A 11-year-old female mixed cat with subcutaneous mass around the left 5th mammary glands was presented to local animal hospital. According to history taking, the mass recurred 2 times on the same site of abdomen. After surgical excision, subcutaneous mass was referred to Pathology Department of Veterinary Medicine in the Jeju National University. Grossly, round to oval, milky yellow or pale red nodules, measuring 0.1${\sim}$1 cm in diameter, were occupied in the subcutis. Microscopically, the most neoplastic sweat glands were proliferated in the dermis and subcutis. Most tubules were lined by round to oval shaped epithelium with eosinophilic cytoplasm, hyperchromatic nuclei with high mitotic figures and severe central necrosis. The neoplastic epithelium also had periodic acid-Schiff-positive diastase-resistant cytoplasmic granules, but was negative for Perl's iron stain. Based on the gross, histopathologic and special staining, this cat was diagnosed as apocrine sweat gland adenocarcinoma. In our best knowledge, this is the first report of apocrine sweat gland adenocarcinoma around abdominal mammary gland in a cat.

본 연구에서는 NRC T형 보를 대상으로 한 휨실험을 통하여 강판거푸집 유무에 따른 NRC 보의 휨거동을 RC 보와 함께 평가하였다. RC 보 실험체에 비해 NRC 보 실험체의 최대 실험내력은 강판거푸집 유무에 따라 4.53∼37.5% 크게 나타났으며, 휨강성 또한 크게 나타나 처짐제어에 효과적인 것으로 평가되었다.
정밀금형용 SKD61 강의 복합표면처리에 의한 표면신뢰성 향상

Purpose: The lifespan of a die-casting steel mold depends on its surface hardness and wear resistance. Gas nitriding treatments for forming surface hardening layers have been widely applied to fabricate reliable die-casting molds. In the present study, we propose a complex surface treatment consisting of a micro-shot peening process and a sulfo-nitriding treatment to improve the surface hardness of SKD61 mold steel. Methods: The cross-sectional microstructure of the complex surface-treated SKD61 mold steel was observed using an optical microscope and a scanning electron microscope. The phase of the surface hardening layer was analyzed using an X-ray diffractometer. The micro-hardness and residual stress of the complex surface-treated SKD61 mold steel were evaluated as well. Results: The surface hardening layer consisted of the top-most compound layer and a diffusion layer. The micro-shot peening pretreatment increased the thickness of the compound layer. The general nitriding (GN) treatment led to the formation of the FexN compound layer, while the sulfo-nitriding (SN) treatment led to the formation of the FexN and FeS composite compound layer, which was thicker than the compound layer of the GN specimen. The hardness of GN and SN hardening layers improved by 125% and 135%, respectively, relative to that of the as-received SKD61 mold steel with a hardness of 450 HV. Conclusion: The SN treatment formed a reliable hardening layer with superior hardness than the GN treatment. Furthermore, the thicker sulfo-nitride compound layer produced by the SN treatment can further improve the lifespan of SKD61 steel molds.
SD600 이형철근과 GFRP 보강근을 사용한 콘크리트 보의 휨강도

콘크리트 보에서 FRP 보강근을 인장근으로 사용할 경우 FRP 보강근이 항복구간이 없는 재료적 특성상 인장강도에 도달후 취성적 파괴가 일어나거나, 압축측 콘크리트가 압괴로 최종파괴된다. 하지만 FRP 보강근과 이형철근을 혼용하여 사용할 경우, FRP 보강근의 파단이 일어나더라도 이형철근이 2차적인 내력을 발휘하여 연성적인 거동을 할 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이단배근 형태로 GFRP 보강근과 SD600 이형철근을 혼용하여 이중복합근을 가지는 콘크리트 보의 휨강도 및 변형성능을 평가하기 위해 휨실험을 실시하였다. 실험결과, 이중복합근을 가지는 실험체의 휨 강도가 SD600 철근으로 일단배근된 실험체에 비해 46% 높은 휨강도를 가지는 것으로 나타났다.

This study has been begun to find the cause of 3-cylinder diesel engine piston damage. The piston reciprocating motion for high speed under high temperature and high pressure should use the material featuring heat - resistance, wear - resistance and strong for heat expansion. Material analysis to verify that the proper material were used, damage to the piston of the engine through a liquid penetrant inspection to check the defective portion was the progress of the defect size and defect was confirmed. Based on the that result we changed the shape of the piston bore, the inner edge and thickness change of the model was designed to reinforce the strength. We used finite element method to compare existing piston with engineering product to an original product of stress distribution. We also compared that result with existing product for verification of reinforced strength model. Of the result of analysis, the comparison value of von Mises stress and S22 stress is decreased. The changed shape of the piston bore model is verified to be the safest structurally.

In this study, simulation on the powder compression forming of oilless bearing is performed and the analysis results are compared with the actual products. This study aims to examine the suitability of powder compression for bearing by using FEA(finite element analysis) before full-scale production. The lubrication state can be predicted by changing the coefficient of friction in order to get the optimal density gradient. Analysis for single and double action presses are performed and these results are compared with each other. State and process of optimal lubrication are proposed from the study result.

강재 거푸집 내부에 콘크리트를 채워넣어 형성하는 충전형 합성보 중 하나인 TI 보의 전단경간비(2.0, 2.5)에 따른 전단강도를 분석하기 위하여 전단실험을 실시하였다. 실험 결과로부터 전단경간비가 2.5에서 2.0으로 감소함에 따라 TI 보의 전단강도는 13.3% 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. Shear test was conducted to analyze shear strengths according to shear span ratio (2.0∼2.5) of TI beams, one of the infilled-type composite beams formed by filling concrete inside the steel mold. From the experimental results, it was found that as the shear span ratio decreased from 2.5 to 2.0, the shear strength of the TI beam increased by 13.3%.
