Objective & Methods : The purpose of this study is to observe the effects of Angelicae Pubescentis Radix herbal-acupuncture solution(APR-HAS) at Joksamni(ST36) on collagen IT induced arthritis in DBA/1J mice. The author performed several experimental items to analyze several cytokines and immune cells related with RA. Results : 1. In the APR-HA group, the incidence of arthritis and arthritis index were significantly decreased. 2. In APR-HA group, the levels of IL-6, $INF-{\gamma}$, $TNF-{\alpha}$, IgG, IgM, $IL-{\beta}$ and Anti-collagen II in serum of the CIA mouse were significantly decreased. 3. In APR-HA group, the level of $IFN-{\gamma}$, IL-4 in the CIA mouse spleen cell culture were significantly decreased. 4. In histology, the cartilage destruction and synovial cell proliferation were decreased in the APR-HA group, and the collagen fiber expressions in the APR-HA group were similar with that of the Normal group. 5. In the APR-HA group, CD3e+/CD19+ and CD4+/CD8+ were similarly maintained as Normal group in the CIA mouse lymph nodes, 6. In the APR-HA group, CD3e+/CD69+ was significantly decreased in the CIA mouse joint. 7. In the APR-HA group, CD11a+/CD19+ and CD11b+/Gr-l+ were significantly decreased in the CIA mouse lymph nodes 8. In the APR-HA group, CD4+/CD25+ was decreased in the CIA mouse spleen cell. 9. In the APR-HA group, CD4+/CD25+ was similarly maintained as Normal group in the CIA mouse lymph nodes.

The purpose of this paper is to develop and establish energy management system for large scale factories. Large scale and complexness of the facility often disturb operators and consultants from effective energy audit and implementation of energy conservation measures. The researchers applied layering method to simplify and also bring convenient access to the energy flow map of the whole facility. Customized energy efficiency index and operation support tool are also studied to be integrated in the developed energy management system. It was found that the energy management system for certain large scale factory is able to support operators in their everyday operation with the specified operation set point and expected energy consumption reduction which are collected, calculated and analyzed by the system with the existing data related to operation and energy consumption of the facility.

The purpose of this study is to develop retro-commissioning process and related documents to quantify the energy performance of the industrial facility and to contribute to enhancement of the energy efficiency and CO2 emission reduction of the facility. Developed process and methodology were adapted to sample project, which consumes about 1, 632, 623Gcal a year, resulting in more than 6 percent of CO2 emission reduction every year. The researchers expect similar commissioning activities to be performed utilizing these process and methodology to optimize the energy performance and reduce CO2 emission of the industrial facilities.

The purpose of this study is to present major performance of advanced facade systems including Double-skin facade, air flow window and air barrier system so that architects and engineers can use as a preliminary standard when adapting these systems to medium or large-sized office buildings. These systems are known as a well performing building element because of natural ventilation. energy savings and aesthetic appearance. But. the high construction cost and few application case in our country makes careful engineering more important. As a result, this study presents major performance matrix and characteristics of each system.

Building construction tends to be more complicated and sophisticated causing many defects and reworks. Building Commissioning is one of the prominent solution to this complexity and specialization. It is majorly quality assurance process which involves every stakeholders, from architects to operators, invigorate communication among them. As designing and constructing the first net-carbon zero facility in local climate, researchers introduced initial commissioning as a quality assurance process for the project. Development of checklist, test procedures and communication tools are involved in this efforts. As a result, owner, operators and main contractor found the project could be confirmed by every phase of its delivery by the process and well performing as intended.
퇴행성 요추 척추관 협착증의 한의표준임상진료지침 핵심질문 설정에 대한 환자 인식 설문 조사: 단면 설문 연구

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to explore patients’ perceptions that deserve attention when designing core questions for a clinical practice guideline of Korean medicine(KM) for degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS). Methods : Patients who had been admitted to Pusan National Korean Medicine Hospital from November 1, 2015 to October 31, 2016 were invited to the survey. Patients were eligible if they were both clinically and radiologically confirmed as degenerative LSS. The structured questionnaire was distributed by mail and outpatient visits. Questions included types of experienced Korean/Western medical interventions for LSS, their perceived effectiveness on symptoms, the necessity for studies of KM for degenerative LSS, the types of KM interventions to be investigated and the types of outcome measures after treatments. Data were descriptively analysed. Results : Twenty of thirty-one invited participants responded to the questionnaire. Acupuncture and herbal medicine were the most frequently used KM interventions. Eighteen respondents reported that KM treatments were helpful for their improvement. Sixteen patients who mentioned that research on KM is needed chose acupuncture as the top priority(88%) among KM interventions. The most important outcomes in the view of nineteen respondents included functional recovery (68%) and pain relief (53%). Thirteen respondents (65%) replied that both short-term and long-term outcome were important for them. Conclusions : Our findings may have limited validity due to the small number of respondents and the potential selection and information bias. Further qualitative studies and large-scale surveys to comprehensively identify patients’ views are warranted.
복부 혈위 뜸 자극 위치의 차이가 체표 온도 변화에 미치는 영향

Objectives : This study aimed to investigate the difference of abdominal skin temperature responses following moxibustion comparing stimulation method. Methods : Moxibustion was applied on the acupuncture points of $CV_4$, $CV_6$, $CV_{12}$. Thirty healthy men were randomly divided into two groups, one receiving a single moxibustion stimulation in three locations '$CV_4{\cdot}CV_6{\cdot}CV_{12}$'(n=15) and the other receiving triple moxibustion stimulations in one location '$CV_{12}$'(n=15) for 30 min. To obtain the skin temperature on abdominal region, a thermograph was used. Three arbitrary frames(the upper abdominal, lower abdominal, whole abdominal regions) were made to analyse skin temperature. Thermographic images were obtained at before and after the procedure of indirect moxibustion and 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 min afterwards. Results : An increase in skin temperature on the three abdominal regions was observed following both one point and three points moxibustion administrations. Significant increase in skin temperature of the whole abdominal region was observed at 30 min after the procedure of three points moxibustion compared with one point moxibustion stimulation. A tendency of skin temperature changes over time was observed. Conclusions : In this study, skin temperature of lower abdominal region does not increase after triple moxibustion stimulations on $CV_{12}$. Administration of single moxibustion on $CV_4$, $CV_6$, $CV_{12}$ makes greater changes in skin temperature on the whole abdominal region than triple moxibustion on $CV_{12}$.
