고정상 생물막 반응기를 이용한 DMSO 함유폐수의 처리

The objective of this study was to investigate the performances of the activated sludge and fixed-film biological reactor in treating industry wastewater containing dimethyl sulfoxide [DMSO, (CH₃)₂SO]. When the influent DMSO concentration increased from 400 ㎎/L to 800 ㎎/L at hydraulic retention times from 48 to 24 hours, the soluble TOC removal efficiencies of the activated sludge and fixed-film reactors were in the range of 95.3-97.5% and 96.5-97.6% respectively. Meanwhile, the TCOD removal efficiency of the activated sludge was in the range of 80.5-98.0%. while that of the fixed-film reactor was 94.9-98.5%. The reason for the high fluctuation of TCOD removal in the activated sludge process was the increase in the SS concentration in the effluent. The sludge washout was caused by the destruction of sludge floc due to the DMSO concentration in the suspended culture. However, the fixed-film reactor showed a stable effluent quality compared to that of the activated sludge reactor during whole operating period.
DEA 교차분석 모형을 이용한 자동차 부품기업의 효율성 측정에 관한 연구

The study on the efficiency analysis of Korean automobile parts companies is mostly based on the calculation of the size of output such as sales. However, the performance indicators such as sales, operating profit, and net profit are directly related to the cost structure, and this cost structure is affected by changes in the company"s asset structure and capital structure. As a result, it is necessary that efficient capital procurement should be done at the same time to create efficient management performance through proper investment. In this study, we aim to measure the efficiency of asset and capital procurement compared to the sales figures, such as sales, generated by 33 primary suppliers who supply parts to Hyundai Kia Motors. For this purpose, this study proposed a DEA cross analysis model that can simultaneously measure efficiency in terms of input assets and capital procurement based on the same management performance when analyzing the efficiency of domestic auto parts companies.
DEA와 로지스틱 회귀분석을 이용한 자동차부품기업의 효율성 분석 및 재무전략

This study applied DEA analysis to measure the relative efficiency of 35 companies that produce automobile body components. First, the input and output, the improvement target value of the calculated variables, and the reference group for benchmarking for inefficient groups to become efficient groups were established through DEA analysis. In addition, whether inefficiency was due to technical inefficiency or size was analyzed in connection with the cases of the actual companies through the measurement of scale efficiency. Second, a route for efficiency improvement was derived through DEA–Tier analysis by defining the possible group for benchmarking in actuality within the production industry of automobile body components where the primary cooperative company belonged. Third, the financial variables that generate the difference between efficient and inefficient groups were derived through logistic regression analysis. Financial strategies that determine the direction the indices should be improved to allow the inefficient group to become an efficient one were recommended. This research is expected to provide diagnostic methods for management efficiency and the direction of improvement to enhance the management efficiency of automotive parts makers by identifying the causes of the inefficiency of domestic automotive parts makers empirically. The study also provides financial strategies together with the target values of efficiency improvement for each individual company.

Based on the results in the first-part paper, PSS tuning methods including the determination of PSS gain and compensation of phasor lagging are investigated in this second part. In the phase compensation, PSS should compensate phase lagging, resulted from power system-generator-excitation system loop, to provide damping torque in equal phase with the generator speed. Also, PSS gain should be determined to provide maximum damping torque as much as possible without the other modes unstable. In this paper, gain tuning method using the root-locus and the phase compensation of PSS at the one machine with infinite bus system are presented. The differences between PSS tuning at the tuning condition and at the least-stable condition are also discussed.
