백서 심근경색모델에서 시간경과와 경색의 크기에 따른 심자도의 변화

N/A Background: Magnetocardiogram (MCG), which records the changes of magnetic fields generated by the heart`s electrical activity, theoritically can provide unique data for clinical application. To date, MCG has been investigated only at a single time point after myocardial infarction (MI) with severe left ventricular dysfunction in rats. The purpose of the present study was to investigate sequential changes of MCG after MI and to evaluate effects of infarct size on MCG. Methods: Acute MI were induced by the permanent ligation of left coronary artery in 22 rats. Magnetic fields were recorded just above a rat with Nb Superconducting Quantum Interference Device (SQUID) gradiometer inside a magnetically shielded room. MCG was measured before and immediately after surgery and it was subsequently recorded at the time points of 1, 4 and 6 hours post operatively. MCG was also measured at 1, 3, 7 and 21 days after surgery. Results: Elevation of ST segment and appearance of pathological Q wave on the MCG were evident immediately after the ligation of coronary artery and persisted to 6 hours after MI. On MCG, ST segment was depressed and T wave was inverted from 1 day after MI. In rats with small-and moderate- sized MI (infarct size〈30%), ST depression returned to near the isoelectric level and Q wave disappeared from 7 days after MI. However, ST depression and Q wave were still present in rats with larger infarct (infarct size≥30%). Conclusion: Evolutional changes of MCG were well-recognized up to 21 days after MI. Furthermore, the infarct size can be expressed by the extent of Q wave and ST segment depression on MCG. Taken together, these data indicate that MCG is a helpful modality for the diagnosis, evaluation of infarct size and follow up after MI.(Korean J Med 62:42-48, 2002)

심박변이율의 감소는 심근 경색 환자에서 예후의 악화와 관련되어 있다. 심박변이율 중 very low frequency가 심부전환자의 예후를 판단할 수 있는 독립적 인자로서 사용이 가능하다고 보고된 바 있으며, 심실의 압력 증가에 반응해서 생성되는 B-type natriuretic peptide가 심근 경색의 예후 인자로서 사용할 수 있음 역시 보고된 바 있다. 본 연구에서는 심근경색 모델을 제작하여 일정의 회복 기간을 거친 다음 다시 일정 기간의 스트레스를 겪게 한 후 심박변이율의 변화 및 심실 조직에서의 BNP 발현 정도를 비교하여 스트레스에 의한 영향을 관찰하고자 하였다. Sprague-Dawley계 수컷 흰쥐 15마리를 대상으로 하였다. 실험동물은 인위적 스트레스 및 수술을 받지 않은 대조군(CON, n=5), 심근경색 수술을 받은 후 restraint stress를 받지 않은 군(MI+No Stress, n=5), 심근경색 수술을 받은 후 1주일 동안 restraint stress를 받은 군(MI+Stress, n=5)으로 분류하였다. 심근경색 모델 제작 직후 15분 이상 심전도의 변화를 기록하였으며, 2개월 정도 후 심근경색 수술을 받은 동물을 두 군으로 나누어 그 중 한 군에는 1주일 동안 restraint stress를 가한 후 restraint stress를 가하지 않은 동물과 심박변이율을 비교 분석하였다. 심실 조직은 좌심실 전벽 부위의 위축을 관찰할 수 있었고, 대식세포에 의하여 응고, 괴사된 심근세포의 탐식과 혈관이 풍부한 육아조직 및 섬유 변화를 볼 수 있었다. 심박변이율은 심근경색 수술을 받은 직후 심박수는 유의한 증가를 보였고, standard deviation of the normal to normal intervals (SDNN), very low frequency (VLF) 및 low frequency (LF)의 유의한 감소를 보였다. 심근경색 수술을 받았던 동물에서 두 달 정도의 회복 기간을 거친 후 스트레스를 받지 않은 군은 심박수 및 기타 심박변이율 분석에서 SDNN 값을 제외하고는 정상군과 유의한 차이를 관찰할 수 없었던 반면 1주일 동안 스트레스를 받은 군에서는 심박수가 다시 유의하게 증가했을 뿐만 아니라 SDNN, VLF 및 LF 역시 정상군과 유의한 차이를 보였다. 이상의 결과를 종합하면 심근경색 동물에 대해 1주일 동안 스트레스를 가한 결과 심박변이율이 감소하고 심실에서의 BNP 발현은 더욱 증가하여 악화함을 보여주고 있다. Diminished heart rate variability (HRV) is associated with less favorable prognosis after myocardial infarction (MI). It has been reported that very low frequency (VLF) power in HRV analysis is an independent risk predictor in patients with congestive heart failure and B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) can be used as a prognostic factor of MI. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether stress has an effect to the changes of BNP expression and/or heart rate variability in MI model in rats. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 3 groups: control group (CON), MI group (MI+No Stress), and MI followed by stress group (MI+Stress). MI+Stress group rats were raised for a two month recovery period after the operation, followed by being exposed to restraint stress for 2 hours per day for 1 week. Electrocardiogram was recorded after the operation and the last day after 1 week of stress. The frequency components of HRV were calculated in the frequency domain such as VLF, low frequency (LF), high frequency (HF) and so on. In HRV analysis, standard deviation of the normal to normal intervals (SDNN) was significantly reduced in both groups compared to the control group. VLF and LF also were significantly reduced in MI+Stress group compared to the control groups. In addition, BNP expression in western blotting was shown the strongest bands in MI+ Stress group among experimental groups. These results suggest that BNP and HRV were aggravated by stress in MI rat model. (Korean J Str Res 2010;18:275∼285)

