포스트휴머니즘이 표현된 전자의수(電子義手)활용의 네일 디자인 연구

본 연구의 목적은 포스트휴머니즘의 시대에 네일 디자인뿐만 아니라 다양한 뷰티 디자인 분야의 포스트휴머니즘에 따른 뷰티 디자인 활성화를 위한 자료로의 활용을 목적으로 하며 과학과 뷰티디자인의 융합임을 시사한다. 인간의 신체와 기계의 융합이라는 포스트휴머니즘의 사회에서 포스트휴머니즘이 표현된 전자의수(電子義手) 활용의 네일 디자인을 제작하여 전자의수의 네일 디자인 이미지를 표현하였으며 이미지의 범위는 IRI 이미지스케일의 온화한, 우아한, 은은한, 점잖은, 고상한의 다섯 가지 이미지로 설정하였다. 포스트휴머니즘의 시대에서 더 이상 인체의 결함을 감추려 하지 않고 신체에 직접적인 장식이 가능해질 것이며 이를 바탕으로 외부에 노출되기 쉽고 네일 팁 디자인의 활용이 용이한 전자의수를 중심으로 연구를 진행하고자하며 색채를 중심으로 디자인하여 러프스케치를 통해 디자인 계획을 시행한다. IRI 이미지스케일의 온화한, 우아한, 은은한, 점잖은, 고상한의 다섯 가지 이미지를 각각 다섯 개의 네일 인조 팁으로 제작하며 이를 정리하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 포스트휴머니즘 시대의 전자의수를 사용하는 소수 이용자를 위한 디자인을 감성 이미지 배색인 IRI이미지 스케일을 바탕으로 온화한, 우아한, 은은한, 점잖은, 고상한의 다섯 가지 이미지로 표현한 네일아트 프로토타입을 제시하였으며 이는 포스트 휴머니즘을 반영한 새로운 뷰티 디자인의 도출을 위한 기초자료로의 의의가 있다. The purpose of the research lies on the post-humanistic society, in which represents the blending of the human body and machinery and produces the nail designs on electronic arms that represent post-humanism. The scope of the image is limited to twelve images of IRI Image Scale. Pivoting on the electronic arm, which is easy to expose and to design nail tips, the research presents nail art images that are designed according to the IRI Color Image Scale. Also, the researcher conducted this research, assuming that the post-humanistic designs or images can be applied to not only nail designs but also other beauty design areas, during the post-humanistic era. To create nail designs that are applicable for electronic arms, the researcher includes theoretical speculation, designed works, and actual production of works. The part about theoretical speculation would provide the concept and background of post-humanism and would analyze the characteristic and current status of an electronic arm, which started to appear since post-humanistic society has come. It also summarizes the concept and application of nail designs. The nail designs are based on IRI Color Image Scale, and they are produced according to adjectives that include colors, motives, and nail design techniques. Most, if not all, of the nail images are designed through rough sketches. The actual designed works are produced by making five different nail tips for each image on IRI Color Image Scale, which includes mild, elegant, delicate, decent, and refined.

