저온용 저장탱크의 보온계산을 위한 Sol-Air 온도에 관한 연구

In this thesis, the Sol-Air temperature distribution for the side-wall of a cylindrical cryogenic storage tank made of nonhomogenious composite layer was studied, in order to calculate the thermal load by Newton's cooling law, when the solar radiation was applied upon the side wall. In the analysis, the atmospheric slab was assumed to be horizontal and infinitely large, and the Sol -Air temperature, which was found by the Net- Radiation method considering the longwave radiation wi th surroundings, was used for boundary condition. Energy equation and boundary conditions were normalized by the defined reference- temperature, and solved. The solutions were developed by the Fourier cosine series. Then, the Sol-Air temperature distribution for the side-wall of LNG storage tank was calculated.

An experimental study has been conducted to investigate characteristics of the flow patterns, its transitions and the mean local void fraction obtained from which the probe was traversed diametrically from center to wall of the test section in the vertical upward air-water flow for isothermal condition using the electrical conductivity probe. It has been shown that the probability density function of the mean local void fraction measured statistically from a Fast Fourier Transform becomes a criterion for the flow patterns and the mean local void fraction profile is a highly function of the flow patterns.

In this paper, a study is made of the steady laminar free convection boundary-layer equations on a sphere with uniform surface heat flux. To solve the boundary-layer equations, well-known Pohlhausen's simiarity solution for vertical plates is adopted just the same for spherical bodies by introducing twonondimensional parametric functions, so called azimuth functions. To determine the values of the azimuth functions which are expressed in series at the two points (the upper stagnation point and the equator), trial and error method is required. It is concluded that the heat transfer results are in good agreement with obtained from perturbation method and Von Karman-Pohlhausen method within the steady laminar free convection region for Pr=0.70.

The thermophysical property values were determined and compared with each other according to the tine of surface treatment. The diffusivity values were obtained by the flash method, and the specific heat values were measured by the differential scanning density. The thermal conductivity values were calculated from the values of the thermal diffusivity, specific heat, and density. The nitrided steels were the structural carbon steels, carbon tool steels, alloy tool steels, and high speed tool steels.

본 연구에서는 이러한 점에 착안하여 비가열수직이상유동계에서 전도Probe 를 이용하여 시간평균보이드율을 측정하여 이들로부터 통계적으로 처리된 확률밀도함 수(PDF)분포와 이와 관련된 일련의 모우멘트계산을 시도 하므로써 유동양식과 천이특 성에 대하여 객관적이고 체계적인 해석을 하였다. 또한 학계 및 산업계에서는 측정 기구의 단순화가 요구되므로 전도Probe의 출력신호를 분석하여 유동양식에 따르는 특 성을 아울러 구명하였다. Flow patterns and its transitions in vertical two phase flow of air-water isothermal flow are identified objectively by void output signals and moments computed from the Probability Density Function which is associated with the statistical measurement for time average local void fractions using conductance probe. It has been shown that the probe output signals, PDF distributions and its moments are deterministic criteria of flow pattern and transition classification.
LPG 엔진 실린더 블록의 온도 분포 특성 해석을 위한 프로그램 개발

A computer program has been developed to predict the heat transfer characteristics and the temperature distribution in the cylinder block of a 4-cylinder, 4-stroke engine. The finete element method is employed to handle the complex geometries associated with the practical cylinder block. The hexahedron finite element is used for a mesh generation of three-dimensional domain. The present numerical procedure has been validated with the measured temperature at several locations of cylinder block. The heat transfer characteristics of engine cylinder block is systematically analyzed for various engine speeds and loading conditions.
일정 열류속 및 온도조건하의 수직관내에서 공기의 자연대류 열전달 연구

The natural free convection in a vertical tube with uniform heat flux and temperature has been studied by the theoretical analysis is of governing equations and experimental measurements. In order to determine the Characteristics of Convective heat transfer in the tube, a dimensionless Rayleigh number is introduced. The relationship between Nusselt and Rayleigh number is compared with the numerical analysis of finite difference method and experiment. Nusselt number obtained from the experimental measurements are in a good agreement with the calculated values, and the relationship equations between Nusselt and Rayleigh number are obtained.

This analysis of numerical procedure is prediction of laminar flow and heat transfer at two dimension and steady flow in asymmetric sudden expansion channel. At former study, to analyse the flows with separation, the full Navier-Stokes equation is used, but there are many difficulties to analyse, and although significant progress has been made in the development of efficient computational methods for the Navier-Stokes equations, very large computation times are still required. In case of reward-facing flow, boundary-layer equation is used instead of full Navier-Stokes equation to analyse velocity fields, and result of this numerical analysis is good agreement with the given experimental study. In this case, since the computer time required for the boundary-layer calculation is an order of magnitude less than required for the solution of the full Navier-Stokes equation, this boundary-layer model provides a good approximate solution.

This study is on the performance prediction and design of a sirocco fan. Slip coefficient is very important factor for the performance analysis of a centrifugal-type fan. Because generally used slip coefficient equations of backward curved centrifugal fan are not appropriate for forward curved sirocco fan, in this study a proper slip coefficient equation for a sirocco fan is suggested. Using this equation performance prediction program for sirocco fan is composed of and also included the total noise prediction that include the turbulent noise at the fan inlet and boundary layer noise. A comparison between the values obtained from performance prediction program and experimental values shows that the program predicts the sirocco fan performance in a practical rate.
