As a result, it is revealed that educare curriculum and accreditation criteria had the content of disaster preparedness for children. In addition, it is necessary to pay attention to the disaster preparedness for young children.

        양육신념, 부모협력 및 가정학습환경과 유아의 학교준비도

        This study investigated the effects of three factors-mothers' parenting beliefs; child care-home involvement; and the home learning environment - on the school readiness of 3- to 5-year-olds. The subjects were 366 children who were enrolled in child care centers located in Seoul and the Kyoungki area, and their mothers. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique was employed to test the pathways to children's school readiness as indicated by the child's abilities in vocabulary, math and reading. The results showed that mothers' stronger beliefs in their responsibilities in their children's academic and behavioral development predicted greater involvement in child care and better quality in the home learning environment. Likewise, the quality of the learning environment predicted the extent of the child's readiness for school. No direct relation was found between child care involvement and the child's school readiness. The results imply that multiple factors - parental, child-care-related, and home environmental- explain the extent to which the child is prepared to adjust to scholastic life.

        유아의 행동규제 및 정서규제 능력이 또래 놀이행동에 미치는 영향: 성별에 따른 차이를 중심으로

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of preschool children`s behavioral and emotional regulation on their peer play behavior, focusing on gender differences. A total of 214 4- and 5-year-old children attending a child care center in South Korea participated in this study. The instruments used in this study were the Child Behavior Rating Scale, Emotion Regulation Checklist, and Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale. The collected data were analyzed using a Student`s t-test, Pearson`s partial correlation, and multiple regressions with the SPSS software ver. 16.0. The main results of this study are as follows: first, there was a significant gender difference in preschool children`s behavioral regulation, emotional control, play interaction, and play disruption. However, there was no gender difference in preschool children`s play disconnection. Second, preschool children`s emotional control and behavioral regulation had positive effects on their play interaction irrespective of gender. Third, preschool children`s emotional instability and emotional control had a positive influence on their play disruption irrespective of gender. Finally, the factors of behavioral regulation and emotional instability significantly predicted the boys` play disconnection, while for the girls, the significant predictor was emotional control. Further, implications for the use of early intervention targeting specific behavioral and emotional regulation problems have been discussed.

        유아의 긍정적, 부정적 정서성이 내면화 및 외현화 행동문제에 미치는 영향: 대인관계지능 및 개인이해지능의 매개효과를 중심으로

        This study focused on the links between emotionality, interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence, and behavior problems in a sample of 185 four- to five-year-old children in kindergarten and daycare centers in Seoul. All variables were measured by the teachers of surveyed children. Collected data were analyzed by Simple Regression and Hierarchical Multiple Regression. The main results of this study were as follows: Firstly, children`s positive and negative emotionality each exerted negative and positive effects on their interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence. Secondly, children`s positive emotionality had a negative influence on internalizing behavior problems. On the other hand, children`s negative emotionality had a positive influence on internalizing and externalizing behavior problems. Finally, effect of children`s positive emotionality on their internalizing behavior problems was totally mediated by interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence. On the other hand, effect of children`s negative emotionality on their internalizing and externalizing behavior problems was partially mediated by their interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence.

        유아의 한국어 어휘학습용 어플리케이션 분석: 태블릿 PC 어플리케이션을 중심으로

        This study evaluated the content of Korean vocabulary learning applications with a focus on tablet PC applications. We analyzed 51 Korean vocabulary learning applications. The instruments in this study were developed based on Yoo et al. (2012)’ Vocabulary Learning Game Application Evaluation Criteria and Hyun et al. (2013)’ Educational Application Evaluation Criteria. Data were analyzed using a t-test and one-way analysis of variance. The main results are as follows. First, each criteria’s score was fairly good; the ease of use had the highest scores and the amusement had the lowest scores. Second, there was a significant difference in the interaction by vocabulary teaching approach. Applications based on a whole language-teaching method had higher scores than applications based on a phonics instructional teaching method inducing more operation and with immediate feedback. Third, there was significant difference in the sum of score and each criteria of developmental appropriateness, educational values, amusement, function and interaction by type of learning. Applications of combining type had higher scores in every criteria except for ease of use than applications of description type. These findings provide a preliminary evidence that the systematic Korean vocabulary learning application facilitates preschoolers’ vocabulary learning.

