In this research, anode for SOFC has been manufactured from two different kinds of feedstock materials through thermal spraying process and the properties of the coatings were characterized and compared. One kind of feedstock was manufactured from spray drying method which includes nano-components of NiO, YSZ (300 nm) and graphite. And the other is manufactured by blending the micron size NiO coated graphite, YSZ and graphite powders as feedstock materials. Microstructure, mechanical properties and electrical conductivity of the coatings as-sprayed, after oxidation and after hydrogen reduction containing nano composite which is prepared from spray-dried powders were evaluated and compared with the same properties of the coatings prepared from blended powder feedstock. The coatings prepared from the spray dried powders has better properties as they provide larger triple phase boundaries for hydrogen oxidation reaction and is expected to have lower polarization loss for SOFC anode applications than that of the coatings prepared from blended feedstock. A maximum electrical conductivity of 651 S/cm at $800^{\circ}C$ was achieved for the coatings from spray dried powders which much more than that of the average value.

Corynebacterium glutamicum에서 promoter-probe vector인 pSK1Cat을 이용해 분리된 프로모터를 함유하는 단편들 중 가장 높은 활성을 나타낸 $P_{19}$ 단편에 대한 심도 있는 분석을 수행하였다. Subcloning을 실시하여 프로모터 활성을 지닌 DNA 영역을 180 bp로 압축할 수 있었고 $(P_{180})$, 이를 C. glutamicum의 균주개량 측면에서 그 활용성을 분석하였다. C. glutamicum에서 메치오닌 생합성에 관여하는metX유전자의 메치오닌에 의한 repression을 해제시키기 위하여 metX유전자의 promoter를 $P_{180}$ promoter로 교체하였고 $(P_{180}-metX)$, $P_{180}-metX$를 C. glutamicum에 도입하여 발현되는 homoserine acetyltransferase 활성을 다양한 성장조건에서 측정하였다. MB 영양배지에서 배양하는 경 우 $P_{180}-metX$를 함유는 균주는 wild type보다 약 24배 높은 homoserine acetyltransferase 활성을 나타내었다. Tac 프로모터에 연계하는 경우 $(P_{tac}-metX)$, 약 13배의 활성 증가만이 관찰되었다. 최소배지에서 배양한 후 분석한 결과, $P_{180}-metX$에서의 발현양상은 배지에 첨가된 methionine에 의해 영향받지 앓음을 확인하였는데, 이는 $P_{180}$ 단편이 생합성 유전자의 derepression에 의한 아미노산 생산균의 개량에 효율적으로 이용될 수 있음을 의미한다. $P_{180}-metA$를 라이신 생산균에 도입하는 경우 최대 약 0.8g/l의 메치오닌이 생산됨을 확인하였다. A transcriptionally active fragment $(P_{19})$ isolated by utilizing the promoter-probe shuttle vector pSK1Cat was analyzed. By subcloning analysis, the 180 bp region $(P_{180})$ responsible for the activity was determined. Transcriptional fusion of the C. glutamicum metX gene to $P_{180}\;(P_{180}-metX)$ resulted in a 24-fold increase in MetX activity in a complex medium, while a 13-fold increase was observed with the $P_{tac}$ promoter. Additionally, the expression conferred by $P_{180}$ was not affected by methionine added to the growth medium, suggesting that the $P_{180}$ clone is useful for the deregulated expression of biosynthetic genes in C. glutamicum during amino acid fermentation. Introduction of $P_{180}-metX$ into a lysine-producing C. glutamicum resulted in the production of methionine to 0.8 g/l.

Recently, started to apply a strategy of selection and concentration in the construction and transportation R&D for the effective utilization of limited R&D resources. The department of construction and transportation planned the construction and transportation R&D innovative road map by the future 10 years technical requirement under the first year on the innovation of the construction and transportation technology from last year. The innovative road map which is a strategic and long term master plan integrated a construction and transportation suggested a vision as value createar for a improvement of living quality in the future. And made a specific goal that is the seventh construction technology level and the fifth transportation technology level in the world. The department of construction and transportation is planning a mid- long range planing of the construction and transportation R&D as following measurement of innovative road map. KICTEP and KISTEP planned a mid- long range R&D planing of the transportation system, logistics, aviation, railway for the last year. Introducing a methodology used a mid- long range plan and main results of the future railway R&D plan. And suggesting a politic comments for the effectively propelling railway R&D projects.
BALB/c 마우스에서 발효 홍삼 Ginsenoside의 생체이용율과 항염효과

The fermented red ginseng by microorganism is known to increase pharmacological activity in vivo. To evaluate the bioavailablity of red ginseng fermented by probiotics, we conducted the pharmacokinetic study of ginsenoside Rb1, Rd and total ginsenosides (TG, ginsenosides Rb1 + Rd + Rg1 + F2 + Rg3 + compound K) in BALB/C mice. The AUC value of ginsenoside Rb1 in mice serum administered with 600㎎/㎏ drugs showed 21.93 ± 14.68 ng·h/mL (RGw, water extract), 275.211 ± 110.04 ng·h/mL (RGe, 50% ethanol extract) and 404.91 ± 162.57 ng·h/mL (fRGe, fermented red ginseng extract). Analysis of ginsenoside Rd also showed a higher ACU value in fRGe than in RGw or RGe. And the AUC value of total ginsenosides in mice serum treated with 600 ㎎/㎏ were observed 42.12 ± 23.44 ng·h/mL (RGw), 321.44 ± 133.5 ng·h/mL (RGe) and 537.33 ± 229.01 ng·h/mL (fRGe), respectively. Cmax value of ginsenoside Rb1 in mice administered with 600㎎/㎏ were observed 3.67 ± 3.34 ng/mL (RGw), 23.27 ± 8.81 ng/mL (RGe) and 25.52 ± 7.29 ng/mL (fRGe). These results can be considered that the fermented red ginseng has more bioavailability than that of unfermented red ginseng. In quantitative analysis of the inflammation-related cytokines IL-1β and TNF, no significant difference was found between the fermented red ginseng (fRGe) and the red ginseng (RGe).

It has been the impressions of many clinicinas in Korea that diverticular disease of the colon appears to be increasing in incidence as the life style of Korean populations is being westernized in the recent few decades. Therefore we should be always aware of this condition when we are dealing with the patients with abdominal pain particularly when it is right sided. The main difference between diverticulosis of oriental and western population is its common location. We found that in our series of 54 cases of colonic diverticulosis, the vast majority of the patients were found to have diverticulums in the right colon whereas in western population most common site is sigmoid colon. The majority of the patients presented with vague abdominal discomfort of recurrent nature and when it is right sided, the most of the cases were refered to us with tentative diagnosis of acute or chronic appendicitis. The complications of diverticulosis were varied and consisted of 4 cases of pericolic abscess, 2 cases of flank perforation, colonic obstruction most frequently done was right hemicolectomy 11 cases followed by excision of diverticulum individually 5 cases. There was no morality.
