        Nucleic scids transfer the genetic information for serving a central biological purpose. The nucleic acids are polymers of nucleotides and they are mainly ribonucleic acid(RNA) and deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA). The nucleotides are stoichiometrically composed of five-carbon sugars, nitrogeneous bases, and phosphoric acids. The chemistry of nucleic acids and characteristics of different genomes are decribed for further study. Most of DNA genomes tend to be circular including bacterial genomes and eukaryotic mitochondrial DNA. Eukaryotic chromosomes in cells, in contrast, are generally linear. The ends of linear chromosomes are called telomeres. The genomes of different species, such as mammals, plants, invertebrates can be compared with the chromosome ends. The telomeric complex allows cells to distinguish the random DNA breaks and natural chromosomal ends. The very ends of chromosomes cannot be replicated by any ordinary mechanisms. The shortening of telomeric DNA templates in semiconservative replication is occurred with each cell division. The short telomere length is critically related to aging, tumors and dieases.

        연구논문 : 에센셜 오일의 주관적 평가를 위한 어휘 선정에 관한 요인 분석

        This study derived the sensible adjective vocabulary as a criteria for subjective evaluation of essential oil and classify it depending on factors and also figure out the relation with the factors related to subjective evaluation (olfactory, physical and emotional) depending on the volatile speed(note) of essential oil. For the study, we came up with meaning differentiating criteria based on the 7 scores for 26 pairs of words which are related to the subjective evaluation factors after conducting the preliminary and main investigation. We used the measuring instrument to derive the subjective evaluation vocabulary of essential oil, like Eucalyptus with top note, lemon, pepeermint, Bergamot and lavender with middle note, geranium, Juniper, Majoram and sandalwood with base Note, Patchouly, Frankinsense, Clary Sage. The subject of this study is around 100 women`s university students in Gwangju. From this study, we reached the following conclusion. 1. Subjective evaluation vocabulary related to the olfactory, physical and emotional factors was derived, depending on the essential oil. 4 terms related to the olfactory factors were derived from the all essential oil. ``weak - Strong``, were the vocabulary with the greatest factor load value. 7 terms related to the physical factors were derived. ``Not tired - tired`` were found to have the greatest factor load value. 6 terms related to the emotional factors were derived. ``romantic - Not romantic`` which had the greatest factor load value were derived.

      • 입자 모델을 사용한 초등 과학 영재 수업과 일반 수업의 효과 비교

        The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of science teaching using particulate model between the elementary scientifically-gifted classes and general elementary school science classes. Result of research, the prior concept of dissolution research there was no difference about dissolution concept in multiple choice item between the group of gifted student population and general student population. The reason of representation item about chosen answer there was any student understanding scientific concept. And variety of incorrect answer was come out. In addition, these two group has a high ratio mass conservation understanding and explain by simple addition calculation rather than understanding scientific concept. To compare the class effect of using particle model we did post inspection dissolution concept after using particle model class data. In the post inspection, after using particle model in the class we was trying to find out concept of dissolution between the group of gifted student population and general student population concerned with multiple choice item. There was any changed regarding dissolution concept between prior(advance) class and after class. However, the reason for the item to answer questions selected both group has a high rate understanding and explain about dissolution particle by manpower concept.In addition, the scientific understanding of the concept of mass conservation rate was increase, and the group of gifted student population has a higher ratio of scientific understanding rather than general student population regarding dissolution concept and concept of mass conservation. But the students was confused about spread phenomenon to dissolution phenomenon and also didn``t understanding concept of scientific. Therefore, in the light of this research we can teach concept of dissolution effectively, if we teach at elementary scientific gifted student and general student, specially using particle concept model in the gifted student population class and general student population class it will be very effectively for the elementary students who has a low recognition concrete operational stage.

        부추의 항균활성 물질의 분리

        식품의 항균물질 분리에 있어 여러 가지 방법이 있지만 오차와 손실이 많아 실용화 하기에는 많은 문제점이 있다. 현재 일반적인 분리법으로 유기용매분획법, 크로마토그래피 등이 있으나, 많은 시간과 노력을 필요로 하며 시료에 따라 항균활성이 소실되는 경우가 많다. 본 연구는 전편의 '부추의 미생물학적 항균활성 특성과 가공식품에의 응용'에 이어 부추의 항균활성 물질을 효과적으로 분리하기 위한 방법을 정립하고 항균활성 물질을 확인하였다. 부추의 항균활성 물질 분리를 위하여 ultrafiltration, liquid-liquid extraction, TLC, HPLC 순으로 정제하였다. Ultrafiltration 결과 항균물질은 분자량 5,000 dalton 이하의 저분자 물질이었고, TLC로 분리된 8개의 spot중 대조군에 비하여 높은 항균활성을 나타내는 1개의 spot을 추출하여, HPLC로 유효 peak 2개를 얻었고 각 peak성분을 GC/MS로 확인한 결과 cis-propenyl methyl disulfide, 5-methyl methylthiosulphonate, dimethyl disulfide등의 황화합물로 구성된 복합물질로 확인되었다. Various separation techniques of antimicrobial compounds from food materials have proven to be ineffective, involving liquid-liquid extraction and chromatography. We established efficient separation procedure for partially purifying antimicrobial compounds from Korean leek. Separation procedures consisted of ultrafiltration, liquid-liquid extraction, TLC and HPLC. Molecular weight of antimicrobial compounds were less than 5,000 dalton. Major compounds were propenyl methyl disulfide, S-methyl methylthiosulphonate and dimethyl disulfide.

        연구논문 : 수기요법이 피부온도 변화에 미치는 영향

        Manipulative therapy, a massage`s physiological reaction, increases a temperature of skin and is known as the result of the expansion of a blood vessel which causes stimulation of perspiration and increase of the skin`s flow of the blood. This study was performed to verify the influence of skin temperature`s changes in manipulative therapy. Experimental subjects were divided between experimental group 1 given facial massage and experimental group 2 given also facial and back massages. Each group consists of 6 subjects. This thermography change was measured by using Digital Infrared Imaging system IRIS-5000 and physiological index HEM 650, electronics phygmomanometer was used. Collected data were verified for the analysis of repeated measure and T-test by using SPSS 10.0 program. Results of this study were summarized as follows. After the treatment, the facial thermography value of both the groups has increased than before. since 20 minutes, it has a little decreased. The forehead thermography value also demonstrated the effect as the one of experimental group 1 has significantly increased than experimental group 2. Changes of physiological reaction index in two groups were decreased. It is certified that pulse frequencies in the experimental group 2 was significantly decreased than the experimental group 1. From the above experimental results, it is verified that performing facial and back massages are much more effective than doing facial massages in the facial temperature and thermography rising effect. Therefore it can be applied as an efficient skin treatment method to increase effects.

        체험 활동 기반 물 환경교육 프로그램 개발 및 평가

        The objectives of the present study were to develop and evaluate out-of-school water environmental education programs for four different river weirs in Korea. Contents of textbooks for elementary and middle school students related to water environments was analyzed. New out-of-school water environmental education programs were developed for four different river weirs, which was practice-based, from the results. When the out-of-school environmental education programs were applied, they were evaluated by the participant students. The middle school students had better understanding about water resource management technologies than the elementary school students. However, the recognition of the elementary school students to the importance of water management was higher compared to the middle school students. The survey results showed that the developed programs were well constructed and helped improve the understanding of the water environment.
