많은 연구들을 통해 수행 속력, 효율성, 용이성, 안전성을 위하여 메모리 관리 기법들을 개선시켰다. 그러한 방법들 중에서 지역별 메모리 관리 기법은 각각의 객체 할당 위치에서 따라 정해진 지역에 할당 시키고 그 지역이 제거된다면 그 곳에 할당된 모든 객체의 메모리를 반환하는 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 메모리 제약적인 환경에서 힙 메모리 사용량을 줄이기 위해 로컬 지역을 재사용하는 방법을 제시한다. 기본 아이디어는 현재 함수가 수행될 동안 사용하지 않는 상위 로컬 지역을 재사용하는 것이다. 이러한 방법을 사용함으로써 메모리 제약적인 환경에서 메모리의 한계를 극복할 수 있을 것이다. Various researches had been devoted in purpose of improving memory management in terms of performance, efficiency, ease of use, and safety. One of these approaches is a region-based memory management. Each allocation site selects a specific region, after that allocated objects are placed in this region. Memory is reclaimed by destroying the region, freeing all the objects allocated therein. In this paper, we propose reusing of local regions to reduce heap memory usage in memory-limited environments. The basic idea of this proposal is reusing of upper local regions where objects that are allocated to these regions are not accessed until the current method is finished. We believe our method of reusing local regions is able to overcome memory constraints in memory-limited environments.
인공기저막 기반 인공와우의 주파수 분리 성능향상을 위한 인공기저막 전산모사

기저막은 달팽이관의 한 기관으로서 주파수 대역에 따라 기저막의 최대 진폭 발생 위치가 변화하여 소리를 인지할 수 있게 되며 이는 기저막의 형상에 기인한다. 본 연구에서는 인공기저막 기반의 완전 삽입형 인공와우 개발을 위한 연구의 일환으로써 주파수 분리 대역폭을 보다 확장시킬 수 있는 기저막의 형상을 제안하기 위해 설계 인자 연구를 수행하였다. 상용 유한요소소프트웨어 Abaqus 를 이용한 유한요소 해석을 통해 인공기저막의 음향 진동 특성을 예측하였으며 해석결과는 실험결과와 비교하여 검증하였다. 기저막 모델의 다양한 형상 변화와 기저막 모델에 존재하는 잔류응력에 따른 주파수 분리대역의 변화 추이를 설계 인자 연구를 통하여 제시하였다. The basilar membrane (BM), one of organs of cochlea, has the specific positions of the maximum amplitude at each of related frequencies. This phenomenon is due to the geometry of BM. In this study, as the part of the research for the development of fully implantable artificial cochlea which is based on polymer membrane, parametric studies are performed to suggest the desirable artificial basilar membrane model which can detect wider range of frequency separation. The vibro-acoustic characteristics of the artificial basilar membrane are predicted through finite element analysis using commercial software Abaqus. Simulation results are verified by comparing with experimental results. Various geometric shapes of the BM and residual stress effects on the BM are investigated through the parametric study to enable a wider detectable frequency separation range.
진행성 피부 병변을 동반한 Gorham-Stout Disease 1예

Gorham-Stout disease is a rare bone disorder that is characterized by angiomatous proliferation and results in destruction and resorption of the osseous matrix. It has variable presentations and a number of different sites may be affected, including the dermis, soft tissue, and viscera. The involved cutaneous and soft tissue lesions typically present with sponge-like, soft, brown or purple lesions. The clinical course is generally prolonged, with eventual stabilization of the affected bone; however, it is rarely fatal. There is no standard treatment defined for this disease, and variable therapies such as medical, surgical, and radiation therapy have been used. We report a case of 24-year-old man with Gorham disease who presented with progressive cutaneous lesions and severe lymphedema adjacent to the diseased bone. (Korean J Dermatol 2016;54(5):368∼371)
인공와우 주파수 분리 대역폭 확장을 위한 인공기저막 전산모사

Basilar membrane (BM), one of components of cochlea, has certain vibration position under the corresponding frequency. The range of detectable frequency range is influenced by the geometry of BM. In this study, An FE analysis of BM is performed to understand acoustic-vibratory behavior of basilar membrane. The BM model is 116mm long and its width tapers exponentially from 6.75mm to 18.2mm. Acousticstructure interaction (ASI) analysis is performed using commercial tool ABAQUS v6.10, under 1 Pa acoustic pressure state. The simulation procedure is verified through a comparison with experimental data. Then, we perform parametric study changing geometry of BM to maximize the range of detectable frequency. As a result, some trends of the bandwidth change of detectable frequency range are found. Moreover, the effect of residual stress of BM on the range of detectable frequency is examined.

This study attempted to clarify what sentences are based on an understanding of the human cognitive system. Until now, there has been a widespread understanding of whether sentences represent events in the real world or propositions that have truth-value. However, based on recent studies of cognitive psychology, brain science, and consciousness science, Sentence(utterance) is neither an event nor a proposition. An organism compares, analyzes and judges real-time sensory data input or declarative memory in the prefrontal lobe, the working memory area. Sentence is an output of such a process of speculation, inference, prediction and evaluation on the world. In order to derive these results, this paper theoretically reviewed and synthesized the achievements of brain science, consciousness science, and cognitive science so far to establish a cognitive model, and explained what sentences are based on this cognitive model.

For the robust passenger NCAP 5star and the stable neck injury performance, a new concept of passenger airbag has been required strongly. Especially, the deployment stability and the vent hole control technology of the passenger airbag should be improved. According to these requirements, the deployment stability technique has been studied and the 'Active Vent' technology has been developed. As a result, these technologies have led to achieve the robust NCAP rating and are applied to the production vehicles.
