The detection and analysis of chatter behaviour in endmilling is very complex and difficult, so it is necessary to detect and diagnose this chatter phenomenon clearly. This paper presents a new method for detecting the abnormal chatter in endmilling operation, based on the wavelet transform. Using AR spectrum the data that has chatter phenomenon was verified and the fundamental property of chatter and its characteristics in endmilling by using the wavelet transform is reviewed. This result obtained by wavelet transform proves the possibility and reliability of detecting the chatter in endmilling operation.

This paper presents an observer–based robust controller for constant reference tracking of linear time invariant systems with polytopic model uncertainties. To this end, this paper not only designs a robust integral controller gain but also suggests how to determine the robust observer gain and the observer model used in the observer. Since the observer model selection is not obvious due to the polytopic uncertainties, particular attention needs to be paid to that. This paper computes the robust controller and observer gains first. Then, the observer model is selected in a way that the whole closedloop is stable and LMIs are used in the middle of choosing the gains and observer model. Simulation examples show that the proposed observer-based feedback control successfully achieves robust reference tracking.

It will be variant according to machine wear, tool form, cutting method and cutting condition at the same machine. At that time, the most important things are controlled and measured by appropriate measuring instruments. This paper aims to contribute to improving measurement accuracy through evaluation and consideration about various roundness in the machining company.

The chatter behaviour in endmilling is a complex and nonlinear phenomenon, so it is very difficult to detect and diagnose this chatter phenomenon, This paper presents new method for the detection of chatter in endmilling operation based on the wavelet transform. In this paper, the fundamental property of the wavelet transform is reviewed by comparing the spectrum of other algorithm such as FFT. This result using wavelet transform shows the possibiling of the chatter detection in endmilling operation.
