        송이발생림과 (松이發生林) 미발생림의 버섯분포에 관한 비교연구

        To compare the fungal distribution of matsutake-producing (Tricholoma matsutake) stand with that of non-producing stand, mushrooms on forest floor were collected in September of 1984 from 28-year-old non-producing and 55-year-old matsutake-producing stands of Pinus densiflora in Kangwon Province. A total of 18 fungal species in 12 genera were collected from a non-producing stand, and all the species except one were putative ectomycorrhizal. Common genera in non-producing stand included Suillus, Russula, Lactarius, Hydnum, and Amanita. From a matsutake-producing stand a total of 30 fungal species in 22 genera were collected, of which 22 species were ectomycorrhizal. Common genera in the producing stand included Hydnum, Tricholoma, Laccaria, and Cantharellus. Common species in both stands were six species only. It is concluded that matsutake-producing stand had more diversified fungal population than non-producing stand, probably because of higher contents of organic matters in soil and better development of understory vegetation through the ageing of the stand.

        Estimation of entropy of the inverse weibull distribution under generalized progressive hybrid censored data

        The inverse Weibull distribution (IWD) can be readily applied to a wide range of situations including applications in medicines, reliability and ecology. It is generally known that the lifetimes of test items may not be recorded exactly. In this paper, therefore, we consider the maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) and Bayes estimation of the entropy of a IWD under generalized progressive hybrid censoring (GPHC) scheme. It is observed that the MLE of the entropy cannot be obtained in closed form, so we have to solve two non-linear equations simultaneously. Further, the Bayes estimators for the entropy of IWD based on squared error loss function (SELF), precautionary loss function (PLF), and linex loss function (LLF) are derived. Since the Bayes estima tors cannot be obtained in closed form, we derive the Bayes estimates by revoking the Tierney and Kadane approximate method. We carried out Monte Carlo simulations to compare the classical and Bayes estimators. In addition, two real data sets based on GPHC scheme have been also analysed for illustrative purposes.

        Estimating the Parameter of a Exponential Distribution under Multiply Type II Censored Competing Risks Data

        In lifetime data analysis, it is generally note that more than 1 risk factor (RF) may be appear at the same moment. Namely, a failure of unit is often arisen by one of the RFs. Moreover, it is known that the lifetimes of items may not be checked exactly. Therefore, we derive the estimators of parameters of exponential distribution (ED) with multiply type II censored competing risks (MCCR) data. We consider the maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) for parameters of ED with MCCR data. We also obtain the Bayes estimators (BEs) for parameter of the ED with MCCR data under the squared error loss function (SELF), DeGroot loss function (DLF) and precautionary loss function (PLF). Lindley’s approximate (LA) method is used to compute these BEs. The BEs of parameters are better than the respective MLE in terms of mean squared errors (MSEs) and biases. The choice of SELF seems to be a reasonable choice for Bayes estimation of parameters. A real data analysis has been provided.

        Bayes estimation of entropy of exponential distribution based on multiply Type II censored competing risks data

        In lifetime data analysis, it is generally known that the lifetimes of test items may not be recorded exactly. There are also situations wherein the withdrawal of items prior to failure is prearranged in order to decrease the time or cost associated with experience. Moreover, it is generally known that more than one cause or risk factor may be present at the same time. Therefore, analysis of censored competing risks data are needed. In this article, we derive the Bayes estimators for the entropy function under the exponential distribution with an unknown scale parameter based on multiply Type II censored competing risks data. The Bayes estimators of entropy function for the exponential distribution with multiply Type II censored competing risks data under the squared error loss function (SELF), precautionary loss function (PLF) and DeGroot loss function (DLF) are provided. Lindley's approximate method is used to compute these estimators.We compare the proposed Bayes estimators in the sense of the mean squared error (MSE) for various multiply Type II censored competing risks data. Finally, a real data set has been analyzed for illustrative purposes.

        Approximate Maximum Product Spacings Estimation for the Parameter of a Rayleigh Distribution under Doubly Hybrid Censoring

        In most of the life testing and reliability experiments, the experimenter is often, unable to observe life time of all items put on test and the data available to the experimenter is censored data. Especially, hybrid censoring scheme is a mixture of types I and II censoring. Maximum product spacings method is most suitable method, especially to those cases where one of the parameter have an unknown shifted origin. In this paper, we consider the maximum product spacings estimator of the scale parameter when the samples are doubly hybrid censored samples. However, maximum likelihood estimator cannot be obtained in a closed form. Therefore, the second is to consider the approximate maximum product spacings estimator of the scale parameter when the samples are doubly hybrid censored samples. The different estimators are compared by performing the Monte Carlo simulation is presented. Also, real data example based on doubly hybrid censoring have been also analysed.

