Nonconvulsive Status Epilepticus(NCSE) refers to continuous epileptic condition with altered mental status and behavioral symptoms, but without convulsive movement at least 10 minutes. In Salzburg criteria, well known as the diagnostic criteria of NCSE, it is diagnosed with clinical symptoms, electroencephalogram (EEG), and effects before and after the use of antiepileptic drugs (AEDs). Commonly being used to treat NCSE, AEDs are likely to have adverse effects. In the present case, a 85-year-old female NCSE patient complaining delirium underwent combined Korean medical treatment by acupuncture and herbal medicine for 13 days. The effect of treatment was assessed with delirium scales including Delirium Rating Scale-Revised-98(DRS-R-98) and Assessment Test for Delirium & Cognitive Impairment(4AT) per 2 days. After the treatment, both DRS-R-98 and 4AT scores decreased, and orientation and mental status of patient improved. This case report suggests that Korean medical treatment might be an effective option without side for those NCSE patients complaining delirium.

초분광 영상은 적외선 영역의 전자기파 대역을 수백 개의 파장으로 나누어 영상화한 데이터로 다양한 분야에서 물체를 찾거나 분류하는 것에 활용된다. 최근에는 딥러닝을 사용하여 분류하는 방법이 주목받고 있지만 초분광 영상 데이터의 특성으로 인해 초분광 영상을 학습 데이터로 사용하기 위해서는 기존의 가시광 영상과는 다른 처리 기법이 필요하다. 이를 위해 초분광 큐브에서 특정 파장의 영상을 선택하여 Ground Truth 작업을 수행하고 환경정보를 포함하여 데이터를 관리하는 소프트웨어를 개발하였다. 본 논문에서는 해당 소프트웨어의 구성과 기능에 대하여 설명한다. The hyper-spectral image is data obtained by dividing the electromagnetic wave band in the infrared region into hundreds of wavelengths. It is used to find or classify objects in various fields. Recently, deep learning classification method has been attracting attention. In order to use hyper-spectral image data as deep learning training data, a processing technique is required compared to conventional visible light image data. To solve this problem, we developed a software that selects specific wavelength images from the hyper-spectral data cube and performs the ground truth task. We also developed software to manage data including environmental information. This paper describes the configuration and function of the software.

Post-stroke aggression refers to aggressive behaviors and languages which are occurred after stroke. In stroke patients, over 15% suffer from the anger and the symptom lowers the quality of life of the patients, family, and caregivers. After diagnosing post-stroke aggression, selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor(SSRI) and beta-blocker, beta adrenergic agonist treatment usually underwent to treat the anger and anxiety of the patient. In the present case, a 81-year-old female patient with post-stroke aggression underwent Korean medical treatment by Jodeungsan and Ukgansan for 49 days. The effect of the treatment was assessed with State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory(STAXI) per a week, roaming time per a week and roaming frequency per a week. After the treatment, STAXI score, roaming time, and roaming frequecy decreased, and the patient could successfully cease to take beta-blocker, which she started to take for treating her aggression, without any side-effects. This case report suggests that Ukgansan might be an effective option with post-stroke aggression patients taking medication including beta-blocker.

Ma Hae Song and To Hoai, Korean and Vietnamese writers, went through similar historical events such as Japanese colonial rule, French colonial rule, wars, independence, and unification. However, these two writers had different thoughts and feelings since they lived in different countries, had different family backgrounds and personnel experiences. They also participated in different literature and social activities. These factors were reflected differently in their works. There are comparative studies on Korean and Vietnamese literatures, but there only few papers comparing writers from these two countries. Literature has a deep connection to writers, readers, and social conditions in which it was created and read. Knowing the writer's life or philosophy can often enhance the reader's understanding of the work. The study of writers is research type that analyzes and discusses the writer's lifetime related to his/her works. In other words, this type of study aims to trace back the writer's works and reveals his/her spirit, value, and literary characteristics. Studying writers from literary and sociological perspectives requires focusing on social backgrounds to analyze how the writer's experiences are embodied in literary works. Among the research types to study writers, the literary and sociological approach is one of the most appropriate way to identify the writer's literary characteristics. Therefore, this study takes literary and sociological perspective to compare two writers, Ma Hae Song and To Hoai, focusing on their different lifetimes and works.
실내 무인 자율 발렛파킹을 위한 Way-point 검출 및 경로 예측 방법

In this paper, we propose a way-point detection method for an autonomous valet parking system in an indoor environment where circular LED way-points are installed on the ceiling. As a pre-processing, camera‘s exposure value is automatically adjusted using incremental searching to remove other objects except way-points. We set binarization threshold using a standard deviation from Gaussian function modeled by background intensity distribution. For predicting the path where a vehicle is going to drive, the detected way-points are classified into "straight path class’ and "turning path class’ according to the its’ location, and the least square based line fitting is applied to each class. The experimental result using dataset captured in the indoor parking lot shows good performance of way-point detection and path estimation.

Objectives: This study aimed to compare the anti-obesity effects of raw and pickled garlic in vitro in 3T3-L1 preadipocytes. Methods: The pickled garlic samples comprised the following: garlic aged in vinegar (VG), garlic aged in soy sauce, and vinegar (1:1, v/v) (PG) and raw garlic (RG) as control. Hexane, butanol, and distilled water were used to prepare the fractions. The pancreatic lipase inhibitory activity was used as a measure of anti-obesity effects of the extracts. The lipid droplet accumulation and triglyceride content in the 3T3-L1 cells were measured using Oil red O staining and triglyceride assay kits, respectively. The adipogenesis related protein expression levels were analyzed using the kits and the western blot method. Results: The pancreatic lipase inhibitory activity of the garlic extracts (VG, PG, RG) was the highest in the butanol fraction, and the inhibitory effect was the highest in RG, followed by PG and VG. All garlic butanol extracts suppressed triglyceride accumulation in differentiated adipocytes (P<0.05) through the activation of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (AMP), AMP-activated protein kinase, carnitine palmitoyl transferase-1, and the inhibition of fatty acid synthase. Raw garlic extracts significantly inhibited the expression of proteins involved in adipogenesis as compared to pickled garlic. Conclusions: Raw garlic has the potential to be an effective natural material for reducing obesity compared to pickled garlic with vinegar or soy sauce.
