        As healthcare environment being more complex and turbulent, strategic approach of hospitals became more important. This study was to investigate strategic orientation of Korean hospitals and their related characteristics. We surveyed managers of 360 hospitals randomly selected from all hospitals in Korea. For typology of strategic orientation, we used that developed by Miles and Snow, and results are as follows. Firstly, major types of organizational strategic orientation of Korean hospitals were analyzer(42.0%) and prospector(34.0%). Secondly, characteristics affecting to hospitals' strategic orientation significantly were hospital ownership and sex of managers. Medical corporation had a high tendency of prospector strategic orientation by 2.7 times compared to personal ownership. Female managers had a low tendency of prospector strategic orientation by 0.2, which was statistically significant. Though 60+ age group (compared to twenties and thirties) and middle managers (compared to CEO) had a tendency of being more prospector strategic orientation, but insignificant. The study result that majority of strategic orientation were prospector and analyzer reflects Korean hospital environment are complex and unstable. Hospital managers need to more focus on environment and boundary spanning function for maintenance and survival of their organizations.

        귀리잎의 기저부 (基底部) 절간 (節間) 분열조직에서 분리한 원형질체의 암호흡 (暗呼吸) 활성에 미치는 ABA 와 Ca2+ 의 억제효과

        The present study was made of the effects of abscisc acid(ABA) and calcium ions on dark respiration in protoplasts isolated from the basal intercalary meristematic tissues of oat(Avena sativa L.) seedlings. The influences of calcium channel blockers diltiazem(DTZ), verapamil(VPM), and LaCl_2 and the calmodulin antagonist trifluoperazine(TFP) on protoplast respiration activities were also investigated in order to evaluated the possible involvement of calcium channels and calmodulin during the dark respiration. The ABA only caused an 21% inhibition of protoplast respiration at 10^-6 M, but the extent of inhibition was very low by calcium treatments in the absence of ABA. In the presence of 10^-6 M ABA, however, this inhibition of respiration increased by the increment of calcium ions concentrations. Treatments of DTZ and VPM were all found to restore the calcium-dependent inhibition of protoplast respiration by ABA and it was the same in the LaCl_2 treatment except at 10^-4 M. At concentration from 10^-6 M to 10^-4 M, TFP also restored an inhibition of respiration. These results support the possibility that ABA increases plasmalemma permeability to calcium ions which might then bind to calmodulin to regulate oat protoplast dark respiration.

        이차함수 모델을 이용한 카지노의 영법효율성에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the operational efficiency of penny slots on the Strip and attempts to identify the optimal win percentage or hold for these slots. Game win refers to the amount retained by the casinooperator from the total amount wagered. For a slot game, hold-also referred to as win percentage-is the ratio of what is actually won by the casino (game win) to coin-in, which is the total amount wagered by the player. Coin-in is a commonly used performance measure representing the total dollar amount of wagers accumulated byeach machine. In this study, optimal win percentage refers to the rate at which the slot win is maximized. Based on the relationship between game win and its two determinants, coin-in and hold, this study developed a quadratic model for optimizing penny slot win revenue for Las Vegas Strip casinos. The model was empirically tested with aggregate monthly data of penny slots-the most popular type of slots on the Strip. Using the quadratic function, this study found the optimal hold to be at 16.41%. Comparisons were made between the calculated optimal hold and the actual average holds. The findings of these comparisons indicate that the average holds of penny slots on the Strip were substantially lower than the optimal level. The resulting model and its coefficients suggest Strip casinos increase penny slots hold to maximize slot revenue. The study showed that adjusting the actual hold to the calculatedoptimal hold should improve the operational efficiency of slot games and optimize the game win from the casino`sexisting customers.

