        박물관 건립에 나타난 문화정책 프로세스 특성 연구 -서울시 박물관 문화정책을 중심으로-

        (Background and Purpose) With the development of digital technology in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the recent COVID-19 pandemic, existing museums, which focused on the physical space, are improving roles and functions, in line with the changes. The museums that have been opened in recent years have often aimed at continuous operation. Therefore, the direction of cultural policy and museum policy is changing, which have a significant influence on the museum construction policy. The purpose of this study is to analyze the current status and the condition of museum construction policies in Seoul through theoretical considerations of cultural policy and domestic museum policy, and to study the characteristics of the museum's cultural policy process. (Method) The subjects of the study are the Seoul Museum of Korean Folk Music, the Seoul Urban Life Museum, and the Seoul Museum of Craft Art, which were recently opened, as part of the 14 institutions that the Seoul Metropolitan Government had aimed to open since 2016. First, research on the concept of cultural policy and the construction of a museum is conducted by analyzing previous studies. In addition, it analyzes the characteristics of the policy process that appeared in the construction of the museum according to the Seoul Metropolitan Government's cultural policy by referring to internal documents, research, and presentation materials. (Results) This study analyzed the policy categories and the systems of Seoul's cultural policy and the museum policy to derive the characteristics of the cultural policy process that appeared in the construction of the museum based on the recent case of museum construction in Seoul. The categories of region, city, community, and individual were high or medium depending on the characteristics of the region or museum content, and all administrative categories were low. Four visions: Culture Regeneration, Culture Creation, Cultural Sovereignty, and Cultural Symbiosis were apparent in all cases, and the museum construction process has expanded and reduced according to detailed projects or project size, although the analysis can be largely categorized into four stages. (Conclusions) If the policies put forth by national and public institutions not only inform, but also prioritize individual citizens, take care of regions and cities, pursue cooperation without being bound by outdated administrative procedures, the museum's cultural policy is expected to be completed in the future. In addition, various museums suitable for the urban context such as content characteristics and locality are expected to be located.

        문화공간에 나타난 재생디자인 공간적 특성 연구 -서울시 박물관·미술관을 중심으로-

        (Background and Purpose) The Seoul Metropolitan Government is promoting a cultural development project for citizens’ lives and happiness levels under the Vision 2030, Cultural Citizen City Seoul. This project is largely divided into categories of individuals, communities, regions, and cities, and aims to achieve cultural sovereignty, cultural symbiosis, cultural heritage, and cultural creation. In particular, this cultural and artistic project focused on regenerating culture, rather than creating a new culture within the context of the city’s cultural heritage. Among the project’s initiatives, Museum, Art Museum City, Seoul aimed to regenerate abandoned places across Seoul by transforming them into cultural spaces. This study identifies such cultural spaces and examines how each case is preserved under the banner of regenerative design. (Method) To this end, a theoretical review was conducted on the regeneration and design of cultural and artistic spaces, with a focus on the 14 cultural facility openings that happened in Seoul. The project was conducted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and involved the researcher of this paper through inquiries from the relevant department. (Results) As a result of the study, the systematic types of regeneration projects in the cultural space of Seoul were classified into four categories: urban life and culture regeneration; content development and specialization; historical preservation; and culture and art. Following this, the spatial characteristics of reproduction design were analyzed for each case. All of them utilized resurrection-type spaces that gave new use to abandoned areas, while still preserving their original form as much as possible. In addition, they were structurally preserved and partially modified according to the safety level or the characteristics of each project. In some cases, new and old buildings were connected by expanding new buildings according to the size of the project. However, most of the buildings were not expanded. The characteristics of regenerative design are based on conservation and usability, but historical, artistic, social and cultural, place, participation, connection, and landscape appear in various ways depending on future space utilization and business characteristics. (Conclusions) In accordance with the goals of urban regeneration pursued by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, this research considered not only buildings that have already been opened, but also buildings that are about to be opened. In addition, this is expected to be implemented as a sustainable cultural reproduction space by harmonizing both the space itself and its content.