목은 이색 "사군자시"의 스토리텔링을 활용한 네일아트 디자인

본 연구는 목은(牧隱) 이색(李穡) 사군자시(四君子時)의 스토리텔링(storytelling)을 활용한 네일아트 다자인 연구이다. 동양의 전통적인 특징을 잘 표현하고 있는 사군자(四君子)는 단순한 자연 식물의 속성만을 표현하는 것이 아닌 군자(君子)의 덕(德)을 지닌 식물로 유교적, 윤리도덕 사상을 표현하는 소재로 알려져 있다. 사군자는 매화(梅花), 난초(蘭草), 국화(菊花), 대나무(竹)를 일컫는 말로 문인묵화(文人墨畵)의 소재로 알려져 있으나, 중국에서는 그림의 소재이기 훨씬 전부터 시문(詩文)의 소재로 활용하였다. 사군자를 모티프로 표현하는데 있어서 스토리텔링을 활용한 새로운 아이디어 발상으로 네일아트 디자인과 융합하여 연구함으로써 창의적인 네일아트 디자인의 토대를 마련하는 것은 의의가 있다고 사료되어 본 연구를 시도하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 다양한 시각과 방법으로 네일아트 디자인의 창의성 확대를 마련하고자 하는데 목적을 두었다. 연구방법은 이색의 영매시(詠梅時), 영난시(詠蘭時), 영국시(詠菊時), 영죽시(詠竹時)의 사군자시에서 스토리의 배경적 요소를 도출하여 색채계획, 썸네일 스케치, 일러스트레이션을 통한 디자인 프로세스에 따라 스토리텔링을 활용한 네일아트 작품제작을 하여 결과에 따른 결론을 도출하였다. 결론은 다음과 같다. 작품 1은 영매시의 스토리 분석으로 봄의 아름다움을 표현한 작품이다. 라이트그린과 화이트의 폴리시를 팁 전체에 바르고, 아크릴 물감을 사용하여 꽃을 표현하였다. 아크릴릭 파우더와 브러쉬 클리너로 3D나비를 제작하고, 진주오브제를 사용하여 입체적으로 표현하였다. 작품 2는 영난시의 스토리 분석으로 사랑을 표현한 작품이다. 사랑의 신 큐피트의 상징인 활과 화살을 스티커를 이용하여 표현하였다. 레드 폴리시와 엘로우 한지를 팁 전체에 바르고, 스티커와 아크릴 물감을 사용해 따뜻하고 사랑스럽게 표현하였다. 작품 3은 영국시의 스토리 분석으로 소나무의 강인함을 표현한 작품이다. 굳은 절개의 상징성으로 소나무의 특징을 선과 면의 형태로 표현하였다. 브라운과 다크 그린의 아크릴 물감을 팁 전체에 바르고, 블랙의 아크릴 물감으로 소나무의 뾰족한 잎을, 골드의 오브제를 사용하여 소나무 줄기와 솔방울을 표현하였다. 작품 4는 영죽시의 스토리 분석으로 삐에로의 슬픈 눈물을 표현한 작품이다. 한지를 팁 전체에 붙이고 삐에로의 얼굴을 블랙 아크릴 물감으로 그려서 표현하였다. 한지를 이용한 오브제로 깃털과 모자를 표현하고 아크릴릭 파우더와 브러쉬 클리너로 코를 만들고 실버의 폴리시를 발라 차가운 느낌을 표현하였다. This research investigated nail art design utilizing storytelling of Mogeun Lee Saek’s Poems of Four Gracious Plants. The researcher conducted this research, considering that preparation for creative basis of nail art design is significant, by applying new idea concept to nail art design utilizing storytelling in expressing a motif of Four Gracious Plants. Also, based on this research, the researcher aimed at preparing creative expansion of nail art design with various sight and method. As the research method, the researcher drew a conclusion according to the result by producing nail art work utilizing storytelling along with design process through color plan, thumb nail sketch, and illustration by drawing background factors of story in the Poems of Four Gracious Plants of Mogeun Lee Saek’s Poem Youngmae, Poem Youngnan, Poem Youngguk, and Poem Youngjuk. The conclusion is as follows. Work 1 expressed the beauty of spring based on story analysis of Poem Youngmae. It expressed a flower by spreading light green and white polish on the whole tips and using acrylic color. It expressed three-dimensionally by making 3D butterfly with acrylic powder and brush cleaner, and using pearl objet. Work 2 expressed love based on story analysis of Poem Youngnan, which expressed by using sticker of bow and arrow, the symbol of Cupid, god of love. Red polish and yellow hanji were spread on the whole tips, expressing warm and lovely mood by using sticker and acrylic color. Work 3 expressed strength of pine tree based on story analysis of Poem Youngguk, which expressed the characteristic of pine tree with the shape of the line and the side to symbolize firm integrity. The re- searcher spread brown and dark green acrylic color on the whole tip, and expressed the sharp pine needle with black acrylic color, and the stem and pine cone by using gold objet. Work 4 expressed sad tear of Pierrot based on story analysis of Poem Youngjuk. The researcher expressed it by affixing hanji on the whole tip and drawing Pierrot``s face with black acrylic color. Also, expressed feather and hat with hanji objet, and expressed cold feeling by spreading silver polish after making the nose with acrylic powder and brush cleaner.

