요추 추간판 탈출증 환자의 한의치료 후 디스크 흡수율 비교 및 흡수에 영향을 주는 요인 분석 연구

Objectives The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of Korean Medicine treatment on lumbar disc herniation (LDH) and predictive factors associated with disc resorption by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Methods A retrospective study was carried out in 79 lumbar disc herniation patients who had visited Haeundae Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine. Patients' diagnosis was based on MRI. MRI was performed on two or more occasions and patients were received Korean Medicine treatment within the period. The volume of each herniated disc was measured three-dimensionally and patient characteristics, interval between MRIs, herniated disc level, disc herniation type, disc migration, intactness of posterior longitudinal ligament (PLL), initial volume of herniated disc, modic change, disc resorption rate were statistically analyzed. Results The mean volumes of herniated discs before Korean Medicine treatment and after Korean Medicine treatment were 1,547.81±598.15 mm3 and 947.06±335.28 mm3, respectively. The mean resorption rate was 35.7±16.3%. Disc extent, intactness of PLL and initial volume of herniated discs were significantly correlated with resorption rate (p=0.003, p=0.001 and p=0.024, respectively). Conclusions Korean Medicine treatment is an effective conservative treatment for lumbar disc herniation. Factors such as disc migration, intactness of PLL, initial volume of herniated disc have a significant association with disc resorption rate. (J Korean Med Rehabil 2018;28(4):33-41)

Background: Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB), requiring the intensive care unit (ICU) care, has been a high-mortality condition until now. In the present study, we aimed to investigate clinical features and parameters associated with TB mortality. Methods: From August 2003 to December 2008, patients with microbiologically or histologically confirmed pulmonary TB then admitted to the ICU, were retrospectively enrolled into the study. Upon enrollment, their medical records were reviewed. Results: Forty three patients (30 males, 13 females) were included and their mean age was 63.8 years (range:17~87 years). Twelve patients died, an overall in-hospital mortality of 27.8%. The main reason for the ICU care was dyspnea or hypoxemia requiring mechanical ventilation (n=17). Other diagnoses for ICU care were hemoptysis, monitoring after procedures, neurologic dysfunction, shock, and gastrointestinal bleeding. On univariate analysis, the factors affecting the mortality were malnutrition-related parameters including Low body mass index, hypoalbuminemia, Lymphocytopenia, and hypocholersterolemia, as well as severity-related variables such as high acute physiology and chronic health evaluation (APACHE) score, number of involved Lobes, and high C-reactive protein. In addition, respiratory failure requiring mechanical ventilation and acute respiratory distress syndrome contributed to patient fatality. It was shown on multivariate analysis that respiratory failure and hypoalbuminemia were significantly independent variables associated with the mortality. Conclusion: Acute respiratory failure is the most common reason for the ICU care and also the most important factor in predicting poor outcome. In addition, our data suggest that the parameters associated with malnutrition could be possible factors contributing to mortality.

Objectives The Purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical application of conservative treatment including Chuna for acute low back pain(LBP) with scheuermann s disease Methods We used acupuncture, herbal acupuncture, herbal medicine, Chuna for this patient. This patient received hospital treatment for 14 days. Treatment effects were measured using the Verbal numberic rating scale(VNRS) and Oswestry disability index(ODI), Range of motion(ROM), Straight leg raising test(SLRT). Results After conservative treatment, the patient s pain was controlled and VNRS score was decreased. ODI , ROM and SLRT also were improved. Conclusions Korean medicine conservative treatment including Chuna has a positive effect to control pain of acute LBP with Scheuermann s disease. However, further research is needed.

In this research, we evaluated the electrical properties of polycrystalline-gallium-oxIde (Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>) thin films grown by mist-CVD. A 500~800 nm-thick Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> film was used as a channel in a fabricated bottom-gate MOSFET device. The phase stability of the β-phase Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> layer was enhanced by an annealing treatment. A Ti/Al metal stack served as source and drain electrodes. Maximum drain current (I<sub>D</sub>) exceeded 1 mA at a drain voltage (V<sub>D</sub>) of 20 V. Electron mobility of the β-Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> channel was determined from maximum transconductance (g<sub>m</sub>), as approximately, 1.39 ㎠/Vs. Reasonable device characteristics were demonstrated, from measurement of drain current-gate voltage, for mist-CVD-grown Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> thin films.
탄화규소 단결정 성장을 위한 종자결정모듈의 탄화규소-흑연 간 접합계면의 기계적 특성 평가