        디지털스토리텔링 활동 기반 과학관련 사회쟁점 수업의 교육적 효과에 대한 인식 탐색

        본 연구에서는 디지털스토리텔링을 적용한 SSI 교육프로그램(이하 DST-SSI 수업)을 개발하고, 학생들이 수업의 각 단계에서 인식하는 교육적 효과를 탐색해보았다. 디지털 기술을 활용하여 이야기를 제작하고 전달하는 디지털스토리텔링은 자신의 의견을 표현하는 동시에 학습의 결과를 공유하고 실천할 수 있는 기회를 제공하므로, 다양한 입장에 대한 이해와 타인과의 의견 조율이 요구되는 SSI 교육에 접목되었을 때 보다 상승효과를 가져올 수 있을 것으로 예상하였다. DST-SSI 수업은 교육과정과 밀접하게 연계되는 네 가지 주제를 선정한 후 각각의 SSI 주제에 적합한 DST 활동을 삽입하는 방식으로 구성되었으며, 본 연구에는 수업에 참여한 중학교 3학년 학생 중 24명이 참여하였다. 4명씩 그룹을 지어 포커스 그룹 면담을 진행하였으며, 면담내용은 모두 전사하여 분석에 이용하였다. 연구 결과, 학생들은 각각의 SSI 주제와 관련된 내용을 검색하고 자료를 수집하는 탐색 및 토의 과정에서 그동안 미처 인식하지 못했던 사회·윤리적 측면을 인식하게 되었으며, 주제를 둘러싼 입장이 매우 다양할 수 있음을 확인하고 수용하게 되었다. DST를 사전 제작하는 과정에서는 모둠의 의견을 효과적으로 반영하는 이야기를 전개하고자 다양한 관점을 조율했으며, 실생활에서 살펴볼 수 있는 자연스러운 상황을 주제로 하는 등 시청자의 공감을 이끌어낼 수 있는 감성적인 콘텐츠를 활용하는 방법을 고민하기도 하였다. 또한 학생들은 실제 DST를 제작하면서 자신이 전달하고자 하는 메시지를 보다 효과적으로 전달하기 위해 사운드트랙이나 시각효과, 화면 구성 등의 요소를 고려한 다양한 방법을 모색하였다. 마지막으로, 웹을 통한 디지털 스토리의 공유와 피드백 단계에서는 제작과정에서는 미처 깨닫지 못했던 내용을 확인하는 동시에, 해당 문제와 관련하여 실생활에서 실천할 수 있는 것을 찾아 행동으로 옮겨보는 노력을 한 것으로 드러났다. This study aims to examine the educational effects of the SSI program using Digital Storytelling (DST) approaches. Since DST provides students opportunities to express their own opinions in the form of stories and to share learning outcomes through the web, we developed and implemented SSI program by adopting the concept of DST in order to produce synergistic effects on student learning. Twenty-four 9th graders who enthusiastically engaged in the DST-based SSI program participated in this study. The students responded to focus group interviews after the instruction, and all interviews were transcribed for analysis. The results indicated that the students became aware of socio-ethical perspectives of each SSI topic while searching and collecting data by themselves. They also felt the necessity to consider multiple perspectives around the issues by having discussions with group members. Second, pre-producing DST allowed students to negotiate to settle on a group discussion, and to use emotional contents that can lead viewers to have sympathy. In addition, while producing DST, students considered various factors such as design, soundtrack, visual effects, and screen composition in order to express their opinions and convey their messages more effectively. In the stage of sharing DST outcomes and receiving feedback, they realized new perspectives that they did not perceive in the previous production process, and to move them into an action for resolving the problems caused by SSI. This study showed the potentials of DST-based SSI instruction as a good strategy to support students` SSI engagement.

        미술관의 작가참여 교육프로그램 실태와 개발에 관한 연구

        As more people want cultural life with the introduction of the high quality of life, humanity education is now taking up significant part of human life. Given this, education is required to foster humanity and emotion for emotional exchange and to display creativity through firsthand experience. Currently, many museums and art galleries offer various cultural activities to meet such demands. Although more education activities at an art museum can be seen in recent years, they are lacking in consistency without qualified manpower or staff to raise the quality of education programs. Regarding today’s growing demands for art education, this study is to look at how vitalize art museum education programs with artists, and that is three-folds: developing education programs like entertainment industry and involving community, integrating art museum education divided into art theory and practical skill, and offering the public more opportunities to appreciate modern art works more frequently. By concentrating on the programs involving artists, this study attempts to make a suggestion to expand the education programs. It will lend a helping hand so that an art museum can serve as a window to stimulate exchange with community by bringing new marketing promotion effect, artists can promote their works and reap economic profits, and audience can understand complicated modern arts easily with a help from artists and cultivate creativity.

