The change of heart rates during Flack Test was observed in the pregnant women, $24{\sim}48$weeks, of gestational age, to analyze mechanical and neural regulatory factors in responses to the positive lung inflation. The results obtained were summarized as followings: 1) Endurance tine of Flack Test was 37.6 sec, in the nonpregnant women, and 25.1 sec. in the pregnant women. 2) When Flack Test was employed, heart rate was decreased in early stage of Flack Test in the pregnant women, while heart rate was increased in the nonpregnant women. 3) In the pregnant women bradycardia due to abdominal mechanical intervention in early stage of Flack Test was prominent, while tachycardia was found in the nonpregnant women. 4) During Flack Test, tachycardia due to sympathetic central reflex activation was observed immediately after bradycardia in early stage of Flack Test. 5) It may be noted that Flack Test employed in the present study is a useful model to evaluate and analyze the neural and mechanical abdominal intervention factor in response to the positive inflation of lung in pregnant women.

Recently, the PDLC(Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) is being developed lively to make a large display device using a liquid crystal. Because of low light loss, high brightness, and simple fabrication process, it is made easily to large display device, In this study, the response time and light transmittance by the applied voltage is measured to analyze the electro-optical characteristics of PDLC. The He-Ne laser is applied to the PDLC cell, the light transmittance is measured using the photodiode and the result is analyzed and displayed graphically by the digital oscilloscope. The result of comparison between the PDLC and the present LCD is used to study the potential as a display device.
ANN에 기반한 3상 PWM 컨버터의 다중 스위치 개방고장 진단 방법

For single and double open-switch faults in three-phase PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) converters, there are 21 types of fault modes depending on faulty switches, causing secondary faults in peripherals. In this paper, for diagnosing those fault modes, two-step technique based on ANNs using dc and THDs (Total Harmonics Distortions) of phase currents is proposed. Those dc and THDs are obtained through an ADALINE (Adaptive Linear Neuron) in real-time. In the first step, the ANN categorizes fault modes into six sectors in the three-phase plane. In the second step, the ANN localizes fault modes in each sector. Especially, the fault modes of both switches in the same legs are localized by comparing the number of the sampled zero current of the fault currents. The proposed method allows a real-time diagnosis with a simple and an high accuracy for the multiple open-switch faults and operates online. Simulations and experiments for a 3.7kW three-phase PWM converter confirmed the validity of the proposed diagnostic method.