한글과 윌리엄 모리스 작품을 응용한 네일아트 디자인연구 -작품제작을 중심으로-

본 연구는 한글의 조형성과 윌리엄 모리스 작품의 컬러를 모티브로 하여 전문서적 및 문헌, 자료와 선행 연구를 이론적 고찰 하고 네일아트를 디자인 하고 작품을 제작하였다. 네일아트의 수공예적인 부분과 윌리엄 모리스가 수공예를 중시 했던 것에 맥락을 두고 윌리엄 모리스를 선택하였다. 윌리엄 모리스가 가장 행복했다는 시기에 처음으로 디자인한 벽지 격자무늬와 데이지 등의 작품에 적용된 컬러를 도출하고 한글 디자인은 본 연구자의 주관으로 행복, 꽃, 사랑, 한글, 훈민정음으로 명하였다. 현대적인 감각으로 한글의 조형적 가치를 한층 높일 수 있는 캘리그라피의 서체로 대전 참 아트 갤러리 작품인 ‘행복’과 강병규 작품의 ‘꽃’ 의 글체를 적용하여 디자인에 참신함을 꾀하고 한글의 창의적인 조형성을 네일 디자인으로 전개함으로서 내재된 심미적 아름다움을 디자인으로 표현하여 제작 하고자하였다. 작품에 적용된 기법과 재료를 통하여 다양한 방향성을 색채, 질감, 형태 등 작품으로 표현함에 있어서 네일 디자인의 표현영역을 확장하는 계기를 제공하고자 노력하였고 트렌드하고 예술적인 아름다움을 충분히 인정받고 있으나 학문적인 깊이가 적은 네일아트 분야가 앞으로 더욱 발전하기 위해 본 연구에서 다루지 못한 영역의 새로운 학문적인 디자인과 표현력을 발전시킨 창의적인 네일아트 디자인 후속 논문이 끊임없이 나오기를 기대한다. 본 연구가 한글의 조형적 분석을 통한 네일아트 디자인 개발에 관한 연구를 통해 한글의 조형적 우수성과 다양성을 확대함으로서 한글의 위대한 문화유산을 네일아트 디자인으로서의 충분이 아름다운 디자인의 가능성을 제시하는데 그 의미를 두고 앞으로 본 연구가 네일 아티스트 및 네일 관련 연구자들에게 네일 아트의 이론적인 디자인발상에 적용할 수 있는 기초 자료로 네일아트 디자인의 사례를 제공하여 네일 디자인의 학술 자료로 활용될 것으로 생각한다. With the formative beauty of hangeul (Korean alphabet) and color of William Morris`` design as motives, this study attempted to express intrinsic aesthetic beauty by maintaining the formative beauty of Korean alphabet and applying human emotions which can be felt when Korean alphabet is reminded of and its formative beauty to various nail designs. Focusing on the handicraft aspect of nail art and William Morris`` arts & crafts movement, the colors applied to the designs he created during hishappiest days of his life such as checked patterns and daisy among a great number of his designs were derived. For Korean alphabet design, ``happiness``, ``flower``, ``love``, ``Korean alphabet`` and ``hunminjeongeum (ancient Korean alphabet)`` were randomly named. In addition, calligraphy which can enhance the formative value of Korean alphabet was applied with modern senses. In addition, the novelty of design and creative formative beauty of Korean alphabet were promoted in nail design by applying ``Happiness (by Cham Art Gallery in Daejeon)`` and ``Flower (by Kang Byeong-gyu)`` to the design. First, to enhance the accuracy of the colors applied to design after using the three-leaf clover as a symbol of happiness, ``L*a*b*`` colors were derived, and ``Happiness`` written in calligraphy and clover leaves were designed. After applying hand printing with acrylic colors and using parts and acrylic powder in similar color, ornamentation was emphasized with 3D flower decoration. As a result, warmness and happiness which can be felt from the vocabulary of ``happiness; were contained in the design. Second, William Morris`` ``Daisy`` and Kang Byeong-gyu``s ``Flower`` were chosen for Korean alphabet design. Using the colors derived from the designs, water-decal flowers were designed on hanji (traditional Korean paper) for background. Then, a flower was designed with acrylic colors, and it was put in the middle of the Korean alphabet ``Kkot``. Third, using the colors derived from William Morris`` ``Pomegranate`` and design factor of Korean alphabet ``Sarang``, Korean nature was designed on hanji with naturally dried greens for background. Then, using passionate red fruits which symbolize ``love``, gorgeous parts and colored jewels, it was tried to express the innocence and passion of love. Fourth, the emblem of the Kelmscott Press, a publishing company founded by William Morris in his later years, and Korean type widely used in wood printing and type printing were used. After applying a block book to the design and using the derived colors, a pattern of vine which can be found in Korean traditional patterns as well was applied with acrylic colors for background. After spraying white opal-colored powders, stones were gently laid. Fifth, using the colors derived from William Morris`` Acanthus (1874), hunminjeongeum with a scientific and formative beauty was expressed on hanji. Then, the beautiful nature of Korea including sea, river, mountain and trees were created using mother-of-pearl powder. This study intended to expand the scope of expression in nail design in expressing colors, quality of material and shape using diverse techniques and materials. Even though the trendy and artistic beauty of nail design has been recognized, there should be continued studies on new academic and creative nail art designs which haven``t been handled in this study for a further development of nail art. This study is meaningful in that it suggested the value of Korean alphabet for nail art by expanding its formative excellence and diversity through a study on the development of nail design after analyzing the formative beauty of Korean alphabet. It is expected that the study results would be available as basic data for theoretical design in nail art and academic resources for nail design by providing nail art design cases.

