Photocurrent Measurements of Carbon Nanotube Networks with Physical Adsorption of Oxygen Molecules

We report persistent photocurrent measurements of carbon nanotube networks with various pres-sures of hydrogen, ammonia and oxygen gases. The maximum build-up photocurrent drops substan-tially as the gas pressure is increased. However, the decay time is very sensitive to the gas species. While the decay time increases signicantly under oxygen, only a modest increase is observed under H2 and NH3. The ab initio electronic structure calculations show that a physical adsorption of O2 molecules induces a shallow trap level within the band gap of the carbon nanotube, which is associated with an increase in the decay time. In this study, we investigated the subthreshold slope of random network carbon nanotube transistors with different geometries and passivations. Single-wall carbon nanotubes with lengths of 1-2m were grown by using plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition to form the transistor channels. A critical channel length, where the subthreshold slope was saturated, of 7 µm was obtained. This was due to the percolational behavior of the nanotube random networks. With the dielectric passivation, the subthreshold slope was dramatically reduced from 9 V/decade to 0.9 V/decade by reducing interfacial trap sites, which then reduced the interface capacitance between the nanotube network and the gate dielectric.

본 사례개발은 중소기업의 CSR 확산을 위한 사례집 개발 프로젝트의 일환으로 수행된 것으로 ISO 26000 인증의 환경, 지배구조, 인권, 노동, 공정거래, 소비자이슈, 지역사회참여 등의 7가지 주제를 가지고 중소기업의 실천사례를 중심으로 사례집을 제작하고자 한다. 향후 본 사례는 ISO 26000을 중심으로 지속가능보고서를 발간할 기업이나 CSR에 대한 구체적인 실천 방법에 관한 기업 및 관련기관에 지침서로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료되며, 이와 더불어 중소기업 CEO와 CSR관련 담당자들을 대상으로 이론과 실제의 접목을 위한 교육훈련용으로 쉽게 접근 가능하도록 스토리텔링 방식으로 교육컨텐츠를 제안하고자 한다.