        A Link between Corporate Social Responsibility and Risk

        본 연구는 CSR과 레스토랑 기업의 위험의 관계에 대해 고찰해 보고자 했다. 특히, 본 연구는 기업의 위험을 총 위험 뿐 만 아니라 이를 체계적 위험과 비체계적 위험으로 나누어 영향관계를 살펴보았다. 미국 레스토랑을 대상으로 패널데이터를 수집해 One-way 고정효과모형으로 도출한 본 연구의 결과에 따르면, 기업의 사회적 책임 활동은 레스토랑 기업의 비체계적인 위험에 있어서 부(-)의 영향을 주는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이로 인해 본 연구는 기존의 CSR 관련 연구에 있어 기업의 위험과 관련된 이론적인 다양성을 제공해 줄 뿐만 아니라, 실무적으로도 레스토랑 기업의 위험관리에 있어 CSR의 역할에 대한 시사점을 제공한다. 또한, 미국 레스토랑을 대상으로 한 해당 연구는 국내 레스토랑을 대상으로 연구해 볼만한 향후 연구 과제를 시사해 준다. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has become an essential business strategy, adopted worldwide. Most leading restaurant companies have also followed this corporate trend by actively participating in socially responsible activities. However, although considerable research has examined impacts of CSR in the restaurant context, little has been explored regarding a link between CSR and a firm’s various risks. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to investigate the relationship between a firm’s investment in CSR and three important risk measures: total, systematic, and unsystematic risk in the U.S. restaurant context. Results indicate a significantly negative effect of CSR only on the unsystematic risk, but not other two risks, of the restaurant firms. Based on these findings, this study provides practical as well as theoretical implications.

        프리미엄 상영관 관람 현황 및 소비자 시장세분화 분석

        본 연구에서는 대형 영화관체인의 프리미엄 상영관을 대상으로 소비자들의 방문 현황 및 만족도에 대해 분석하고, 재방문의도를 중심으로 시장세분화를 시도하였다. 시장세분화는 데이터마이닝 기법 중 의사결정나무모형을 이용하였으며, 목표변수는 관람 경험이 있는 응답자들의 향후 재방문의도, 설명변수는 인구통계변수, 개인적 성향, 영화관 방문행태변수들을 사용하였다. 온라인설문에 접속한 수도권에 거주하는 20대-50대 성인 남녀 2,438명 중 2018년 1월부터 2019년 12월까지 2년 간 프리미엄관 경험이 있는 500명을 대상으로 방문행태 및 만족도를 조사하였다. 결과를 보면, 20.5%정도의 비율이 프리미엄관 관람 경험이 있으며, 평균 관람 횟수는 약 2.3회로 나타났다. 일반관과 비교하여 가족보다는 연인의 비중이 상대적으로 더 높으며, 혼자 오는 관람객의 비중이 상대적으로 더 적은 반면 동료의 비중이 높게 나타났다. 프리미엄관 방문의 주된 이유는 ‘특별한 데이트’를 원하는 20대를 제외하고는 나머지 연령대에서 ‘편안한 좌석에서 영화를 보기 위해’로 나타났다. 프리미엄관의 물리적 환경과 상영관별로 제공되는 프리미엄 서비스에 대한 만족도 결과는 대체적으로 높게 나타났다. 프리미엄관 방문 경험이 있는 소비자들을 재방문의도에 따라 세분화할 수 있는 가장 효과적인 변수는 과시소비성향과 관여도로 나타났다. 인구통계변수와 영화관 방문행태변수를 이용하여 시장세분화를 위한 추가적인 분석을 실시하여, 재방문의도가 상대적으로 높아 지속적인 관리가 필요한 그룹; 프리미엄관 표적세분시장으로서 적합하지 않은 그룹; 향후 좀 더 재방문의도를 높이기 위한 서비스 전략이 필요한 그룹으로 구분하였다. 본 연구는 국내에서 처음으로 프리미엄관 관람행태, 만족도, 재방문의도를 분석하고, 소비자 세분시장 분류를 시도하였다는 데 학문적 의의를 가진다. 