% CI: 0.98∼2.43)]. 16 mm를 정점으로 한 거울 영상법으로는 감염률과 연간결핵감염위험률이 각각 2.4%와 0.4%였다. 결론: 결핵 감염률과 연간결핵감염위험률은 기존 방법으로 할 경우 높은 비시지 접종률로 인해 높게 나타났다. 결핵 감염률이 높지 않은 국가에서는 거울영상법이 두 지표를 추정하는데 보다 더 적합한 것으로 보인다. Background: Although the prevalence of tuberculosis infections (PTBI) is one of the basic epidemiologic indices, no survey has been carried out since 1995 because the nation-wide tuberculosis prevalence survey was changed to a surveillance system. Subjects without a BCG scar are examined in a tuberculin survey. However, it is very difficult to select these subjects under high vaccination coverage. It is important to evaluate the impact of BCG vaccinations on the tuberculin response and estimate the PTBI regardless of the BCG vaccination status. Methods: A nation-wide, school-based cross-sectional tuberculin survey was carried out among first graders in elementary school in 2006. A total of 5,148 children in 40 schools were selected by quota sampling. Tuberculin testing with 0.1 ml of two tuberculin units of PPD RT23 was carried out on 4,018 children. The maximum transverse diameter of induration was measured 48 to 72 hours later. The presence of a BCG scar was checked separately. Results: There were no BCG scars in 6.3% of the subjects. The mean induration size of tuberculin testing was 3.7±4.4 mm, which included 1,882 (46.8%) subjects with an induration size of 0 mm. The PTBI was 10.9% (439 subjects) using a cut-off point of ≥10 mm (conventional method). The annual risk of tuberculosis infections (ARTI) was 1.9% when the mean age of the subjects was assumed to be 6 years. There was no difference in the PTBI according to the presence or absence of a BCG scar [11.2% vs 7.6% (OR: 1.54, 95% CI: 0.98∼2.43)]. Using a mirror image technique with 16 mm as the cut-off point, the PTBI and ARTI had decreased to 2.4% and 0.4% respectively. Conclusion: PTBI and ARTI, as estimated by conventional methods, appear to be high among BCG vaccinated children. A mirror image technique is more suitable for estimating the indices in a country with an intermediate burden of tuberculosis than the conventional method. (Tuberc Respir Dis 2008;65:269-276)

        벼의 생육시기에 따른 일부 광호흡효소의 활성변화

        Catalase, glycolate oxidase, hydroxypyruvate and NADPH-glyoxylate reductases activities in cell free extracts from leaves of 3 cultivars, Suwon 264, IR 36 and Jin Heung of rice plants were studied at different growing stages. Catalase and glycolate oxidase shows inclining activities toward the maximum vegetative growth whereas declining activities in either the enzymes were noticed during the maturing stage. After the photopeiodic condition exhibit increasing hydroxypyruvate and NADPH-glyoxylate reductases activities with time until maturing stage. No significant differences were found in the enzyme activities, and in analytical data of nitrogen, chlorophyⅡ contents, dry weight and soluble proteins among the 3 cultivars.

        GIS-GPS 기술을 이용한 저수지 수심측정 무인보트의 자율항법시스템 개발

        In this paper, an automatic cruise system of unmanned boat was developed for surveying water depth in reservoir using GIS (geographic information system)-GPS (global positioning system) Technologies. the automatic cruise system consisted of an automatic path generation program (APGP) and an automatic boat control program (ABCP). A grid processing method with $3{\times}3$ roving window in GIS function was used to develop the APGP. For development of the ABCP, GPS and its coordinate calculation technique were introduced. The developed system was tested to verify the applicability for a sample reservoir, Misan reservoir located on Ansan city of Kyunggi province. From the test results, this study found the APGP generated cruise path automatically according to input condition on grid size of 5 m, 10 m, and 20 m, as well as, the ABCP also tracked well the cruise paths with high position accuracy. Another verification result on surveying time for 20 ha of water area also showed that the new system could survey water depth of reservoir quickly, including very high quality of spatial resolution.
