        실시간 교통 정보 제공을 위한 LBI 시스템 모델 개발

        This study presents an RTS(Real-time Traffic System) based on an LBS(Location Based Service) using 5.8~5.9GHz RSU(Road Side Unit). The proposed LBI(Location based Broadcast system on ITS) is a local information-based service supported by RSU for drivers, which has a feature of convergence between T-DMB system and ITS-based RTS. The convergence of local broadcasting station and ITS is realized by two-way communication and supports LBS(Location Based Service) by identifying of vehicle's location using RSU. Real-time information delivery and various services could be provided by information exchanges between LMM and local broadcasting stations. Furthermore, conventional technical limitations have been solved mutually such as transmission area limitation in RTS and one-way communication problem in T-DMB. This support real-time two-way communication to each driver. Therefore, it can be expected that traffic dispersion effects and services expansion for drivers by RTS and LBI. Finally, it is proposed to built and implement test-bed around institute.

        다중 SL-AVS 동기화 유지기법

        Due to the many advantages including low price, low power consumption, and miniaturization, the CMOS camera has been utilized in many applications, including mobile phones, the automotive industry, medical sciences and sensoring, robotic controls, and research in the security field. In particular, the 360 degree omni-directional camera when utilized in multi-camera applications has displayed issues of software nature, interface communication management, delays, and a complicated image display control. Other issues include energy management problems, and miniaturization of a multi-camera in the hardware field. Traditional CMOS camera systems are comprised of an embedded system that consists of a high-performance MCU enabling a camera to send and receive images and a multi-layer system similar to an individual control system that consists of the camera's high performance Micro Controller Unit. We proposed the SL-AVS (Small Size/Low power Around-View System) to be able to control a camera while collecting image data using a high speed synchronization technique on the foundation of a single layer low performance MCU. It is an initial model of the omni-directional camera that takes images from a 360 view drawing from several CMOS camera utilizing a 110 degree view. We then connected a single MCU with four low-power CMOS cameras and implemented controls that include synchronization, controlling, and transmit/receive functions of individual camera compared with the traditional system. The synchronization of the respective cameras were controlled and then memorized by handling each interrupt through the MCU. We were able to improve the efficiency of data transmission that minimizes re-synchronization amongst a target, the CMOS camera, and the MCU. Further, depending on the choice of users, respective or groups of images divided into 4 domains were then provided with a target. We finally analyzed and compared the performance of the developed camera system including the synchronization and time of data transfer and image data loss, etc.

        IP기반 교통시스템에서 데이터의 신뢰성을 위한 DCCP 개발

        ITS(Intelligent Transport System) as things are used for Broadcast service using TDMB/TPEG/NAVI rather than personal seamless service. It is attaching weight to Traffic information gathering, Charging, Settlement service. This research is applied to improve DCCP(Datagram Congestion Control Protocol) which has function as protecting data and preserving message boundary. The improving method is like that we solve data trust in UDP because Connection and Transmission overhead in UDP is less than in TCP. We fix the data loss which is generated from unordered delivery section of IP base wireless service by using DCCP protocol. We guarantee of connection with OBE(On-Board Equipment) and reliance about transmission of data by complement to mapping table and multi-hoping. Finally, We evaluate the performance about transmission of IP based data. We constructed a test-bed near research center for this test.

        Stepwise 동기화 지원을 위한 CMOS 이미지 센서 Firmware 설계 및 개발

        최근 CMOS 이미지 센서가 저전력, 저가격, 소형화를 이루면서 이를 이용한 하드웨어 및 응용 소프트웨어 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 하지만CMOS이미지 센서 제품들은 하드웨어에 비해 아직 응용 소프트웨어 및 펌웨어의 완성도에서 여러 가지 문제를 가진다. CMOS 이미지 센서 기반 폴링 기법은 불필요한 메시지 교환으로 인해 비효율적인 동기화 문제 및 전송 지연이 일정 수준으로 높아지면 데이터 재전송에 대한 오버헤드가 크다. 이러한 이유로 폴링 방식의 구조적 안정성(structural stability)에 문제점을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 MCU를 통한 펌웨어 기반의 고속 동기화 기법으로 폴링 주기를 세분화하여 Stepwise 동기화 기법을 제안하고, 인터럽트 방식을 적용하여 재접속 및 데이터 전송을 개선하였다. 결과적으로 제안한 기법이동기화 시간 및 에러 커넥션에서 20% 이상 뛰어난 성능을 보여주는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 CMOS 이미지 센서 기반의 C328R 보드와 저전력 MCU인 ATmega128L을 이용한 보드를 개발하고, 제공 소프트웨어와 제안된 펌웨어의 카메라 모듈과 동기화 시간 및 에러 커넥션(Error Connection) 등을 비교, 분석하였다. Lately, since Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor(CMOS) image sensor system has low power, low cost and been miniaturized, hardware and applied software studies using these strengths are being carrying on actively. However, the products equipped with CMOS image sensor based polling method yet has several problems in degree of completeness of applied software and firmware, compared with hardware’s. CMOS image sensor system has an ineffective synchronous problem due to superfluous message exchange. Also when a sending of data is delayed continually, overhead of re-sending is large. So because of these, it has a problem in structural stability according to Polling Method. In this study, polling cycle was subdivided in high-speed synchronization method of firmware -based through MCU and synchronization method of Stepwise was proposed. Also, re-connection and data sending were advanced more efficiently by using interrupt way. In conclusion, the proposed method showed more than 20 times better performance in synchronization time and error connection. Also, a board was created by using C328R board of CMOS image sensor-based and ATmega128L which has low power, MCU and camera modules of proposed firmware were compared with provided software and analyzed in synchronization time and error connection.

