Magneto-rheological fluids (or simply “MR” fluids) belong to the class of controllable fluids. The merit of MR fluids is their ability to reversibly change from free-flowing, having a controllable yield strength in milliseconds when exposed to a magnetic field. Furthermore, MR fluids provide simple, quiet, rapid response interfaces between electronic controls and mechanical systems. In the paper, a performance evaluation of 6x6 military vehicle with MR damper is investigated. The sky hook as a algorithm to control the damping force is designed. Through mobility test of 6x6 military vehicle, the performances of passive suspension and the semi-active suspension with MR damper are compared.

The purpose of present research was to get characteristics and basic knowledges of electrorheological(ER) suspension. To observe behaviors of the ER suspensions. transparent conductive plates were used to visualize the flow of ER suspensions between two parallel plate electrodes. The influence of flowing speed and intensity of electric field on the ER fluid were examined in circle-shaped electric field, and it takes several hundred milliseconds that suspensions in flow cluster. The present study also conducts a numerical analysis adopting the Bingham model. It is found that simple Bingham model can not property describe the flow behavior in the parallel plates.
IPTV가입자와 디지털 CATV가입자의 특성비교에 관한 연구

본 연구의 목적은 IPTV (Internet protocol television)가입자와 디지털 CATV (Community antenna television)가입자의 행동을 비교분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 수정된 잔차를 이용해 상대적 우위를 분석했다. 본 연구를 위해 수도권에서 100명의 이용자를 대상으로 갱서베이를 실시하였다. IPTV는 디지털 CATV에 비해 양방향 서비스에 맞는 콘텐츠를 가지고 있으며 요금에 대한 만족도도 높았으나 채널부족에 대한 불만이 높았다. 디지털 CATV는 IPTV에 비해 수동적으로 인지하고 가입하였으며, 요금에서도 IPTV에 비해 적게 내고 있지만 불만이 높았다. 주 이용 콘텐츠도 "스포츠"등으로 단방향 콘텐츠이므로 양방향 콘텐츠 활성화가 요구된다. IPTV는 언제나 원하는 콘텐츠를 볼 수 있는 혁신적인 서비스로 인식하고 있으나, 디지털 CATV는 CATV의 연장서비스로 인식하고 있어 양방향서비스의 특성을 살리지 못하고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 비슷한 서비스이지만 인식에서 현격한 차이를 보이고 있다. The object of study is to compare the characteristics of IPTV (Internet protocol television) subscribers and digital CATV (Community antenna television) subscribers. We used the adjusted residuals. We did gang survey for 100 subscribers in Seoul, Kyeonggi or Incheon regions. Compared to digital CATV, IPTV seems to have appropriate contents for interactive services and high satisfaction level for cost, but high dissatisfaction level for channels. Digital CATV subscribers would know and subscribe passively, compared to IPTV subscribers. IPTV subscribers are more satisfied than digital CATV subscribers even though IPTV is higher cost. Main content of digital CATV is sports, which is not interactive contents. People think IPTV is an innovative service which let subscribers see wanted contents always, but digital CATV is an extension of CATV. So digital CATV cannot use advantages of interactive services. Even though two services are almost same, they are very different in recognition.
HILS를 활용한 전투차량의 반능동 현수장치 적용에 관한 연구

There have been a lot of efforts on the improvement for the ride comfort and handling stability of the combat vehicles. Especially most of vehicles for military purpose have bad inertial condition and severe operating condition such as the rough road driving, and need a high mobility in the emergency status. It is necessary to apply the controlled suspension system in order to improve the vehicle mobile stability and ride comfort ability of crews. A feasibility study is performed on the application of the semi-active suspension system with a magneto-rheological controlled shock absorber for a $6{\times}6$ combat vehicle. First, the dynamic simulation model of the vehicle including the control model for the semi-active suspension system was executed. Based on this model, a hardware-in-the-loop simulation(HILS) system which has a semi-active suspension controller hardware was constructed. After full vehicle simulations were performed in virtual proving courses with this system, the semi-active suspension system was proven to give better ride comfort and handling stability in comparison with the conventional passive suspension system.