또한 프리미엄관 소비자 저변 확대 및 수요 촉진을 위한 전략 마련을 위한 기초자료를 제시한다는 점에서 실무적 의의를 가진다. This study analyzes the current status of consumer visit to premiumtheaters of Korean majormultiplexes chains and consumer satisfaction fromexperiencing it and attemptsmarket segmentation of consumer group based on their intention to revisit.We used the decision tree model among dataminingmethodologies. The target variable is intention to revisit by respondents who have experienced premium theaters and the explanatory variables are their demographics, personal disposition, andmovie theater visit behaviors. Of the 2,438 people in their 20s and 50s in themetropolitan areawho accessed our online survey, 500were answered to have experience of premium theaters within 2 years from January 2018 to December 2019. Our results show that about 20.5% of people have experience of premiumtheater and the average number of visit was 2.3 during the two years. Compared to the conventional theater, share of couple visitors is higher than that of family-unit visitors, proportion of lone visitors is relatively lower and proportion of group visitors is relatively higher. Themain reason for visiting premiumscreen is ‘to watch a movie in a comfortable seat’ for the rest of age groups except for those in their 20s who wanted ‘special dates.’ The satisfaction of physical environment of premium theaters and of premium service provided by each theater was relatively high across-the-board. The most effective variables that can classify consumers according to their intention to revisit were conspicuous consumption tendency and personal involvement toward movie. We proceeded additional analysis for market segmentation in relation to the two variables using demographics and consumption behaviors in movie-theater to find the followings: a group that requires continuous management to maintain their royalty to premium theater; a group not suitable as a target for premium theater visitors; a group that needs to stimulate additional intention to revisit. This study adds an additional layer of contribution to the literature. To the best of authors’ knowledge, this study is the first to analyse consumers’ visit behavior, satisfaction, and intention to revisit toward premium theater. In addition, this study has practical contribution in that it presents basic information for strategies for consumer promotion andmarket segmentation.