Histone deacetylase 3 is selectively involved in L3MBTL2-mediated transcriptional repression

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>This is the first report that L(3)mbt-like 2 (L3MBTL2) specifically interacts with the histone deacetylase domain of histone deacetylase 3 (HDAC3) via its MBT domain. Here, we show that L3MBTL2 selectively interacts with HDAC3, but not other class I HDACs. An in vitro peptide-binding assay demonstrated the specific association of HDAC3 with methylated histone-K20 tail and L3MBTL2. Furthermore, depletion of HDAC3 resulted in a decrease of methylated K20-H4, as well as an increase in acetylated histone H3. Consequently, HDAC3 knock-down selectively suppressed L3MBTL2-mediated transcriptional repression. 장편 『안개의 肖像』의 잡지 연재본과 단행본 간의 간극 고찰

This study took note of the gap between the version serialized in the magazine and the book version of The Portrait of Fog. This work was serialized in women’s monthly magazine Women’s Life from 1969 to 1970, and then its book version was published in 1973. At that time, writer Ku Hye yeong was working as a reporter for Women’s Life. In order to examine the characteristics of the serialized version, this study sorted out and analyzed Ku Hye‐yeong’s articles carried in Women’s Life during the period from the late 1960s to 1970. From the articles contributed by Ku Hye‐yeong, we could be inferred housewives’ ethics promoted by magazine Women’s Life in those days. The issues of the magazine in those days took First Lady Yook Yeong‐soo as a role model of Korean housewives and suggested it as housewives’ ethics to support the husband, to manage home, and to be concerned over national security. Novel The Portrait of Fog serialized in the magazine depicted love and parting of a young man and woman throughout the work in consideration of the appreciation taste of the readers who were housewives, and its later part suggested anti‐communist ideology with the Korean War as its background. While the serialized version lacked in theme consciousness and the degree of completion was markedly low, the book version had reinforced theme consciousness and showed consciousness of history. Having a young socialist as the hero of the story, most of all, the writer threw her effort in character creation, and criticized totalitarianism flooding in the left and right wings of the liberation space. Moreover, she revealed the writer’s negative view of socialism through the young socialist’s tragic end. What is more, the book version was more skillful than the serialized version in dealing with housewives’ ethics suggested by Women’s Life. In the work, the socialism‐oriented male character’s death was presented as a sacrifice of immature ideology, but the socialism‐oriented female character’s death was treated as a punishment upon a licentious woman who abandoned her husband and family. The author criticized totalitarianism of both the leftist and rightist powers in the liberation space, but solidified negation of socialism and impressed firmly housewives’ ethics suggested by the magazine by adding the label ‘socialist’ to the female character who abandoned the husband and home.

Kim Young-rang did not compromise in colony actuality and could keep own inside to be upright through writing such poetry.