스토리텔링을 활용한 네일아트 디자인 연구 작품제작을 중심으로

본 연구에서는 우리나라 조선설화집 에 나오는 해와 달과 별의 스토리를 가지고 중심 어를 도출하여 색채이미지와 단어 연상이미지를 바탕으로 스케치에 서부터 디자인 도출과정을 디자인 프로세스의 형식으로 스토리텔링을 활용한 네일아트 디자인 발상에 창의적인 작품제작 과정을 연구하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 거짓말에서 연상되는 단어로 새빨간 거짓말, 피노키오, 가면, 양치기 소년등과 같은 단어들 중 거짓말의 두 얼굴을 가면으로 표현하였다. 베네치아 가면과 중국경극의 가면 등의 이미지를 디자인의 요소로 스케치하여 주제어에서 연상되는 거짓말을 색채이미지 표에서 남을 속이려는 동적인 느낌의 화려함으로 선정하여 빨강, 파랑, 초록의 색의 보색과 반대색 관계의 화려함 속에 약간의 탁한 색채로 거짓말의 이면에 담긴 탁한 요소를 표현하였다. 둘째, 공포와 두려움의 연상단어로 흑조, 해골, 악마. 뭉크-절규의 이미지를 디자인의 요소로 공포에 동공이 확대된, 손으로 눈을 가리고 싶은 마음을 스케치하여 색채이미지 표의 동적이고 경직된 딱딱함이 느껴지는 어두운 다크 톤과 다크 그레이 톤의 빨강, 파랑, 보라, 노란 색을 사용하여 두려움을 표현하였다. 셋째, 탈출의 연상단어를 사다리, 비상구, 감옥, 쇠창살 의 디자인요소를 쇠창살을 붙잡고 있는 죄수의 이미지를 스케치하여 색채이미지 표에 동적임과 탈출의 의지를 기본 톤의 파란색을 주조 색으로 하고 하얀색을 써서 명도차를 크게 하여 탈출하고픈 강한 마음을 표현하였다. 넷째, 기도의 연상단어인 아맨, 십자가, 합장, 성경책을 디자인의 요소로 기도할 때 손을 모으는 합장의 이미지를 스케치 하여 색채이미지 표에서 기도의 느낌을 정적이고 간절함의 시간이 길게 느껴짐을 회색으로 정하고 명도차를 두어 간절함을 표현 하였다. 다섯째, 영생, 구원의 연상단어로 천국, 무지개, 에덴동산, 성배(Holy Grail)의 디자인 요소로 천국으로 가는 계단과 영원의 삶을 의미하는 성배를 함께 스케치에 표현하고 색채이미지 표 에서 동적인 느낌과 하늘로 올라가는 가벼움의 채도를 사용하여 라이트 톤의 빨강 , 오렌지, 노랑, 초록, 연두, 파랑 색을 사용하여 행복한 영원의 삶을 표현하고자 하였다. 이렇듯 스토리텔링의 구성 요소를 조선설화집 속 한편인 해와 달과 별의 이야기를 통해 주관적인 사고의 디자인을 본 연구자는 아크릴 물감으로 평면아트기법을 사용하였으나 다양한 기법을 활용하여 더욱 창의적이고 상상력의 예술적인 작품시도를 통한 연구가 필요하다고 사료된다. Second, the fear and terror with words reminiscent of the Kuroshio, skeleton, devil. Munch the cry of the design elements of the image is enlarged pupil in fear, blindfolded with hands wanting to color images by sketching the table dynamic and rigid hardness felt dark ton and tons of dark Grayish Red, Blue, Violet, using the Color Yellow Bark and fears were expressed. Third ,to escape reminiscent of the word ladder, fire escape, prison, bars and bars of the design elements that capture color images by sketching an image of a prisoner in the table is dynamic and escape the will of the fundamental tone of the Blue Color of the casting color brightness difference White to escape using a big strong heart that was expressed. The components of the storytelling of the sun, moon, and stars in the Korean folk tale subjective thinking through the design of hand this writer a flat acrylic paint art technique utilizing a variety of techniques, but a more creative and artistic work of the imagination to try through research should be needed.

