본 논문은 서구철학의 사유범주를 비판적으로 검토하기 위한 작업의 일환이다. 이곳에서는 가장 중요한 범주의 하나로 철학적 최상급을 검토한다. 본 논문은 우선 서구의 주요 철학자들, 대표적으로 플라톤, 데칼트, 칸트 철학의 주축을 이루는 주요 개념들이 철학적 최상급임을 지적한다. 플라톤의 형상은 존재론적 최상급이며, 데칼트의 방법적 회의의 원리가 되었던 절대 확실성의 이념은 인식론적 최상급, 그리고 칸트 윤리학의 기초를 이루는 선의지나 정언명령은 윤리적 최상급의 전형이다. 두 번째로 이들 철학자들이 최상급적 존재를 상정한 주요 논거를 검토한다: 그들은 주로 비교급적 진술의 준거로, 지향적 활동의 최종 목표지점으로서, 술어의 의미 근거가 되는 속성의 전형으로, 그리고 의미 규칙론적 입장에서 최상급적 존재를 상정하였다. 최상급의 논리를 검토한 후, 본 논문의 세 번째 부분에서는 이들 논리와 개념들의 문제점을 규명한다. 의미 규칙론과 관련하여 규칙을 상정함이 논리적 역설을 유발함을, 그리고 속성 전형론과 관련하여 전형적 속성이란 오히려 경험적 속성에 의존함을 지적한다. 나아가 절대 확실성의 개념이란 논리적으로 부조리함을, 그리고 의미 있고 실질적인 윤리적 가치나 덕목은 대부분의 사람들에 의해 실현될 수 있는 것이어야 함을, 따라서 윤리적 술어문장의 의미는, 이들 대부분이 진리임을 논리적으로 요청함을 논한다. 본 논문은 결론에서 철학적 최상급의 개념과 이에 기초한 사고법에 대한 대안으로, 비교급적 패러다임의 사고법을 제안한다. This paper is a critical study on one of the central philosophical categories of the West: the philosophical superlative. This paper consists of three parts. In the first part, I point out that the central concepts of major western philosophers are the typical cases of the philosophical superlative: Plato’s Eidos is an ontological superlative, Descartes’ cogito is an epistemological superlative, and Kant’s categorical imperative is an ethical superlative. The second part of this paper examines the logics and arguments for the philosophical superlatives. Main reasons suggested for positing the philosophical superlatives are the following: we need the criteria for comparative judgements; there must be end-point of our intensional activities; the philosophical superlatives are the ontological basis for empirical properties: they serve as universal rules for all kinds of rule-following actions such as performing ethical actions and using predicates. In the last part, I critically examine the above arguments. 1) Positing universal rules entails a logical paradox, as Wittgenstein points out. 2) Contrary to traditional views, the notion of philosophical superlatives depends upon comparative judgements. 3) The ideal of logically infallible knowledge is problematic, since the notion of knowledge is formed because of the possibility of error. 4) For ethical and epistemic values and ideals to be meaningful and material, they ought to be something that can be achieved by majority of people. As a coclusion, I propose a paradigm of comparative thinking, which I believe may be found in Eastern conceptions of mind and reason(Li 理 or Gyul).

유아과학 교수자료 수집을 위한 한국 전래 그림동화의 내용분석

This study investigated illustrated Koran fairy tales as material for teaching kindergarten science. The 64 books selected for this study were analyzed by the standards set forth in the Exploring Life segment of the 5th Revision of Kindergarten Teaching Procedures (1993). The story-structure strategy was based on the structural pattern suggested by Moen(1991). Results showed that the structural elements of the illustrated fairy tales could be classified into 7 categories and 8 types of content patterns. After validating the adaptability of the fairy tales for use in teaching Kindergarten science, the books were cataloged by type and category.

This paper is the first of critical studies on two central phiosophical categories of the West: the truth and the philosophical superlative. In this paper I critically examine the universality of the truth, and argues that the concept of truth is peculiar to the West. This paper consists of three parts. In the first part, I suggest that the following factors contributed to the formation of the concept of truth in the West: 1) A horizontal critical discussion-culture of the Ancient western society; 2) Historicity of the concept of truth and epistemological democracy; 3) Exclusive dichotomy between mind and body. The second part argues that three features of ancient Greek language also contribute to the formation of the concept of truth: western view on language and the concept of meaning; the use of definite articles in western languages and the concept of abstract entity; the veridical sense of Greek verb einai. In the last part, I point out the similiariy between the notion of hidden truth and the concept of other mind, and argue that the two notions have same logical difficulties. In this argument I refer to Wittgenstein and D. Davidson.

