        Relative Sunspot Number Observed from 2002 to 2011 at ButterStar Observatory

        The ButterStar Observatory at the Dongducheon High School has been working for photographic observations of the Sun since October 16, 2002. In this study, we observed the Sun at the ButterStar observatory for 3,364 days from October 16, 2002 to December 31, 2011, and analyzed the photographic sunspot data obtained in 1,965 days. The correction factor Kb for the entire observing period is 0.9519, which is calculated using the linear least square method to the relationship between the daily sunspot number, RB, and the daily international relative sunspot number, Ri. The yearly correction factor calculated for each year varies slightly from year to year and shows a trend to change along the solar cycle. The correction factor is larger during the solar maxima and smaller during the solar minima in general. This implies that the discrepancy between a relative sunspot number, R, and the daily international relative sunspot number, Ri, can be reduced by using a yearly correction factor. From 2002 to 2008 in solar cycle 23, 35.4% and 64.6% of sunspot groups and 35.1% and 64.9% of isolated sunspots in average occurred in the northern hemisphere and in the southern hemisphere, respectively, and from 2008 to 2011 in solar cycle 24, 61.3% and 38.7% of sunspot groups and 65.0% and 35.0% of isolated sunspots were observed, respectively. This result shows that the occurrence frequency for each type of sunspot group changes along the solar cycle development, which can be interpreted as the emerging and decaying process of sunspot groups is different depending on the phase of solar cycle. Therefore, it is considered that a following study would contribute to the efforts to understand the dependence of the dynamo mechanism on the phase of solar cycle.

        Metachronous Liver Metastasis Resulting from Early Gastric Carcinoma after Subtotal Gastrectomy Following Endoscopic Resection: A Case Report

        Hepatic metastasis of early gastric cancer (EGC) following subtotal gastrectomy with lymphadenectomy is rare. We report the case of a 61-year-old male patient who was diagnosed with EGC that was initially treated using endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and subsequently underwent laparoscopic subtotal gastrectomy. Histopathological examination of the patient’s ESD specimen showed a moderately differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma invading the submucosa without lymphatic invasion. The deep margin of the specimen was positive for adenocarcinoma, and he subsequently underwent laparoscopic distal gastrectomy. The patient developed liver metastasis 15 months after the operation and then underwent liver resection. Histology of the resected specimen confirmed the diagnosis of two foci of metastatic adenocarcinoma originating from stomach cancer. Immunohistochemical analysis of the specimen demonstrated overexpression of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2. The patient was treated with trastuzumab in combination with chemotherapy consisting of capecitabine and cisplatin. Twenty-four months after the operation, the patient remained free of recurrence.

        Coronary arterioventricular fistula is a rare form of congenital malformation of coronary artery. A 29-year-old man presented with a 4-year history of shortness of breath and recently developed chest discomfort during exertion. A huge, dilated coronary arterioventricular fistula from right coronary artery to left ventricle was diagnosed with transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography and coronary angiography. This finding was confirmed by selective administration of the microbubble into the right coronary artery during transthoracic echocardiography monitoring. The opening of the fistula at the level of left ventricle was obliterated with autologous pericardium and the patient recovered and discharged uneventfully. 저자 등은 우관동맥이 좌심실로 유입되는 관동맥루를 가진 환자에서 경식도 초음파, 심근조영 초음파 및 관동맥 조영술을 이용하여 확진한 1예를 경험하였고 이를 수술적 치료에 의해 교정하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

        스마트 폰 잠금 화면을 통한 실시간 정보제공 서비스 모델의 개발

        This research is based on real-time service model that uses lock screen of smart devices which is mostly exposed to device users. The potential for lock screen space is immense due to their exposing time for user. The effect can be maximized by offering useful information contents on lock screen. This service model offers real-time keyword with abridged sentence. They match real-time keyword with news by using text matching algorithm and extracts kernel sentence from news to provide short sentence to user. News from the lock screen to match real-time query sentence, and then only to the original core of the ability to move a user evaluation was conducted after adding. The report provided a key statement users feel the lack of original Not if you go to an average of 5.71%. Most algorithms allow only real-time zoom key sentence extracted keywords can accurately determine the reason for that was confirmed.