        CPU-GPU간 긴밀성을 위한 효율적인 공유메모리 접근 방법과 검증 시스템 구현

        In this paper, we propose a system for efficient use of shared memory between CPU and GPU. The system, called Fusion Architecture, assures consistency of the shared memory and minimizes cache misses that frequently occurs on Heterogeneous System Architecture or Unified Virtual Memory based systems. It also maximizes the performance for memory intensive jobs by efficient allocation of GPU cores. To test between architectures on various scenarios, we introduce the Fusion Architecture Analyzer, which compares OpenMP, OpenCL, CUDA, and the proposed architecture in terms of memory overhead and process time. As a result, Proposed fusion architectures show that the Fusion Architecture runs benchmarks 55% faster and reduces memory overheads by 220% in average.

        IoT 및 웨어러블 시스템을 위한 멀티 소스 기반 에너지 수확 구조

        마찰 나노 발전을 활용한 TENG(: Triboelectric nanogenerators)는 작은 진동에서 높은 변환 효율과 지속적인 전력을 얻을 수 있는 장점이 있다. 하지만, 마찰 전기 에너지 수집을 위해서는 비선형 에너지 추출 기술이 요구되며, 연결 인터페이스 회로를 통한 동기화 기반의 능동적인 스위치회로가 요구된다. 본 연구는 사람으로의 움직임으로부터 발생한 비선형(non-linear) 에너지를 효율적으로 저장하는 기법을 제시하였다. 또한, 개발된 보드는 서로 다른 방향으로 움직이는 동작으로부터 발생하는 에너지를 효율적으로 수확하고 저장할 수 있다. 본 연구에서 개발된 실리콘기반 압전기반의 TENG 셀과 다중모듈이 연결 가능한 에너지 하베스팅 보드의 측정하였다. 결과적으로, 다중입력 에너지 수집환경에서 안정적인 에너지의 저장 유지를 통해 약 49.2mW/count를 발전하였다. By using the Triboelectric nanogenerators, known as TENG, we can take advantages of high conversion efficiency and continuous power output even with small vibrating energy sources. Nonlinear energy extraction techniques for Triboelectric vibration energy harvesting usually requires synchronized active electronic switches in most electronic interface circuits. This study presents a nonlinear energy harvesting with high energy conversion efficiency to harvest and save energies from human active motions. Moreover, the proposed design can harvest and store energy from sway motions around different directions on a horizontal plane efficiently. Finally, we conducted a comparative analysis of a multi-mode energy storage board developed by a silicon-based piezoelectricity and a transparent TENG cell. As a result, the experiment showed power generation of about 49.2mW/count from theses multi-fully harvesting source with provision of stable energy storages.