한지 마스크에 마블링(Marbling)을 활용한 아트 메이크업에 관한 연구 -작품제작을 중심으로-

현대예술가들은 작가의 다양한 내면심리를 자유로운 재료와 기법, 개성 있고 실험적이면서 독특한 아이디어로 자신만의 예술세계를 표출한다. 메이크업에서 자유로운 표현이 가능한 영역은 아트 메이크업으로 아트 메이크업은 조형예술의 한 분야로 기존의 재료나 형식에서 벗어나 다양한 재료의 사용과 기법의 혁신, 장르의 파괴로 구속받지 않고 자유롭게 표현되고 있다. 아트 메이크업을 통해서 인간의 다양하면서도 복잡한 내면심리를 우연의 기법을 활용해 시각적으로 형상화하여 작품을 제작하였다. 마블링 색의 조화로 인간 내면의 감정을 표현하였는데 감정을 불러일으킴에 있어 색은 무엇보다도 중요하고, 색상의 다양한 배합 방법은 다양한 정서적 느낌을 표현하기에 효과적이다. 이러한 색의 심리적 영향과 마블링의 우연적인 유기적 흐름을 활용해 조형 작업을 진행하였다. 본 연구는 아트 메이크업의 창의적인 아이디어 발상의 계기를 마련하고, 다양한 작업을 통한 작품의 구성으로 아트 메이크업의 표현의 영역을 확대하고자 하는데 본 연구의 의의와 목적을 가지고 있다. 연구 방법은 문헌을 통한 이론적 고찰 후, 다양한 조형 예술작품 속에서 표현되고 응용된 마블링 작품들을 조사, 분석하였다, 그 다음 한지 마스크에 사용할 색을 정한 후 계획성 있게 물에 마블링 물감을 떨어뜨려 저어준 다음에 비스듬히 마스크를 물속에 넣었다 빼내어 우연의 미가 표현된 아트 마스크를 제작하였다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 마블링을 한지마스크에 표현함에 있어 색채계획을 한 후에 색들을 가지고 작업하였지만 선의 유기적인 흐름으로 만들어지는 전체적인 이미지는 우연에 의해 표현된 결과로 기하학적이면서도 유기적인 선과 색의 배색조화가 표현되었다. 둘째, 표현하고자 하는 복잡하면서 미묘한 인간의 내면심리를 마블링 기법으로 적합하게 표현하고자 한데 있어서 관찰자의 시각적 입장에서 다양한 해석이 이루어지는 비언어적 커뮤니케이션의 결과로 흥미로움과 창의성을 표현해 주는 특성을 나타내고 있다. 셋째, 자연스럽고 유기적인 흐름을 통한 우연적 효과는 아트 메이크업의 표현방법에 다양성을 추구할 수 있다. 따라서 마블링기법을 마스크에 적용해 우연의 미를 표현하고자 하는 작업은 유기적인 선의 흐름과 배색을 통해 다양한 스토리를 도출할 수 있다는 가능성을 열어놓았다. 본 연구를 통해 마블링을 활용한 뷰티디자인의 표현방법과 조형작업에 적용함으로써 자유롭고 창의적인 아트메이크업의 발상과 표현영역이 확대되었으면 한다. This study is aimed to establish a turning point for the development of a creative idea in art makeup and expand the concept and expression of art makeup by configuring works through various processes. For this, marbling works expressed and applied to various formative art works have been collected and analyzed after a theoretical review on literature records. After selecting main and sub colors on the hanji (traditional Korean paper) mask, marbling colors were dropped and stirred in water. Then, the mask was taken out and put into the water, and an art mask with the beauty of Accidentality was produced. Then, the following results were obtained: First, the unique and abstract patterns in the marbling are formed through unpredictable Accidentality. In terms of theexpressive characteristics of the works which were created based on a certain plan with an addition of Accidentality, unimaginable geometric design was expressed, exceeding the intended color effects in lines and color. Second, in expression of complicated and subtle inner psychologyusing the organic and natural marbling technique, the features which express interest and creativity as the results of the nonverbal communication of diversity from the observer’s visual perspective have been described. Third, the natural and organic flow-based contingency effects can seek for diversity in the expression of art makeup. Therefore, there is a possibility that the works to express the beauty of Accidentality on the flow of lines and color expressions by applying the marbling technique to the mask can derive a lot of line and color stories. It’s been expected that this study would expand the domain for the concept and expression of liberal and creative art makeup, promote beauty design which targets diverse formative arts and make it possible to apply marbling which can derive diverse perspectives and expression methods.

