This paper presents flow characteristics of a sweeping jet issued by a feedback-free fluidic oscillator. Overall flow characteristics of feedback-free sweeping jet (FFSJ) were analyzed using flow visualization. The feedback-free sweeping jet has a sinusoidal external flow pattern. The oscillating frequency of the FFSJ is three times higher than that of a conventional sweeping jet at the same Reynolds number. Flow structure and turbulence characteristics were investigated using time-resolved particle image velocimetry (TR-PIV). In instantaneous velocity fields, the flow did not stay at ends but changed the direction continuously in contrast to the conventional sweeping jet. Velocity distributions at each plane which were extracted from mean velocity field has Gaussian distribution, which is similar with a circular jet. The sweep angles were constant as 45° at all Reynolds numbers in the high flow rate regime.

Twelve cases in eleven patients with segmental bone defects were treated with contralateral fibula free flap and ipsilateral island fibula flap in an antegrade, retrograde or bidirectional flow fashion. Five cases were managed with free flaps and seven were with ipsilateral fibula island transfer. Among seven cases, antegrade fashion was three, retrograde was three, and bidirectional was one. All patients were related with open tibial fractures and its sequelae except one who had open foot bone fracture. According to Gustilo's classification, ten patients were type IIIb and one was type IIIc. Basically, antegrade-flow flaps based on the peroneal vessels as in the conventional free flap were used for the proximal or middle one-third tibial defects. On the contrary, retrograde-flow flaps based on the communicating branch between the peroneal and posterior tibial vessels were used for the middle or distal one-third of the tibia. Bidirection-flow flap based on intact peroneal vessels were used for the middle portion of the tibia. The patients who have undergone ipsilateral fibula island flap had one of the following problems: a previously failed free flap, below-knee amputation of the opposite leg because of open tibial fracture, refusal to use the contralateral sound leg, or poor general condition to stand a lengthy operation. Six of the patients who have got ipsilateral fibula island flap also had an associated fibula fracture on the same leg, which was ultimately used as one of the osteotomy sites. The follow-up period was from 1 to 10 years. Two cases of free flap were failed: one patient had below-knee amputation and the other patient had ipsilateral fibula transfer. Other cases were successful and excellent hypertophy of the transferred fibula was achieved. Time to bone union ranged from 4 to 11 months. Time to full weight bearing was from 5 to 13 months after surgery. All of the transferred fibulas showed hypertrophy after weight bearing. In one case, stress fracture was developed during ambulation, which was healed conservatively. Nonunion occurred in two cases, which were treated with a long leg cast and cancellous bone graft, respectively. Length discrepancy of the legs was noted. The limb was shorter by an average 0.5 cm in three cases, longer by 1.1 cm in one case. In the case of island fibula transfer, limited arc of rotation was not a problem. Other disabling complications were not seen. We believe that these diverse modalities using a vascularized fibula will make us more comfortable to handle major bone defects.

For high performance ac drives, the speed sensorless vector control and a speed control algorithm base on the Fuzzy PI controller have received increasing attention. A Fuzzy PI controller is used for robust and fast speed control and space vector modulation method is used for PWM wave generation In this proposed system. The computer simulation results show that the proposed controller are more excellent control characteristics than conventional PI controller in transient-state and steady-state response.
1970-80년대 일본 추리소설 속 소년범죄의 등장에 따른 변화 고찰

Nowadays it is not difficult to find a novel dealing with juvenile crime in Japanese mystery stories. Concerning the publication of novels featuring Japanese juvenile crimes after the post-war period, the 1970s saw a surge in juvenile crimes in mystery novels. Accordingly, this paper analyzed the social correlation between mystery novels and juvenile crimes from the 1970s to 1980s. This is part of an attempt to examine changes in Japanese mystery stories along with how the juvenile crimes were successfully established as a key component. Mystery stories in its early days were once almost exclusively confined to characters of “white”, “nobleman”, “adult”, and “male,” such as ‘Sherlock Holmes’, with boys’ presence rather sparse. Later, boys appeared in mystery stories. It can be said that it started from the 1970s as Seichi Morimura, a Japanese mystery novelist, began to use the juvenile crimes as its subject and gained popularity. Morimura’s works proved that a boy can be a ‘criminal’ with the shocking effects of a twist because the readers could hardly have thought that a young, seemingly naive boy could kill somebody on purpose. Also, by depicting boys who were socially evil in Hajime Komine’s Arukemedesuwa Tewo Yogosanai(1973), readers began to recognize boys as a group of evil and as a subject with no difference from adults. In Keigo Higashino’s Hokago(1985), a high school girl not only plans a secret scheme, but also fools the detective and emerges as an excellent criminal. Here, a juvenile crime and tricks are perfectly blended into each other. Finally, the roles of victims, perpetrators and detectives are all played by female high school students in Yukito Ayatsuji’s Hiiro no Sasayaki (1988). the mystery stories describes the images of “young” and “female” beyond the framework of “adult” and “male.” Furthermore, the motives for the murder by girls are no longer related to social phenomena, and it separates juvenile crimes in mystery novels from social issues and uses them as a means of sheer entertainment. To sum up, juvenile crime, which was then a social problem in the 1970s and 1980s, was drawn on as a subject of mystery stories, and novels dealing with juvenile crimes proved entertaining and popuplar. At the same time, mystery stories gave boys both criminal and detective roles and broke away from the stereotype of the genre, which had been symbolized as Sherlock Holmes. Since then, it has become easier to find detective stories dealing with a juvenile crime, and the share of works involving boys and especially girls began to rise. Based on these changes, the mystery stories successfully introduced various works dealing with juvenile crimes to public since 1997 when the Kobe child serial killing incident occurred and the social awareness of juvenile crime increased rapidly.
순환골재 종류에 따른 실물모형 철근콘크리트 보의 휨거동에 관한 실험적 연구

The production of waste concrete has been increased continuously by urban renewal and reconstruction, and positive use of recycled concrete aggregates has been needed. Although many studies were reported on material properties, workability of recycled aggregate concrete, there are no appropriate design recommendations for structural members using recycled aggregate concrete. In this paper, nine reinforced concrete beams using recycled aggregates were tested to evaluate their failure mode, behavior characteristic, shear behavior and crack pattern of reinforced concrete beams with flexural failure mode. Also, flexural strength of recycled aggregate concrete beams were compared with KCI code. Based on the experimental results, reinforced concrete beams with recycled aggregate used within this study can be possible to apply to structure.
