Objectives Circadian rhythms have been known to have associations with psychiatric disorders and personality traits. The present study investigated the relationships between circadian typology and temperaments/characters in a non-clinical Korean population. Methods Two hundred six healthy Korean college students (male 109, female 97) participated in this study. The subjects completed the Composite Scale of Morningness for circadian typology and 140-item Temperament and Character Inventory-Revised-Short version (TCI-RS). Results Multivariate analyses of covariance showed a significant association between chronotypes and temperamental dimensions of the TCI-RS. Morning types were significantly associated with lower harm avoidance and higher persistence and self-directedness dimensions, compared to evening types and intermediate types. No interaction effects between sex and chronotypes were shown for temperamental dimensions. Conclusions The present findings suggest that high persistence and self-directedness characters are related to morning types and high harm avoidance temperament is more related to evening types.

효율적이고 체계적인 방송콘텐츠 심의를 위한 DB 시스템 개선 방안

본 연구는 방송통신심의위원회의 심의과정에서 심의 DB를 활용함으로써 보다 효율적인 업무수행과 체계적이고 일관된 심의결과를 도출할 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 타 콘텐츠 심의기관의 DB 시스템을 비교분석하고, 방송 심의 DB의 개선방안을 제시하였다. 분석결과, 타 콘텐츠 심의 DB의 경우 정보입력내용이 매우 자세하고 구체적으로 이루어져 객관적이고 일관된 심의가 이루어지도록 하고 있다. 또한 DB 활용 측면에서도 타 기관의 경우 다양한 방식으로 심의 결과를 활용할 수 있도록 접근성과 활용가능성을 높이고 있다. 향후 방송심의 DB가 체계적이고 효율적으로 구축, 활용됨으로써 심의대상자인 방송사와 콘텐츠를 생산하는 제작자들이 심의결과를 수긍할 수 있도록 하는 체제로 개선되기를 기대한다. This research attempts to investigate the way of establishing a systematic and consistent review results by utilizing DB system of broadcasting content, which has been operated by Korea Communications Standards Commission. The current problems of DB system was analyzed and compared with review system of other contents regulating organizations to seek better alternatives. The results show that related information are recorded in review DB of other organizations in detail, so that committee members can utilize DB system in making consistent and objective judgment. In addition, other contents regulating organizations open the review results to the public and enhance the accessibility, so that people can make use of the DB. It is necessary to improve review DB in a systematic and efficient way for broadcasters and contents productions to accept and consent the review results.

본 연구는 행정안전부가 2000년부터 2010년까지 수행해온 비영리민간단체 공익활동지원사업의 보조금 지급내역을 파악한다. 또한 정부의 비영리민간단체에 대한 재정지원의 특성을 사업기간에 존재한 세개의 정부 시기(김대중, 노무현, 이명박)로 구분한다. 정부의 재정지원은 11년간 선정된 개별 사업을 사업성질별(표현형, 서비스형), 단체성질별(복지형, 주창형, 공제형,관변형)로 재분류한다.이와 함께 각 정부 간 지원실태의 공통성 및 차별성을 추적하여 도출된 결과를 토대로 정부의 비영리민간단체에 대한 재정지원의 발전방향을 제시하는 데 연구의 목적을 두었다. The purpose of this study is to suggest developing policy directions for MOPA’s(Ministry of Public Administration & Security). Government Funding Characteristics for NPOs. For the purpose, first, this study conducted statistic alanalysis on the data of the MOPAS’ subsidy payment for its public activity support project from 2000 to 2010. Secondly, the study reconstructed the selected projects and non-profit groups(NPOs) after finding the commonness and distinction of three governments, according to the categories of the project property(expression form and service form) and characteristic of the group(public welfare, advocating, and government circles). Finally, it conducted analysis against them for a systematic analysis. In conclusion, it is suggested in the aspect of support status that it is advised to turn the support targets from the advocacy-type groups to the service-type groups, to increase project support scope of the service-type projects, rather than the voice-type projects, and to abolish the support toward official circle-type groups.

유료방송 프로그램 장르 간 수요 대체성 및 채널 성과분석에 관한 연구: 영화채널을 중심으로

본 연구에서는 방송프로그램 영화장르의 시장획정을 널리 알려진 SSNIP(Small but Significant and Non-transitory Increase in Price) 테스트 방식을 적용하여 시도하는 것은 무리가 있다는 판단 하에, 시청자들의 채널 선택 행태를 사회연결망 분석을 활용하여 간접적으로 장르별 대체성의 존재 여부를 검증하였다. 분석결과 시청자들은 특정 장르에 편중되기 보다는 드라마, 지상파, 오락, 영화, 스포츠 채널들을 중심으로 선택적 선호에 따라 움직이는 것으로 나타났으며, 장르별 채널 이동 패턴 분석만을 놓고 보면 영화 장르와 다른 장르 간의 대체성이 존재한다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 영화장르를 하나의 시장으로 간주하기에는 무리가 따른다는 결론을 얻을 수 있다. 한편 영화채널부문의 손익계산서 분석을 통하여 영화채널의 통합이 통합 이전보다 품질저하 가능성이 있는지 판단하였다. 시청률과 광고수입을 회귀분석한 결과 광고수입은 시청률이 높아질수록 더욱 큰 폭으로 증가하는 경향이 발견되었으므로, 소량의 시청률 감소가 막대한 광고수입의 감소로 연결될 가능성이 매우 높다. 따라서 품질저하로 인한 시청률의 감소는 합병법인에게 심각한 광고수입의 감소를 유발할 것이 확실시 되므로 품질저하의 개연성이 지극히 낮다고 할 수 있다. 결론적으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 영화채널 분야를 활성화시켜 영화콘텐츠산업 전체의 건전한 시장구조를 수립할 수 있도록 지원해야 하는 측면에서는 인수합병이 보다 바람직한 대안으로 여겨질 수 있다. Although the SSNIP(Small but Significant and Non-transitory Increase in Price) test is a commonly used methodology for market definition, it can hardly be applied to the market definition of pay TV program genres. In this paper, a social network analysis has been applied to the market definition of pay TV movie genre. By analyzing the channel selection behavior of users, we examined the existence of substitute in the pay TV movie genre. In addition, this paper also investigated the potential to deteriorate the quality in the programs after the merger between the movie channels throughout the profit and loss statements analyses of each movie channel. Regression analysis on the viewer ratings and advertising revenue showed that the higher the viewer ratings are, the larger the advertising revenue is, and consequently it is very probable that even a small decrease in the viewer ratings results in huge amount of drops in the advertising revenue. Therefore, the merger corporate is not willing to reduce the program qualities on purpose. We have concluded that merger and acquisition of movie program channels could be an advisable alternative for restructuring the movie contents market.
