The purpose of this study is to examine the determinants of foreign workers`` turnover intention in Korean company. Usually, turnover intention of foreign workers are affected by the level of interaction adjustment in domestic market, So, we are going to analyze firstly the effecs of pre- determinants of foreign workers`` interaction adjustment, such as job characteristics, support of organization, and cultural distance. In this process, we are focused on the effect of foreign workers`` fellow countrymen. We assume that the assessment by fellow countrymen on their company and usual life can affect to the successful interaction adjustment of foreign workers in Korea. Finally, we will analyze the effects of this foreign workers`` interaction adjustment on the level of their turnover intention. For empirical investigation, questionnaire survey method is used. Questionnaire survey was held through direct visit into Korean company and personal interview with foreign workers in Busan and KyongNam area. 500 questionnaires are distributed and 176 are collected. Among this, 151 questionnaires are used in analysis. The results of statistical analysis show that organizational supports and positive assessment by their follow countrymen significantly affect to the level of interaction adjustment in Korean company. However, we did not find out the significant effects of job characteristics and cultural distance on the level of interaction adjustment. And finally we confirm that the level of interaction adjustment has negative effect on the level of turnover intention of foreign workers.

Since the 2013 revision of the Toxic Chemicals Management Act to the Chemical Substances Control Act, the evaluation of how internal and external environmental changes affect legal systems for facilities handling hazardous chemicals is crucial for prospective system enhancements. Through an analysis of news and civil complaints from 2014 to 2023, it was observed that both external news and internal civil complaints related to handling facilities peaked in 2019, declining as the legal system stabilized. News trends were tracked using Term Frequency(TF), while civil complaints were assessed using TF-IDF (Inverse Document Frequency) to identify significant keywords. The entity name analysis algorithm, Structured Support Vector Machine, was applied to investigate keyword relationships. Among the notices concerning handling facilities, civil complaints related to small quantity standards and small quantity handling facilities were the highest. Inquiries regarding damage reduction facility standards, such as bund walls and detectors, ranked prominently, suggesting a need for policy service improvements in this area.
SiCl4 누출 시 수막설비의 방재효과에 대한 수치 해석 연구

Silicone tetrachloride (SiCl4) leak accidents cause enormous human and environmental damage because it is highly toxic. Some handling facilities use water curtains to reduce the impact range of SiCl4. Although the water curtain is known as one of the most efficient technologies for post-release mitigation, its effect on reducing SiCl4 concentration needs to be investigated scientifically and quantitatively. In this study, three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) was used to investigate the physical and chemical effects of water curtains as a release-mitigation system for SiCl4. SiCl4 is released and dispersed five seconds prior to the operation of the water curtain. Once the water curtain works, the SiCl4 reacts chemically with the water and its concentration decreases rapidly; it reaches an emergency response planning guidelines level 2 (ERPG-2) of 5 parts per million (ppm) at about 570 m. We observed, however, that the physical effect of water curtains on reducing SiCl4 concentration is insignificant when the chemical effect is eliminated. These results are crucial since they can be a scientific and quantitative basis for the 'technical guidelines for estimating the accident affected range'. In order to protect the public from chemical accidents, more toxic gas mitigation technologies need to be developed.

- The Chemical Substances Control Act of South Korea mandates submission of transportation plans containing information on the transportation of hazardous chemicals, with over 600,000 submissions recorded annually. In this study, big data analysis was performed on 2,506,985 transportation plans to identify trends and assess their correlation with chemical transportation accidents. The analysis confirmed that despite NaOH accounting for 20.7% of transportation plans, HCl constitutes 40% of chemical transportation accidents, which indicates a correlation of these accidents with the chemical properties of hazardous substances rather than with the number of submitted transportation plans. Furthermore, chemical transportation accidents show a higher probability of occurrence in the 6–8 am and 6–8 pm windows, which is in agreement with higher incidence and fatality rates. The departure points of transportation plans are closely related to the characteristics of local chemical industrial complexes such as Ulsan, Yeosu, and Gunsan, whereas the arrival points are closely related to Pyeongtaek, Hwaseong, and Icheon, which are the locations of semiconductor industries. Ultimately, achievement of safety by consideration of characteristics of transported chemicals, enhancement of driver concentration during specific times, and implementation of preventive measures tailored to local government characteristics are strategies anticipated to contribute to a reduction in chemical transportation accidents.