        육상풍력발전 사업 추진의 제도적 한계와 개선방안: 삼척 육백산 풍력발전 사례를 중심으로

        육상풍력발전 사업은 기후위기 대응을 위한 재생에너지 이용 확대와 산림 보호라는 녹색과 녹색 가치가 충돌하면서 입지 애로와 주민 수용성 문제를 겪고 있다. 이 연구에서는 주민 수용성이 확보되었음에도 입지 애로 문제로 인해 사업 추진이 지연되고 있는 육백산 풍력발전 사업을 중심으로 문헌연구와 심층면접을 통해 육상풍력발전 사업의 입지 관련 제도적 한계를 분석하고, 개선방안을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구 결과, 사업 추진 과정에서 다음의 세 가지 쟁점을 확인하였다. 우선, 생태자연도 등급 적용 시점이 명시되어 있지 않아 개발행위허가 과정에서 생태자연도 등급이 상향되는 경우 소급 적용되는 문제가 발생하고 있다. 다음으로 「육상풍력 개발사업 환경성평가 지침」의 모호성에 기인한 해석 차이로 인해 혼란이 야기되고 있으며, 마지막으로 개발행위허가 평가 가이드라인의 부재로 부처 간 행정절차 혼선이 빚어지고 있다. 이 연구에서는 세 가지 쟁점들을 토대로 다음과 같은 개선방안을 제시한다. 첫째, 생태자연도 등급 적용 시점에 대한 법적기준을 마련하여 법제도의 예측가능성을 제고한다. 둘째, 환경협의 과정에서 적용되는 평가지침과 기준을 명확하게 제시하여 허가 당국과 사업자 간 해석 차이로 인한 환경협의 불확실성을 최소화한다. 셋째, 범정부 차원의 풍력발전 사업 추진 절차 가이드라인을 수립하여 관계부처 간 소통과 의견 조율을 위한 기반을 조성한다. 나아가 복잡한 인허가 절차와 다수 관계부처를 거쳐야 하는 행정 부담을 완화시키기 위하여 관련 법제들의 적실성과 상보성을 검토하고, 이를 뒷받침하는 내용을 담아 ‘풍력발전 보급촉진 특별법(일명 ‘원스톱샵(One-Stop-Shop) 법’)’이 제정되어야 한다. The onshore wind power project is suffering location difficulties, and local residents’ acceptance as green and green value conflicts happen in expanding the use of renewable energy to respond to the climate crisis, accompanied by and forest degradation. This study analyzes the institutional limitations in carrying out onshore wind power projects and suggests improvement measures through a case study of the Mount Yukbaek wind power project, which has been retarded because of location regulations even though community acceptance was secured. As a result, three issues have occurred in the process of the wind power projects. To begin with, the raised grade of the Ecosystem and Nature Map (ENM) has been retroactively applied in the Development Permit System (DPS) process as the timing of the application of the changed ENM grade has not been stipulated. In addition, confusion has been caused by differences in interpretation resulting from the ambiguity of ‘Guidelines on Environmental Assessments for Onshore Wind Power Projects.’ On top of that, the absence of Assessment Guidelines on the DPS has confused inter-ministerial administrative procedures. Based on these issues, this study suggests improvement measures as follows. First, the legal system’s predictability needs to be improved by preparing a legal standard for the timing of application of the ENM grade. Second, uncertainty in environmental consultation due to differences in interpretation between the permitting authority and the business operator should be minimized by clearly presenting the evaluation guidelines and standards applied in the process of environmental consultation. Third, guidelines for the government-wide wind power generation project promotion procedure must be established to create a basis for communication and coordination among related ministries. Furthermore, in order to alleviate the administrative burden of going through complicated licensing procedures and multiple related ministries, the adequacy and complementarity of related laws are reviewed, and the ‘Special Act on the Promotion of Wind Power Generation and Distribution (so-called ‘One-Stop-Shop Act’)’ must be enacted.

        뉴시니어 소비자의 로하스(LOHAS) 성향이 친환경 식자재 태도 및 구매에 미치는 영향 연구

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the LOHAS tendency of new seniors' and its effects on the attitude and purchase intention for environmental-friendly food materials. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey from random sample of 162 senior customers in Seoul and Kyunggi area. The LOHAS tendency of new seniors can be divided into three factors; environmental-friendly, sustainability and sociality. Environmental problems affected the environmental-friendly factor the most while manufacturing techniques for sustainable products and recycling habits were key variables for the sustainability factor. The idea of companies sharing their value system of LOHAS tendency was the most significant for the sociality factor. Each of these LOHAS tendency factors influenced the purchase intention of the new seniors.

        연구논문 : 중,저가 서비스스케이프와 서비스커뮤니케이션이 고객만족과 재방문의도에 미치는 영향

        This study is conducted to identify a causal relationship that servicescape and servicecommunication of Korea’s food industry, specifically buffet restaurants have on customer satisfaction and customer return visit intentions. Through these, the hypothesis and research model are set to evaluate the research model by analyzing structural equation model against buffet restaurant visitors in Seoul regions, and tested hypothesis and proposed a practical marketing implication as follow. First, amongst the servicescape variables, coordination environment, cleanliness and convenience affect positively(+) on customer satisfaction while lacking in aesthetics and comfort. In particular, when compared with standardized path coefficient, convenience was the highest. Second, verbal & non-verbal communication of servicecommunication show the positive influence (+) beneficial to customer satisfaction. Third, the the customer satisfaction through service quality showes signigicant influence to the customer revisit intention. Therefore, buffet restaurants need proper servicescapes providing, in particular, comfortable dinging environments, convenience of customer moving path and parking, tableware management and toilet cleanliness; and induce customer revisits through the positive customer satisfaction with continuous service communication training on service workers to generate a bigger profit.