        IEEE 802.11p에서 차량단말기간에 혼잡상황 해결을 위한 동적충돌 윈도우 향상 기법

        본 논문은 IEEE 802.11p에 기반한 CSMA의 미디어 접근 제어로서, 경쟁 차량단말기(OnBord Unit, OBU)의 증가에 따른 전송 지연(transmission delay)과 감소(data throughput decrease) 문제를 해결하고자 한다. 경쟁 기반의 전송매체에서는 OBU 증가에 따라 충돌 확률이 높아진다. 이러한 미디엄 계층의 성능 향상을 위해 교통량과 데이터 종류를 고려하여 접속 단말기의 개별 충돌 윈도(Contention Windows, CW)를 동적으로 조절하는 EDCA(Enhanced Distributed Channel Access)를 제안하였다. EDCA는 채널별 서비스 차별화를 위해 네 개의 클래스를 AC(Access Category)마다 고정된 최소 경쟁 윈도우(CWmin) 값과 최대 경쟁 윈도우(CWmax) 값을 적용한다. EDCA는 트래픽 특성별로 구분되어 AC 간의 차별화를 보장하지만, IEEE 802.11p에 구성된 채널별 특성과 네트워크 상태를 보장하지 않기 때문에, 짧은 채널 서비스별 혼잡에 따른 충돌 발생을 능동적으로 대처할 수 없다. 이에 따른 해결방안으로 CWminAS(CWmin Adaptation Scheme)와 ACATICT(Adaptive Contention window Adjustment Technique based on Individual Class Traffic)가 능동적인 CW의 제어 기법으로 제시되었다. 선행연구는 개별 AC 값에 따라 발생하는 충돌 확률을 고려하지 않거나 단일 채널 기반의 개별 AC 값만 고려하고, IEEE 802.11p의 채널별 요구 사항과 이에 따른 충돌 확률을 반영하지 않았다. 본 연구는 이전 서비스 구간에서 OBU 경쟁에 따라 발생하는 충돌 횟수와 현재 무선망의 혼잡을 고려하여, 다음 채널의 CW를 능동적으로 제어하는 기법으로 ACCW(Adaptive Control of Contention windows in considering the WAVE situation)를 제안한다. The study aims at offering a solution to the problems of transmission delay and data throughput decrease as the number of contending On-Board Units (OBU) increases by applying CSMA medium access control protocol based upon IEEE 802.11p. In a competition-based medium, contention probability becomes high as OBU increases. In order to improve the performance of this medium access layer, the author proposes EDCA which a adaptive adjustment of the Contention Windows (CW) considering traffic density and data type. EDCA applies fixed values of Minimum Contention Window (CWmin) and Maximum Contention Window (CWmax) for each of four kinds of Access Categories (AC) for channel-specific service differentiation. EDCA does not guarantee the channel-specific features and network state whereas it guarantees inter-AC differentiation by classifying into traffic features. Thus it is not possible to actively respond to a contention caused by network congestion occurring in a short moment in channel. As a solution, CWminAS(CWmin Adaptation Scheme) and ACATICT(Adaptive Contention window Adjustment Technique based on Individual Class Traffic) are proposed as active CW control techniques. In previous researches, the contention probabilities for each value of AC were not examined or a single channel based AC value was considered. And the channel-specific demands of IEEE 802.11p and the corresponding contention probabilities were not reflected in the studies. The study considers the collision number of a previous service section and the current network congestion proposes a dynamic control technique ACCW(Adaptive Control of Contention windows in considering the WAVE situation) for CW of the next channel.

        웨어러블 서비스를 위한 다중 발전소자 기반 에너지 하베스터 플랫폼 구현

        웨어러블 디바이스의 서비스 제공을 위한 지속 가능한 전원에 대한 요구가 높아짐에 따라 에너지 하베스팅의 중요성이 증대되고 있다. 본 연구는 마찰소자를 고려한 다중 에너지 하베스팅 플랫폼인 EH-P를 개발하였다. 높은 전압과 낮은 전류를 가진 하베스팅 소자에 전압을 낮추면서 전류를 높일 수 있는 스위치 회로 제시하였다. PV와 TENG의 상호보완적 구성을 통해 실내 환경에서 짧은 시간동안 MCU가 동작할 수 있는 전압과 전류를 제공할 수 있었다. 결과적으로 제안된 플랫폼을 통해 웨어러블 플랫폼을 동작시키고, 제작된 웨어러블 디바이스에서 전체 소모 전력 요구량의 29%를 제공함으로써 웨어러블 디바이스 사용시간(device life time)을 증가시킬 수 있었다. 이 논문에 제시된 결과는 멀티플 하베스터 플랫폼에서 웨어러블 하베스팅 애플리케이션의 활용을 위한 발전 소자의 가능성을 보여주었다. The importance of energy harvesting technique is increasing due to the elevated level of demand for sustainable power sources for wearable device applications. In this study, we developed an Energy Harvesting wearable Platform(EH-P) architecture which is used in the design of a multi-energy source based on TENG. The proposed switching circuit produces power with higher current at lower voltage from energy harvesting sources with lower current at higher voltage. This can powers microcontrollers for a short period of time by using PV and TENG complementarily placed under hard conditions for the sources such as indoors. As a result, the whole interface circuit is completely self-powered with this makes it possible to run of sensing on a Wearable device platform. It was possible to increase the wearable device life time by supplying more than 29% of the power consumption to wearable devices. The results presented in this paper show the potential of multi-energy harvesting platform for use in wearable harvesting applications, provide a means of choosing the energy harvesting source.
