N-6-Halo-2-benzothiazolyl-N'-(o, p, m)-chlorophenylurea類의 合成과 그 抗菌力에 關한 硏究

Eight kinds of N-6-Halo-2-bensothiagolyl-N'-(o, m, p)-chlorophenyl ureas have been newly synthesized. All of these urea derivatives exhibited weak antibacterial activities on Staphylo-coccus αureus APPC 65389, Sarcina luteα APCC 9341 (Gram positive bacteria) at the concentration of 250-500㎍/㎖ in general. On the other hand, most of these urea derivatives except compound Ⅷ exhibited strong antibacterial activity on Escherichia coli APCC 25922, Shigella flexneri NIH, Salmonella typhi H 901 (Gram negative bacteria) at concentration of 100-250㎍/㎖. Especially, strong antibacterial activity was observed on compounds Ⅱ and Ⅳ.
5-〔3-(N-Substituted Piperazinyl)Propoxy〕Indan類의 合成과 中樞神經抑制效果

Five new indans, 5-[3-(N-substitued piperaziny) propxy]indans, were synthesized by condensation of 5-(3-bromopropoxy)indan, the intermediate, and N-substituted piperazines. The structure of the compunds were determined by means of IR, NMR spectoscopy along with elemental analysis. Each compound was tested for antimorphine and antiamphetamine effects as part of CNS depressant effects and for muscle relaxant action in mice. Thes compound exhibited less potent activity compared to chlordiazepoxide on CNS depressant effect. Muscle reaxant action of the compounds, the side effect of tranquilizer, however, was much weaker than that of chlordiazepoxide.

The insecticidal activity of six lately synthesized carbamate derivatives of furfural oxime N-methylcarbamate (I), 5-methyljural oxime N-methylcarbamate(II), methyl p-(methylcarbamoyl) oxybenzoate (IV), ethyl p-(methylcarbamoyl) oxybenzoat(V), n-propyl p-(methyl carbamoyl)oxybenzoate(VI)and n-butyl p-(methyl carbamoyl)oxybenzoate (VII) and of benz(e)-N-methyl-1,3-oxazadihydroine-2,4-dione(III) was examined using 0.2w/v% acetone solutions of each compound. Among them, alkyl p-(methyl carbamoyl) oxybenzoates exerted slightly insecticidal effects on Sogata furcifera HORVATH, Delphacodes stria striatella FALLEN, whereas no significant effects were observed on Nilaparvata Iugens STAL, Inazuma dorsalis MOISCHIULSKY, and Nephotettix apicalis cincticeps UHLER.

Most offshore structures including offshore wind turbines and ships, etc. suffer from the impulsive pressure loads in rough waves. Effects of elasticity on such slamming loads are investigated through results from free drop tests of several wedges which is made of steel. The cumulative deformation by consecutive free drops from 1,500mm in height is measured in the water tank.

When ships are sailing with large motions in rough waves, the slamming phenomenon happens and their bow, bottom, and flare suffer from impulsive pressure loadings. The reinforcing of ship structures has been determined by the equivalent static pressure recommended in the rule book of classification societies to prevent structural damages. However, ship's damages due to slamming are still reported and it should be required that characteristics of impulsive pressure loadings be investigated more carefully to improve the design guidance. In this study, the effects of elasticity on slamming loads are investigated by results from free drop tests of several wedges which are made of wood or steel.