        Structural properties of ferroelectric heterostructures using coherent bragg rod analysis

        We investigated the crystal structure of SrRuO3/BaTiO3/SrRuO3 (SRO/BTO/SRO) heterostructures grown on a SrTiO3 (001) substrate using surface X-ray scattering. The interface structure of SRO/BTO/SRO heterostructures can decrease the critical thickness of ferroelectric BTO films reduced to 3.5 unit cells. Owing to weak intensity of ultrathin films, lab-source-based X-ray measurement cannot determine the atomic arrangement of the heterostructures and their lattice parameters. We introduced synchrotron-based X-ray scattering techniques combined with coherent Bragg rod analysis (COBRA) to resolve the details of the heterostructures. We obtained detailed crystal structural information based on the electron density profiles of the SRO/BTO/SRO heterostructures acquired from COBRA results, e.g., lattice parameters and atomic arrangements.

        일반화된 제1종 복합 중도절단에서 와이블 분포의 추정

        Type I hybrid censoring scheme is the combination of the type I and type II censoring scheme. However, the limitation of the type I hybrid censoring scheme is that it cannot be applied when few failures occur before termination time. So, generalized type I hybrid censoring scheme was introduced. In this paper, the estimation of the parameters and entropy function based on Weibull distribution under the generalized type I censoring scheme has been considered. The Bayes estimators for the parameters of Weibull distribution based on the asymmetric and symmetric loss functions are provided. The Bayes estimators cannot be obtained explicitly, Lindley's approximation is used to obtain the Bayes estimators. Simulation experiments are performed to see the effectiveness of the different estimators. Finally, a real data set has been analysed for illustrative purposes. We observed that Bayes estimates are superior to the respective MLE in terms of MSEs. In particular, respective Bayes estimates under linex and general entropy loss functions for parameters and entropy function are better than the corresponding MLE. 제 1종 복합 중도절단은 제 1종 중도절단과 제 2종 중도절단을 결합한 방법이다. 그러나 제 1종 복합 중도절단은 관측의 대상이 실험이 완료되기 전에 고장 또는 수명이 끝나는 관측대상의 개수가 매우 작을 수 있다는 단점이 있다. 그래서 이러한 단점을 보완한 일반화된 제 1종 복합 중도절단이 제안되어졌다. 본 논문에서는 제 1종 중도절단 하에서 Weibull 분포의 모수와 엔트로피를 추정하고자 한다. Weibull 분포의 모수를 추정하기 위해 베이즈 추정 방법을 사용하였고, 이를 위해 좌우 대칭인 손실함수와 좌우 비대칭은 손실함수 모두를 사용하였다. 그리고 정확한 베이즈 추정치를 구할 수 없어서 Lindley의 방법을 사용하여 근사적인 베이즈 추정치를 구였다. 그리고 추정 방법들을 서로 비교하기 위해서 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 통해 평균제곱오차를 구하여 서로 비교하였고, 마지막으로 실제 예제 데이터를 이용하여 분석해 보았다. 그 결과 베이즈 추정량이 평균제곱오차 측면에서 보았을 때 최대우도추정량 보다 더 우수하다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 특히 linex와 general entropy 손실함수 하에서 베이즈 추정량이 최대우도추정량에 비해서 더 우수한 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

        Product spacing estimation of half logistic distribution under progressive hybrid censoring

        In most of the life testing and reliability experiments, the experimenter is often, unable to observe life time of all items put on test and the data avilable to the experimenter is censored data. Among these censoring schemes, progressive censoring (PrC) is gaining rapid popularity. However, the drawback of the PrC is that it might take a very long time in order to complete the life test. In this reason, the progressive hybrid censoring scheme (PrHcs) was proposed. In this paper, we derive the maximum product spacings estimators (MaxPE) for the unknown parameter and reliability function (ReFtn) of half logistic distribution (HalfLD) under the PrHcs. And we derive the approximate maximum product spacings estimators (AppMaxPE) for the unknown parameter and ReFtn of HalfLD using Talyor series expansion. We also compare the estimators of unknown parameter and ReFtn in the terms of the mean squared error (MeanSqE) and bias for various PrHcs. In addition, real data example based on the PrHcs have been also analysed for illustrative purposes.