황석영 소설에 나타난 여성인물 연구

Female subjectivity in novels written by Hwang Seok-young has maternity, post-colonialism and critical feature. Of these, maternity was given concrete expression most widely and deeply. In < Near Ipseok >, his debut work, < Pig Dream >, < The Way to Sampo >, and < A Bird of Molgaewol > he wrote in the early days, maternal imagination was showed, which became a sprout of maternality in his next works. < The Way to Sampo > and < A Bird of Molgaewol > shows dismantled family in the industrial era through maternity led by sister complex. Han Yun-hee, the character of < Old Garden > has maternity which rises above family and leans toward the outside. Maternity Han Yun-hee bestows a favor on her father is a form in family, while maternity she shows to other characters including Oh Hyeon-woo, Lee Hui-soo, Song Young-tae, Choi Mi-kyeong rises over blood relation. There exists more extended maternity in「Sim Cheong」. That’s because it represents a maternal family unit bonded with sororal love. At the same time, deification of female maternity is achieved through indicating altruistic maternity above a people. Post-colonialism of female subjectivity is showed through Oh Hye-jung, the character of「The Shade of Arms」, Yohan’s wife of「Guest」, and Sim Cheong of「Sim Cheong」. In these works, post-colonialism is realized through free female who is not under men, female who recognizes and confronts new colonial condition, their dauntless attitude toward conflict of ideology, and their recognition in the process of East Asia being eroding by imperialism. Last, critical feature of female subjectivity is represented through female practice teacher of「For Younger Brother」, Han Hey-ja of「Annals of Mr. Han」and Park Mi-ri of「A Slender Hand」. The target female subjectivity criticizes is absurdity of reality, contradiction of capitalism, and adherence of divided people. These female features enables Hwang Seok-young to get out of a prejudice that he wrote male masculine works and emphasized masculinity.

동시를 통한 총체적 언어교육이 아동의 다중지능 발달에 미치는 효과

본 연구는 아동의 다중지능 발달을 위해 '동시를 통한 총체적 언어교육 모형' 정립하여 이를 실제 적용한 후, 동시를 통한 총체적 언어교육이 아동의 다중지능 발달에 미치는 효과를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 선행 연구를 기초로 듣기, 말하기, 읽기, 쓰기, 문학, 관련교과 활동 영역으로 구성된 '동시를 통한 총체적 언어교육 모형' 정립하고 Gardner의 다중지능을 4 지능 측면으로 IQ적 측면, EQ적 측면, SQ적 측면, NQ적 측면에서의 효과를 검증하였다. 초등학교 2학년 아동을 대상으로 다중지능 발달에 관한 Shearer의 다중지능 발달 척도에 관한 사전 검사 실시 후, 총 8주동안 동시를 통한 총체적 언어교육을 실시하였다. 그 결과, IQ적 지능의 하위 MI 영역인 언어적 지능 발달에는 매우 효과적이었으나 논리-수학적인 지능의 경우 효과가 나타나지 않았으며, EQ적 지능의 하위 MI 영역인 음악적 지능, 신체-운동적 지능 발달에 모두 효과적이었다. 또한 SQ적 지능의 하위 MI 영역인 대인관계 지능, 개인이해 지능 발달에 효과적이었으며, NQ적 측면의 지능 발달에는 효과가 나타나지 않았다. 따라서 효과가 나타나지 않은 부분의 보완과 다중지능을 향상시킬 수 있는 총체적 언어교육에 대한 후속 연구를 위해 교사들이 고려할 사항들을 제언하였다 . The purpose of this study was to observe the effects of whole language education, through children's poetry on the multiple intelligence. To do this study has been established by being constituted by the related listening, speaking, reading writing, literature and related subject matters. Also, the 8 intelligences of Gardener have been distinguished in to the following categories: IQ, EQ, SQ, and NQ. The objects of this study were second graders. The model of whole language education through children's poetry had been used in a language classroom after investigating Shearer's position on the criteria of multiple intelligence development of second graders. The developed model had been executed in the language classroom during 8 weeks from March to May. As a result, it was shown to be effective for the development of language intelligence (which is a sub MI area of IQ) and also for the development of musical, physical intelligence (which is a sub MI area of IQ) but not effective for the development of logical-mathematical intelligence. Also, it was effective for interpersonal relationship and understanding intelligence (which is a sub MI area of SQ), but was not effective for the development of NQ. Therefore, a suggestion for further investigation of ways to supplement the non effective aspects of this model taking into consideration teachers will be stated. Finally, for whole language education activities, the role of the teacher is pivotal. This investigation deals with the need for Whole language and the related strategies for practicing it. Thus, this investigation is meant to be of concrete and substantial help for teachers in practice who want to apply whole language education to their activities.