고온의 탄화규소 단결정성장공정에서는 탄화규소-흑연간의 열팽창계수의 차이로 인한 열응력이 크게 발생할 수 있어 흑연부재로부터 탄화규소 종자정이 분리되어 성장 중에 종자정이 떨어지는 문제가 발생할 수 있다. 그러나 이러한 탄화규소 종자정 모듈의 접합특성에 대한 연구는 현재까지 거의 보고된 바가 없다. 본 연구에서는 탄화규소-흑연 간의 접합특성을 평가하기 위해 3점 굽힘시험법을 응용한 복합모드꺾임시험(Mixed-Mode Flexure Test)을 통해 탄화규소-흑연을 서로 다른 접합제를 적용하여 접합한 시편의 접합 특성을 확인하고, 흑연 접착제의 미세구조를 분석하기 위해 라만분광법(Raman spectroscopy), X선 광전자분광법(X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy) 및 X선 전산화 단층촬영법(X-ray Computed Tomography)을 활용하였다. 이러한 일련의 과정을 통하여 선별한 접착성이 우수한 접착제를 적용하여 직경 50 mm급의 탄화규소 종자결정모듈을 제작하고, 이를 적용하여 고온의 상부종자용액성장 공정을 이용하여 공정 중 종자정의 탈락없이 성공적으로 직경 50 mm급의 탄화규소 단결정을 성장시켰다.

Corporate governance is a mechanism to coordinate the economic activities of enterprises and perform for minimizing agency and transaction costs due to conflicts of interest among the various stakeholders in order to maximize the firm value. Good corporate governance system can reduce the information asymmetry between the manager and shareholders, and allocate resources of high net present values with the reaction of the market. While corporate capital investments are the very important decisions in order to maintain the growth and survival, large cash outflow due to the capital investments could have a significant impact on the financial strength of the firm. In a related study, positive effects were found to disclose the amounts of the capital investments with the level of production expansion and productivity improvement situation. The main purpose of this study is to empirically investigate the effect of corporate capital investments on stock returns by corporate governance. The samples of 586 firms were analyzed over a period of 8 years from 2000 to 2007. The results show that stock-price responses to announcements of capital investments are significantly positive on average, particularly for the group of firms with high corporate governance index and for the non-chaebol group of firms. Further, we find that investment motives, dividend decision, and ownerships have insignificant effects on the abnormal stock returns.
상부요추와 하부요추 단분절 추간판 탈출증 환자의 임상적 특성과 한방치료 효과 비교연구

Objectives Upper lumbar disc herniation (LDH) (L1/2, L2/3) has specific anatomical characteristics and different outcome after conventional treatment compared to lower LDH (L3/4, L4/5, L5/S1). The purpose of this study was to compare the clinical features and effects of korean medical treatment of upper LDH between lower LDH. Methods We retrospectively reviewed the clinical data collected from 121 patients who was had admitted at the Haeundae Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine from June 1st, 2014 to August 31th, 2018. The patients who had treated at L1/2, L2/3 level LDH were grouped and compared with those treated at the L3/4, L4/5, L5/S1 level. We reviewed the patient characteristics such as age, the positive rate of Straight Leg Raise Test (SLR test), the presence or absence of previous lumbar surgery. Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) and Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) were evaluated at adimission and discharge. Results Mean age was significantly higher at upper LDH group and positive rate of SLR test was higher at lower LDH group. There was no significant difference of gender and previous lumbar surgery between two groups. Each group had a significant improvement of NRS, ODI scores. But between two groups, there was no significant difference of NRS, ODI scores. Conclusions Upper LDH group was older than lower LDH group. SLR test was useful tool to exclude upper LDH. Korean medical treatment was significantly effective to both upper and lower LDH groups. Further well designed prospective comparative studies are needed. (J Korean Med Rehabil 2018;28(4):43-50)

고체 로켓 추진제로 널리 사용되는 물질은 AP/HTPB 복합추진제이다. 고체 로켓 주위에 열 하중이 가해진다면(화재 등) 추진제가 발화할 수 있고, 사고의 원인이 된다. 본 연구에서는 AP/HTPB 복합추진제의 주위에 열 하중을 가함으로써 AP/HTPB의 발화특성을 확인해 보았다 The AP/HTPB composite propellant is a common choice for solid rocket propulsion. The externally heated rocket via fires, for instance, can cause the energetic substance to ignite, and this may lead to a thermal runaway event marked by a severe explosion. In order to develop preventive measures to reduce the possibility of such accidents in propulsion systems, we investigate the ignition and initiation properties of AP/HTPB propellant.
