How do you know that who hit your vehicle while it was parked and when nobody saw it? Obviously, you cannot do anything expect disappointing yourself and go to the garage for the repair. Or what do you do if you want to show the evidence to police about the person who involved in hitting your vehicle or car? For all these kind of questions, we can find the solution using the new advanced system in the vehicles called ‘Black Box’ which records the data while you are driving the vehicle or even when it is parked. This paper explains about the major applications of ‘Black Box’ and its hardware functionalities.

Gitelman syndrome is a condition caused by a mutation of the thiazide sensitive Na-Cl cotransporter gene on the distal convoluted tubule. It results in a variety of clinical features, including hypokalemia, hypomagne-semia, hypocalciuria, and metabolic alkalosis. It is often diagnosed in asymptomatic adults presented with unexplained hypokalemia; however, it is sometimes associated with muscular cramps, numbness, fatigue, weakness, or paralysis. We experienced a case of rheumatoid arthritis accompanied by Gitelman syndrome, presented with hand tremor. We diagnosed her using renal clearance study and genetic analysis. Here, we report our experiences regarding this case along with a literature review.
분산환경에서 멀티에이전트 상호협력을 통한 신뢰성 있는 정보검색 기법

인터넷이 널리 보급되면서 지능형 검색 에이전트들이 사용자의 요구를 만족시키기 위해 일반화되어 사용되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 지능형 멀티에이전트들은 서로 독립적으로 사용되어 멀티에이전트들 간의 분산된 정보를 원활하고 효율적으로 처리하기 위한 상호 협력 작용이 부족해 정보의 신뢰성이 낮고 동적으로 변화하는 분산 환경에 대처하기가 어렵다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 멀티에이전트간의 효율적인 상호 협력과 빠른 정보처리를 위해 브로커 에이전트에 에이전시를 생성하고 신경망을 이용해 멀티에이전트들의 에이전시들을 분류하여 더욱 신속정확한 정보를 사용자에게 제공하도록 한다. 또한 정보의 신뢰성을 위해서 에이전트 관리기법을 제안하여 기존의 검색 시스템이 가지고 있는 정보갱신문제를 향상시키고, 시뮬레이션을 통해 본 연구의 성능을 평가한다. As the internet is widely distributed, the intelligent search agent is commonly used to meet the needs of user. But these Intelligent multi-agents are so independent each other that they can not give reliability of information and also have difficulty in coping with the dynamic distributed environments due to the short of cooperation abilities among multiagent. To resolve these problems, this paper proposes the mechanism for efficient cooperation and information processing by creating agency within broker agent and clustering multiagent`s agency using neural network. For reliability of information, we also propose the multiagent management mechanism that can improve the information update problems which are in existing search systems and evaluate the performance of this research through simulation.

Normal filtering is an effective mesh denoising technique where perturbed normals are first rectified followed by vertex adjustment on a new normal field. However, in most filters, important features such as edges, corners or small-scale details are not preserved, or shape distortions inevitably occur during normal refinement. This is due to the characteristic that a filter generally takes measurement signal as a centroid of the range filter. In this paper, we propose a joint bilateral filter that uses the reference data obtained by analyzing the measurement data itself. The algorithm classifies every face into feature or non-feature face, and normal filtering is then performed on non-feature and feature face separately. The proposed normal filter outperforms the other methods for highly corrupted mesh surface, even for impulse noise.
피부과 환자 및 피부과 전문의들의 온천스파 요법 인식도 설문 조사

Background: Balneotherapy, although not a well-established treatment, has been used for dermatologic diseases from ancient to modern times. However, there is little knowledge regarding the current awareness of balneotherapy in dermatologic patients and dermatologists. Objective: To understand the current situation of balneotherapy, we first evaluated the utilization and awareness of balneotherapy among dermatology outpatients and dermatologists. Methods: A written questionnaires were completed by 183 outpatients who visited the Department of Dermatology at a University Hospital. Online questionnaires were completed by 37 dermatologists. Results: Only a small percentage of the outpatients used thermal springs/spas for therapeutic purposes. On the contrary, 93% of them used it for leisure and rest. Most outpatients thought the cleanliness of water is the most important factor in thermal springs/spas. Both outpatients (81%) and dermatologists (81%) regarded balneotherapy as a medically unestablished folk remedy. Though regarded as a folk remedy, almost all outpatients (98%) thought that balneotherapy helps improve general health problems, such as fatigue and skin diseases, or conditions related to blood circulation, pain, and joint/muscle. Participants thought that dermatology and rehabilitation medicine can be connected to balneotherapy. Although they thought that balneotherapy can improve general health, most dermatologists (70%) mentioned that it is difficult to judge the efficacy of balneotherapy owing to the lack of sufficient evidence. Conclusion: Although not yet considered as a confirmative therapeutic modality owing to the lack of medical verification, there is positive recognition and outlook for the effect of balneotherapy in Korea. To offer precise information to patients, more attention from dermatologists would be needed to confirm its actual efficacy. (Korean J Dermatol 2017;55(2):104∼109)

Augmented reality based on projection, called “Spatial augmented reality(SAR)”, is a new technology that can produce immersive contents by overlapping virtuality and real-world environment. It has been paid attention as the next generation digital contents in media art and human-computer interaction (HCI). In this paper, we present a new methodology to evaluate the product appearance design more intuitively by means of SAR technique. The proposed method first projects the high-quality rendered image considering the optical property of materials onto the mock-up of a product. We also conduct a projector-camera calibration to compensate a color distortion according to a projector, a projection surface and environment lighting. The design evaluation methodology we propose offers more flexible and intuitive evaluation environment to a designer and user (evaluator) than previous methods that are performed via a digital display. At the end of this research, we conduct a case study for designing and evaluating a new refrigerator design.
계통 연계형 인버터의 DC-Link 전압 가변을 통한 소형 풍력발전 시스템의 MPPT 제어

In this paper, the Maximum Power Point Tracking(MPPT) control of the small scale wind power generation system with a three-phase diode rectifier and the grid-connected inverter is studied. Without the need for the converter circuits to control speed of the generator, it is economical and the structure is simple. Compared with existing systems, it can be to reduce the power semiconductor switches and passive elements, and to implement the MPPT control with only DC-Link voltage control of the grid-connected inverter. In order to allow MPPT control without the characteristic information of the wind turbine, the P&O algorithm is applied, and these are verified by the simulation and experiment.

본 논문에서는 비누막의 광학적인 렌더링 보다 비누막이 가지는 기하(geometry)에 초점을 맞춘다. 우리는 사실적인 비누막의 모델링과 동적 변형 시뮬레이션 위해 이산미분기하(discrete differential geometry)를 기반으로 한 비누막의 변형 모델을 제안한다. 이산미분기하를 고려함으로써 기존의 물리적인 특성뿐만 아니라 물체의 기하적인 특성까지 반영할 수 있다. 비누 성분의 물리적인 특성인 표면 장력으로부터 비누막 표면이 가지는 에너지를 정의하고, 에너지로 인해 발생하는 내부 힘을 찾기 위해 평균 곡률(mean curvature)과 관련된 이산미분기하 연산자(discrete differential geometry operator)를 이용하였다. 제안하는 방법은 여러 형태의 경계선에 대해서 강건한 결과를 보이고 실시간 시뮬레이션이 가능하다.
