소도구를 활용한 연부조직가동술이 주관절 외측상과염 환자에게 통증과 악력, 기능, 고유수용성감각에 미치는 영향

Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate into the effect of soft tissue mobilization using prop on the pain, grip strength and functional activity in patients with lateral epicondylitis. Methods: Fifteen patients with lateral epicondylitis were recruited. Before treatment, they were evaluated using visual analogue scale (VAS), grip strength, test, patient-rated tennis elbow evaluation (PRTEE), proprioception, and were reevaluated after six weeks of treatment. Results: As a result of comparing all participants before and after the experiment, the grip strength increased significantly (p<.05). And the VAS, PRTEE, and proprioception decreased significantly (p<.05). Conclusion: According to the results above, soft tissue mobilization using prop can help improve pain, grip strength, PRTEE and proprioception. Also, soft tissue mobilization using Blackroll's Twister technique was able to select interventions depending on the patient's condition and the desired goal.
만성 경부통을 가진 시내버스 운전기사에게 복합 운동프로그램의 효과 : 사례연구

Background: Although many of those who drive for a living are exposed to repetitive and awkward posture and whole body vibration which cause them cumulative trauma disorder, therapeutic studies related to the problems from the transport unit are still somewhat inadequate. The purpose of this case report is to identify the effect of combined exercise program on patients suffering chronic neck pain caused by long hour of intra-city bus driving. Method: A total of 4 subjects are selected as patients, all of whom have more than 10 years of experience in intra-city bus transportation services. These people have suffered from neck pain for years. We ran the combined exercise program 3 times a week for 4 weeks and respectively evaluated the results after the 2nd and 4th week. We implemented conventional physiotherapy for 40 minutes, another 40 minutes of combined exercise program, and then educated the patients to enable themselves to do active stretching program as a home program. The combined exercise program contained 3 different stages. 1st stage: active stretching program, 2nd stage combined stabilization exercise and strengthening exercise, 3rd stage: proprioceptive exercise Result: After 4 weeks of intervention, there was enhance in the range of motion. $12^{\circ}$ increase in flexion, $10^{\circ}$ in extension, $6^{\circ}$ in lateral flexion respectively, and $10^{\circ}$ in rotation on average. VAS(visual analgue scale) decreased by 33% on average, NDI(neck diability index) by 28% and fatigability by 23%. Conclusion: There were improved results in the range of motion, NDI, VAS, and in fatigability after applying combined exercise program to intra-city bus drivers exposed to whole body vibration and cumulative trauma disorder.
저항성 운동이 제2형 당뇨모델 고환조직의 항산화효소 및 GLUT8 발현에 미치는 영향

PURPOSE: This study was performed to examine the effects of resistance exercise training on antioxidant enzymes activity and GLUT 8 expression in testis of OLETF rats. METHODS: At 30 weeks of age the male OLETF rats were divided into three groups: control group (LETO, n=8), diabetes group (OLETF, n=8), and exercise group (OLETF+RE, n=8). The exercise group was conducted to climb a 180 cm vertical (80 degree incline) ladder with weight secured to their tails. For 8 weeks, the rats performed 5 days per week which is gradual ladder climbing exercise. First week, the rats were familiarized with climbing up to the top cage without weight on their tails. After one week of adaptation, training session were commenced with intensity at 30% of each rat’s body weight; angling weight used attached to the tail with a plastic hairclip and string. RESULTS: The results of this study was following; Antioxidant enzymes were significantly differenced by resistance exercise training. In testes of exercise group, SOD/CAT/GPX were significantly higher than those in the diabetes group (p<.05). Also, GLUT8 expression of testes was significantly increased in exercise group compared with diabetes group (p<.05). CONCLUSIONS: Theses results suggest that resistance exercise in early stage of diabetes can improve antioxidant enzymes activity in testes tissue. Also, it positively affects glucose metabolism through increase GLUT 8 expression. Therefore, regular exercise may be an efficient strategy for male reproductive health.
UPFC 이상변압기 모델을 사용한 유연송전장치 일차민감도해석

This paper presents a screening technique for greatly reducing the computation involved in determining the optimal location and types of Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) devices in a large power system. The first-order sensitivities of the generation cost for various FACTS devices are derived. This technique requires solving only one optimal power flow (OPF) to obtain sensitivities with respect to FACTS device control variables for every transmission line. To implement a sensitivity-based screening technique, we used a new UPFC model, which consists of an ideal transformer with a complex turns ratio and a variable shunt admittance. A 5-bus system based on the IEEE 14-bus system was used to illustrate the technique.