호암유적 문화원형의 스토리텔링을 활용한 바디일러스트레이션에 관한 연구

오늘날 문화산업은 고부가가치의 산업으로 자리 잡았다. 문화는 다양한 상품과서비스에서 새로운 패러다임으로 다양하게 활용되고 있다. 우리 고유의 문화원형은 오랜 역사와 더불어 생활 깊숙이 쌓여 있는 문화자원이다. 이러한 문화자원은 타문화와 구별되는 매우 좋은 디자인 소재이며, 과거를 뛰어넘어 창조적 계승을 이루는 새로운 현대적 가치창조의 소재로서 거듭나고 있다. 이러한 흐름 속에서 새로운 시각으로 접근하여 구성되고 제작된 문화콘텐츠의 활용은 문화원형이 갖고 있는 특성을 스토리텔링화 하고 있으며 국.내외 전반의 영화, 애니메이션, 광고, 게임, 문학, 음악, 디자인등 다양한 요소와 결합되어 표현되고 있다. 스토리텔링을 활용한 문화원형의 등장은 대중들에게 더 쉽게 다가갈 수 있는 전략적인 소재로 자리매김하였다. 문화원형은 우리나라의 문화정체성을 내포하고 있고, 특수성과 함께 정서적인 공감대를 형성할 수 있는 보편성을 가진 창작 소재이다. 본 연구는 사료적 모티브인 ‘호암유적’의 역사적 배경과 유물을 스토리텔링 기법을 이용하여 바디일러스트레이션을 디자인하는 것은 다양한 퍼포먼스의 바디페인팅 토대마련이 필요하다고 사료된다. 이를 위해 문화원형을 활용한 스토리텔링 사례들을 살펴보고, 바디일러스트레이션 디자인을 창작함으로써 문화콘텐츠 패러다임에 부합할 수있는 뷰티디자인의 창의적 구성 접근 방법의 폭을 넓히고자 하는 목적을 가진다. 연구방법은 문화원형을 활용한 선행연구들을 고찰하여 연구의 방향을 구성하였고 각 종 서적, 충주시에서 발표한 호암유적 문화원형의 분석자료, 대중매체를 통한 이론적 고찰 후 스토리를 전개하였다. 그 다음 주제를 선정하여 중심어 도출과 사용할 색채를 선별하였다. 색채 계획을 세운 후 썸네일 스케치과정을 거쳐 바디일러스트레이션 작품을 만들어 본 연구를 진행하였다. Today, the cultural industry has been settled down as a high value- added business. Cultures are diversely used as new paradigm for various products and services. Our inherent cultural archetype is the cultural resources deeply accumulated in our lives with our long history. As a great design material differentiated from other cultures, such cultural resources are reborn as materials to create new modern values forming the creative inheritance exceeding the past. Within such flows, the use of cultural contents approached/composed/produced based on the new perspective shows the characteristics of cultural archetype through storytelling while also combining with various elements like domestic/ foreign film, animation, advertisement, game, literature, music, and design. The appearance of cultural archetype using storytelling is settling down as a strategic material to more easily approach to the public. Implying our own cultural identity, the cultural archetype is a material for creation with specialty and universality that can form a bond of emotional sympathy. In order to design body illustration by storytelling the historical background and relic of ``Hoam Site`` as a historical motif, it would be necessary to establish the basis of body painting with various performances. The objective of this study is to examine the storytelling cases using cultural archetype, and also to extend the width of the creative composition method for beauty design suitable for the paradigm of cultural contents by creating body illustration designs. Composing the research direction through the consideration of preceding researches using cultural archetype, the story was developed after the theoretical consideration of various books, analytical data of cultural ar chetype of Hoam Site announced by Chungju-si, and mass media. After selecting the theme, the keywords and colors to be used were selected. After setting up the color plan and then going through the thumbnail sketch process, the body illustration work was created for this study.