        에지 센서티브 이미지 보간

        본 연구에서는 에지 성분의 추출을 보다 섬세하게 처리함으로써 이미지 화질을 개선하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 제안 방법은 고전적인 보간을 응용한 ESII(Edge Sensitive Image Interpolation)으로 보간 커널 식에서 고정된 매개 변수를 사용하지 않고 주변 화소 값으로 부터 적절한 정보를 얻어내서 매 화소마다 매개변수를 변화시킨다. LSE(Least Square Error)를 이용하여 CME(Camera Modelling Error)를 최소화 하도록 보간 할 화소 값을 결정함으로써 이미지를 복원하며, 기존 방법에 비교하여 객관적, 주관적 화질이 우수함을 실험, 제시하였으며 또한 영상을 1차원 정보로 분리하여 고려한 결과 계산상의 복잡도를 줄이는 효과를 기대할 수 있다. In this study, we proposes the method to improve the quality of the image through the edge extraction more delicately. Our method is named ESII (Edge Sensitive Image Interpolation) and doesn't use the fixed parameter of the interpolation kernel. However, it changes the parameter of pixel which is interpolated to the high definition image using the proper information from the surrounding pixels. It reconstructs the image by using the LSE(Least Square Error) and determining the pixel values to make the CME(Camera Modelling Error) minimized. Compared to the conventional methods, suggested method shows the higher quality of subjective and objective image definition and lessons the computational complexity by separating the image into 1-D data.

        큐레이터십을 연구하기: 미술관 큐레이터의 전문직업성을 중심으로

        본고는 큐레이터십을 ‘직업으로서의 큐레이터’를 연구할 수 있는 개념적 틀로 제안하고, 미술관 큐레이터의 전문직업성을 구성하는 이론적, 실천적 자원을 고찰한다. 이를 위해 큐레이터의 직무를 학자, 저자, 문화적 일꾼이라는 이념형적 모델로 제시하고 특히 각각의 직무가 박물관/미술관 제도의 탄생 및 개념 변화와 연동되며 서로 다른 방식으로 정의되고 착종되는 과정을 추적했다. 이러한 접근은 큐레이터가 되고자 자격을 획득하는 방식, 직업인으로서 살아남기 위한 기술, 유동적으로 변화하는 업계의 상황을 총체적으로 고려한다. 결과적으로 큐레이터십은 예술에 관한 지식과 기예의 축적 및 발현뿐만 아니라, 끊임없는 긴장과 모순의 상황에 대응하는 불확실하고 불확정적인 커리어 구축 과정으로도 이해할 수 있다. 본고는 큐레이터십이 사회역사적 맥락에 대응하여 유동적으로 변화하는 사회적 구성물임을 환기하고, 그간 작가나 작품에 가려 주변화되거나 누락되는 큐레이터의 삶, 행위, 노동을 이론적 사유의 장에 초대한다는 점에서 박물관/미술관학 연구에 새로운 관점을 제공할 것이다. This paper argues that curatorship serves as a conceptual framework for studying the “curator as a profession.” This framework examines the professionalism of curatorship by exploring it both theoretically and practically. The ideal-type model of a curator encompasses three different roles and identities: the scholar, the author, and the cultural worker. We trace how each role and identity is defined and reshaped alongside the emergence and evolution of museums. This comprehensive approach considers the process by which individuals obtain qualifications for curatorship, the skills essential for professional sustainability, and the constantly evolving dynamics of the field. Ultimately, curatorship is understood not only as the professional accumulation and expression of knowledge and artistry but also as an uncertain and indefinite process of career construction that continually responds to tensions and paradoxical situations within the museum field. As such, this research defines curatorship as a social construct responsive to socio-historical contexts. It offers a fresh perspective in museum studies by initiating a theoretical discourse on the lives, actions, and labor of curators, which are often overshadowed or neglected in discussions within the field of contemporary art.