        시설보호 아동의 행동문제에 영향을 미치는 보호요인과 위험요인 탐색

        본 연구에서는 시설보호 아동의 긍정적 정서성과 부정적 정서성의 상호작용으로 인해 행동문제의 발생정도에 차이가 있는지를 주목해 봄으로써 시설보호 아동의 행동문제에 있어 긍정적 정서성이 보호요인으로 작용하는지를 확인해 보았다. 이와 함께 시설보호 아동의 행동문제에 영향을 미치는 위험요인으로 시설거주기간과 생활환경변화를 선정하고, 이들이 질병횟수를 통해 행동문제에 미치는 영향에 대해 경로분석을 통해 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 만 4~12세 시설보호 아동 247명을 연구대상으로 선정하고 시설거주기간, 생활환경변화, 질병횟수, 정서성, 행동문제를 측정하였다. 그 결과, 시설보호 아동의 긍정적 정서성은 부정적 정서성이 내재화 행동문제에 미치는 영향을 완화시키는 조절효과를 보였다. 또한 아동의 시설거주기간이 길고 생활환경변화가 빈번할수록 질병횟수가 증가하였고, 질병횟수는 총 행동문제와 정적인 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 질병횟수는 시설거주기간과 총 행동문제와의 관계를 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. This study investigated protective and risk factors of behavior problems among 4-to 12-year-old South Korean children placed in institutional care (N=247). Positive emotionality buffered against the effects of negative emotionality on internalizing behavior problems. Time spent in institutions and changes in living arrangements were positively linked to the frequency of illness which in turn, was positively linked to the total behavior problems. We found that the frequency of illness partially mediated the link from children`s time spent in institutions and their total behavior problems. The results suggested that positive emotionality played as a protective factor while the frequency of illness was found to be a risk factor for behavior problems of children in institutional care in Korea.

        영유아 안전 관련 학술연구의 동향 및 내용 분석: 2010년~2017년

        본 연구에서는 2010년부터 2017년까지 국내 KCI 등재지 및 등재후보지에 게재된 영유아 안전 관련 학술연구의 동향 및 내용을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2010년부터 2017년까지 국내 KCI 등재지 및 등재후보지에 게재된 영유아 안전 관련 연구 총 75편을 분석대상으로 선정하였다. 논문은 SPSS Win 23.0 프로그램을 사용하여 빈도와 백분율, 카이검증을 사용해 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 첫째, 영유아 안전관련 논문은 2016년과 2017년 가장 많이 게재되었고, 영아 안전과 관련된 연구가 가장 적었다. 다음으로 연구유형은 41편의 논문이 실천연구로 나타났고, 기초연구, 기타 순이었다. 연구방법의 경우에는 절반 이상의 논문이 양적연구방법에 의해 수행된 것으로 나타났다. 주제어의 경향을 살펴본 결과, 안전교육, 안전지식, 안전사고 등의 주제어가 중요한 주제어로 제시되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 영유아 대상 안전사고가 빈번하게 발생하고 영유아 안전의 중요성이 더욱 강조되는 상황에서 영유아 안전 관련 연구 동향과 내용을 분석하여 안전교육의 필요성을 제시해주었다는 점에서 의의를 가지며, 안전 관련 후속연구에서 추가적인 연구가 필요한 재난안전과 같은 연구주제 탐색에 대한 기초자료를 제공하는 역할을 담당할 것으로 예측된다. The purpose of this study is to analyze the trends and contents of the research related to young children safety published in the domestic KCI and the candidate journals from 2010 to 2017. To analyze this, we selected 75 articles related to safety for young children published in the KCI and candidate journals from 2010 to 2017. A total of 75 papers were analyzed for frequency, percentage and χ² using the SPSS Win 23.0 program. The main results of this study are as follows: First, the articles related to young children safety were published the most in 2016 and 2017 and related to infant safety were the least. Next, more than half of the research methods were conducted by quantitative research methods. The results of this study are meaningful in that it presents the necessity of safety education by analyzing trends and contents of research related to young children safety in situations where safety accidents for young children are frequent and the importance of young children safety is more emphasized. It is expected that this research will provide basic data on research topics such as disaster safety who need further research.

        다문화가정 유아의 언어능력과 가정문해환경

        본 연구에서는 다문화가정 유아의 언어능력의 특성을 살펴보고, 언어능력에 영향을 주는 가정문해환경에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 다문화가정 만 3∼5세 유아 14명과 이들의 비교집단인 일반가정 유아 18명을 대상으로 표현어휘, 수용어휘, 읽기능력에 대한 과제를 실시하였고, 다문화가정 유아의 어머니를 대상으로 가정문해환경에 대한 반구조화된 면접을 실시하였다. 다문화가정 유아의 언어능력은 전반적으로 일반가정 유아에 비해 뒤떨어지는 경향을 보였고, 다문화가정의 가정문해환경의 경우 물리적인 환경이나 자극은 비교적 잘 갖추고 있었으나, 정서적인 지지나 인식의 측면에서는 부족한 부분이 발견되었고, 실제 유아가 발달함에 따라 적절한 활동을 이끌어내는 데에는 어려움이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이처럼 가정문해환경의 결핍은 유아의 언어발달에 부정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있으므로 이 연구의 결과는 다문화가정 어머니가 유아기 자녀에 대해 정서적인 지지와 인식을 가질 수 있도록 도움을 주는 교육이 필요함을 보여주었다. The purposes of this study were to investigate children`s language ability from multi-cultural families and their home literacy environment related to language ability. The subjects were fourteen 3-5 aged children from multi-cultural families and eighteen 3-5 aged children without multi-cultural family background. To achieve these goals, tasks for children`s expressive vocabulary ability, receptive vocabulary ability, reading ability were conducted and mothers of children from multi-cultural families were interviewed for getting information about home literacy environment. The results of this study were like these. The language ability of children from multi-cultural families was poorer than that of children without multi-cultural family background. The multi-cultural families had language materials somewhat, however, mothers from multi-cultural families rarely supported their children emotionally and had problems to facilitate children`s language ability according to developmental level. This results suggest that parental education is needed for mothers from multi-cultural families to improve home literacy environment and their children`s language development.
