과황산(persulfate) 산화반응을 이용한 염소계 화합물(TCE, PCE) 분해에 관한 연구

Trichloroethylene (TCE)와 tetrachloroethylene (PCE)은 주로 드라이클리닝 및 산업 세척액으로 쓰이는 염소계 화합물이며, 발암성 물질로 알려져 있다. In situ chemical oxidation (ISCO)는 토양 및 지하수를 처리하는 기술로, 지표 아래에 존재하는 오염된 지역까지 산화제를 전달하여 오염물질을 처리하는 기술이다. ISCO에 사용되는 산화제 중 persulfate는 강력한 산화제인 sulfate 라디칼 (SO₄-)을 발생시켜 처리하는 기법으로, 본 연구에서는 TCE와 PCE의 분해에 persulfate 산화공정을 적용하여 초기 pH (3, 6, 9, 12), persulfate의 농도 (0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 M), 초기오염물질농도 (10, 30, 50, 70, 100 mg/L)에 대한 영향을 알아보았다. 초기 pH가 3 일 때, TCE와 PCE는 각각 93.2%와 89.3%로 가장 높은 처리효율을 나타낸 반면, 초기 pH가 12 일 때, TCE 55.0%와 PCE 31.2%로 가장 낮은 효율을 보여 pH가 높아질수록 처리효율이 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 persulfate의 농도가 증가할수록 TCE/PCE의 처리효율이 증가하였으며, 가장 높은 persulfate의 농도 (0.5 M)에서의 처리효율은 96.5% (TCE), 95.7% (PCE) 였다. 반면 초기오염농도가 높아질수록 처리효율은 낮아지는 경향이 나타났다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 가장 빠른 분해속도를 나타내는 조건은 pH 3, persulfate농도 0.5 M, 그리고 오염물질 (TCE/PCE) 농도 10 mg/L이었고, 이때 구해진 1차 분해속도 상수 (kobs)는 1.04 (TCE)와 1.31(PCE) h-1였다. In situ chemical oxidations (ISCO) are technologies for destruction of many contaminants in soil and groundwater, and persulfate has been recently studied as an alternative ISCO oxidant. Trichloroethylene (TCE) and tetrachloroethylene (PCE) were chosen for target organic compounds. The objective of this study is to demonstrate the influence of initial pH (3, 6, 9, 12), oxidant concentrations (0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 M), and contaminants concentrations (10, 30, 50, 70, 100 mg/L) on TCE/PCE degradation by persulfate oxidation. The maximum TCE/PCE degradation occurred at pH 3, and the removal efficiencies with this pH condition were 93.2 and 89.3%, respectively. The minimum TCE/PCE degradation occurred at pH 12, and the removal efficiencies were 55.0 and 31.2%, respectively. This indicated that degradation of TCE/PCE decreased with increasing the initial pH of solution. Degradation of TCE/PCE increased with increasing the concentration of persulfate and with decreasing the concentration of contaminants (TCE/PCE). The optimum conditions for TCE/PCE degradation were pH 3, 0.5 M of persulfate solution, and 10 mg/L of contaminant concentration. At these conditions, the first-order rate constants (kobs) for TCE and PCE were 1.04 and 1.31 h-1, respectively.
Panorama, CT를 이용한 상악동내 중격의 임상적 연구