        Variable Structure PWM Controller for Highly Efficient PV Inverters

        In general, the output voltage level of a PV array varies widely at various irradiances and temperatures. The MPP (Maximum Power Point) range of a medium- or high-power PV PCS is normally 450~830Vdc or 300~600Vdc. This means the PV PCS should operate in a wide range of modulation indexes. The PV PCS should satisfy the harmonic current requirement that the TDD (Total demand distortion) shall not exceed 5%. This paper proposes a new PWM control method for a medium- or high-power PV PCS which increases the efficiency of power conversion in all operation ranges with acceptable harmonic ripple currents. This paper compares and analyzes appropriate PWM schemes for the PV PCS in the view points of conversion efficiency and current harmonics.

        남한강 유역의 소나무, 리기다 소나무, 상수리나무, 굴참나무 및 신갈나무 군락을 대상으로 상대생장법에 의하여 현존량을 추정하였으며, 각 군락에 있어서 D^2H와 줄기(Ws), 가지(Wb) 및 잎(Wl)의 상대생장식은 다음과 같다. 소나무 군락 : log Ws=0.58482 D^2H ― 0.42417 log Wb=0.6234 D^2H ― 1.2321 log Wl=0.2247 D^2H ― 0.09359 리기다 소나무 군락 : log Ws=0.9218 D^2H ― 1.4692 log Wb=1.0064 D^2H ― 2.2278 log Wl=0.6275 D^2H ― 1.1715 상수리나무 군락 : log Ws=0.96659 D^2H ― 1.56975 log Wb=0.86315 D^2H ― 2.17944 log Wl=0.79876 D^2H ― 1.97137 굴참나무 군락 : log Ws=0.4753 D^2H + 0.20026 log Wb=0.5725 D^2H ― 0.92006 log Wl=0.61649 D^2H ― 1.4288 신갈나무 군락 : log Ws=0.5526 D^2H ― 0.1288 log Wb=0.5188 D^2H ― 0.9787 log Wl=0.7754 D^2H ― 2.6273 상대생장식으로 추정한 현존량은 리기다소나무무림 약 61만 ton, 소나무림 약 120만 ton, 상수리나무림 약 289ton, 굴참나무림 약 2800ton 그리고 신갈나무림 약 57만 ton으로서 소나무 군락이 전 지역의 약 43.9%를 점유하고 있다. 녹지자연도 등급별 현존량은 수령 20년 이상인 8등급에 속하는 삼림 군락의 현존량 약 7만 4천 ton, 7등급에 속하는 삼림 약 200만 ton으로서 7등급 군락이 전체의 75%를 차지하였으며, 식재림인 리기다소나무림은 약 61만 ton으로 측정되었다. 따라서 남한강 유역의 대표적인 자연림은 7등급에 속하는 소나무림과 신갈나무 군락이었다. The phytomass of the evergreen needle pines(Pinus densiflora and Pinus rigida) and of the deciduous broad-leaved oaks(Quercus acutissima, Quercus variabilis and Quercus mongolica) in watershed forests of South Han River, central part of Korea was estimated by the allometry. The allometic relations between D^2H and dry weight of stem(Ws), branches(Wb) and leaves(Wl) of these forests were as follows: Pinus densiflora community : log Ws=0.58482 D^2H ― 0.42417 log Wb=0.6234 D^2H ― 1.2321 log Wl=0.2247 D^2H ― 0.09359 Pinus rigida community : log Ws=0.9218 D^2H ― 1.4692 log Wb=1.0064 D^2H ― 2.2278 log Wl=0.6275 D^2H ― 1.1715 Quercus acutissima community : log Ws=0.96659 D^2H ― 1.56975 log Wb=0.86315 D^2H ― 2.17944 log Wl=0.79876 D^2H ― 1.97137 Quercus variabilis community : log Ws=0.4753 D^2H + 0.20026 log Wb=0.5725 D^2H ― 0.92006 log Wl=0.61649 D^2H ― 1.4288 Quercus momgolica community : log Ws=0.5526 D^2H ― 0.1288 log Wb=0.5188 D^2H ― 0.9787 log Wl=0.7754 D^2H ― 2.6273 From the above formulae, the phytomass of Pinus densiflora was estimated to be much as 1,200,000 ton, Pinus rigida 610,000 ton, Quercus acutissima 289 ton, Quercus variabilis 2,800 ton and Quercus mongolica 570,000 ton in the surveyed area, respectively. Accordingly, the phytomass of Pinus densiflora forest was occupied about 43.9% in toto and was higher than those of other forests. The phytomass of watershed forests belonging to Degree 8 and Degree 7 divided by degree of green naturality(DGN) was 74,000 ton and 2,000,000 ton, respectively. Accordingly, the watershed forests in South Han River were mainly composed of Pinus densiflora and Quercus mongolica forests belonging to Degree 7.