스토리텔링을 활용한 네일아트 디자인 연구 작품제작을 중심으로

본 연구에서는 우리나라 조선설화집 에 나오는 해와 달과 별의 스토리를 가지고 중심 어를 도출하여 색채이미지와 단어 연상이미지를 바탕으로 스케치에 서부터 디자인 도출과정을 디자인 프로세스의 형식으로 스토리텔링을 활용한 네일아트 디자인 발상에 창의적인 작품제작 과정을 연구하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 거짓말에서 연상되는 단어로 새빨간 거짓말, 피노키오, 가면, 양치기 소년등과 같은 단어들 중 거짓말의 두 얼굴을 가면으로 표현하였다. 베네치아 가면과 중국경극의 가면 등의 이미지를 디자인의 요소로 스케치하여 주제어에서 연상되는 거짓말을 색채이미지 표에서 남을 속이려는 동적인 느낌의 화려함으로 선정하여 빨강, 파랑, 초록의 색의 보색과 반대색 관계의 화려함 속에 약간의 탁한 색채로 거짓말의 이면에 담긴 탁한 요소를 표현하였다. 둘째, 공포와 두려움의 연상단어로 흑조, 해골, 악마. 뭉크-절규의 이미지를 디자인의 요소로 공포에 동공이 확대된, 손으로 눈을 가리고 싶은 마음을 스케치하여 색채이미지 표의 동적이고 경직된 딱딱함이 느껴지는 어두운 다크 톤과 다크 그레이 톤의 빨강, 파랑, 보라, 노란 색을 사용하여 두려움을 표현하였다. 셋째, 탈출의 연상단어를 사다리, 비상구, 감옥, 쇠창살 의 디자인요소를 쇠창살을 붙잡고 있는 죄수의 이미지를 스케치하여 색채이미지 표에 동적임과 탈출의 의지를 기본 톤의 파란색을 주조 색으로 하고 하얀색을 써서 명도차를 크게 하여 탈출하고픈 강한 마음을 표현하였다. 넷째, 기도의 연상단어인 아맨, 십자가, 합장, 성경책을 디자인의 요소로 기도할 때 손을 모으는 합장의 이미지를 스케치 하여 색채이미지 표에서 기도의 느낌을 정적이고 간절함의 시간이 길게 느껴짐을 회색으로 정하고 명도차를 두어 간절함을 표현 하였다. 다섯째, 영생, 구원의 연상단어로 천국, 무지개, 에덴동산, 성배(Holy Grail)의 디자인 요소로 천국으로 가는 계단과 영원의 삶을 의미하는 성배를 함께 스케치에 표현하고 색채이미지 표 에서 동적인 느낌과 하늘로 올라가는 가벼움의 채도를 사용하여 라이트 톤의 빨강 , 오렌지, 노랑, 초록, 연두, 파랑 색을 사용하여 행복한 영원의 삶을 표현하고자 하였다. 이렇듯 스토리텔링의 구성 요소를 조선설화집 속 한편인 해와 달과 별의 이야기를 통해 주관적인 사고의 디자인을 본 연구자는 아크릴 물감으로 평면아트기법을 사용하였으나 다양한 기법을 활용하여 더욱 창의적이고 상상력의 예술적인 작품시도를 통한 연구가 필요하다고 사료된다. Third ,to escape reminiscent of the word ladder, fire escape, prison, bars and bars of the design elements that capture color images by sketching an image of a prisoner in the table is dynamic and escape the will of the fundamental tone of the Blue Color of the casting color brightness difference White to escape using a big strong heart that was expressed. The components of the storytelling of the sun, moon, and stars in the Korean folk tale subjective thinking through the design of hand this writer a flat acrylic paint art technique utilizing a variety of techniques, but a more creative and artistic work of the imagination to try through research should be needed.