Purpose: The aim of this study was to examine the incidence, location and morphology of antral septa using radiographic exam.(Panorama, CT) in the dentate/non-atrophic and edentulous/atrophic maxillary segments. Material & methods: 232 sinuses were subdivided into two groups(group1 : 175 sinuses were classified as complete & partial dentate maxillary segments, group2 : 57 sinuses were classified as complete edentulous maxillary segments) and were investigated for the incidence, location and morphology of maxillary sinus septa. Results: A total of 80 septa were observed in 232 maxillary sinuses, which corresponded to 30.65% of the sinuses(71 of 232). 67.5% of the total septa was observed in the complete & partial dentate groups, but 32.5% of the total septa was observed in the complete edentulous group. Upon analysis of the anatomical location of the septa, it was seen that 14 septa(17.5%) were located in the P1 area, 15 septa(18.7%) were located in the P2 area, 19 septa(23.8%) were located in the M1 area and 32 septa(40%) were located in the M2 area & dista area of M2. we found 45 septa in the apical lesion of teeth, Group 1. However the remaining 9 septa were found in the edentulous area. Conclusion: CT is a better method than panoramic radiography for detecting the presence of the maxillary sinus septa. Maxillary sinus septa are more commonly detected in complete edentulous maxillary segments than in complete & partial dentate maxillary segments. Also maxillary sinus septa are more commonly detected posteriorly than anteriorly.
하악골 과두하 골절 시 후하악접근법 통해 ORIF시행한 환자들의 술 후 추적조사

Purpose: The classic technique for open reduction of subcondylar fractures is the submandibular approach. The aim of this study was to evaluate clinical result of retromandibular approach to displaced subcondylar fractures. Material and methods: During a period of 24months we perfomed a prospective study with a retromandibular approach in 23 paients with displaced subcondylar fractures. In this article we describe clinical result in 23 patients with follow ups for 3 months after surgery. Preoperatively all patients had malocclusion and radiology demonstrated displacement. Result: The retromandibularl approach for ORIF was good in all case. Mouth opening(M/O) was 49mm. Occlusion was good too. Permanent facial nerve palsy was not detected. Conclusion: Our findings indicate that the retromandibular approach is a safe technique for subcondylar fractures.
그람양성균으로 인한 감염 척추염에서 Linezolid의 효과와 안전성

Background/Aims: Infectious spondylitis requires long-term antibiotic treatment; however, the use of intravenous antibiotics during this period has high social and monetary costs due to hospitalization. Linezolid has high oral bioavailability and is not affected by changes in renal or hepatic function. We investigated the clinical and microbiological effects of linezolid in infectious spondylitis caused by beta-lactam resistant gram-positive bacteria. Methods: Clinical data from patients who were treated with linezolid for at least four weeks were collected retrospectively from electronic medical records at the Seoul National University Hospital, Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, and Boramae Medical Center from 2006 to 2016. Results: Twenty Korean patients were treated with linezolid for at least four weeks during the study period. Of these, 14 patients were cured, four failed, and two cases of mortality occurred due to other causes than infectious spondylitis. Ten of 13 patients who had previously been assessed as vancomycin treatment failure were cured by linezolid. Bacteremia occurred in 14 patients, and 10 of these showed persistent bacteremia at the time of linezolid administration. Eight of these cases of persistent bacteremia were cured by linezolid. Median duration of linezolid treatment was 40.5 days (28-90 days). Severe cytopenia (grade II or more of National Cancer Institute criteria) was the most common adverse event, with incidences of 11.11% for neutropenia, 12.96% for anemia, and 20.37% for thrombocytopenia. Conclusions: Linezolid can be used as an effective antibiotic agent in patients with infectious spondylitis, especially when treatment failure of the first-line treatment is expected. This study is intended to grasp the point of Identity in Christian ethics. Jesus Christ is the initiator of Christianity and the son of God. His words and careers in Old and New Testament(The Holy Bible) get to the foundation stone at the Christian ethics and the development of Christian ethics up to now. It's very important to our crumbled ethics situation to illuminate Jesus Christ's ethical thoughts as the kernel of Christian ethics. Old Testament provide the basis of law and the formative process of Jesus Christ's ethical thoughts. New Testament includes main contents of ethical words and conducts in Jesus life. Some of their Distinctive features are epitomized as follow, above all Christian ethics take its practical motive power out of gospel Faith. And spiritual internality as God's intention is the only motive of conducts. The best virtue is Agape Love on behalf of compassion, mercy, justice, lovingkindness. The eschatology in relation to the Kingdom of Heaven presents obvious purpose for the redemption as the eternal life and the best good. This study is only the first part for the complete appreciation in Christian ethics and settlement of the problems in realms of the applied ethics.
