Objectives: This study was carried out to investigate anti-oxidative effects of Taraxaci Herba (TH) and protective effects on Human HaCaT keratinocyte. Methods: Anti-oxidative effects were measured by estimating the amount of total phenolics and flavonoids. In addition, DPPH free radical scavenging activities were estimated. Protective effects of TH on HaCaT keratinocytes against oxidative stress induced by hydrogen peroxide were also measured. Results: In our results, treatment with TH did not show cytotoxicity on HaCaT keratinocyte beneath the concentration of 200 ㎍/㎖. 42.64±1.90 ㎍/㎖of total phenolics and 28.09±1.84 ㎍/㎖of flavonoids was detected from TH ethanol extract. In addition, DPPH free radical scavenging activities of TH were elevated in dose-dependent manner. In addition, The value of half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) was 165.5 ㎍/㎖. Finally, TH showed protective effect against cell death of HaCaT cell induced by hydrogen peroxide significantly. Conclusions: In conclusion, these results suggest that TH may have anti-oxidantic action in human skin and also suggest the possibility as cosmetic material.

본 논문에서는 도로 조명용 광원으로 쓰이는 메탈핼라이드램프, 고압나트륨램프, PLS의 세 가지 광원에 대해 안개 발생시 시인성을 평가하기 위해 특정한 인공 안개 조건하에서 각 광원들에 대한 피시험자들의 평가를 분석하여 명소시에는 고압나트륨램프가 시인성이 좋고 암소시에는 PLS가 시인성이 좋다는 결과를 얻었으며 이 결과는 앞으로의 도로 조명용 광원의 선택에 있어서 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. In this paper, It evaluated visibility about Metal Halide Lamp(MHL), High Pressure Sodium Lamp(HPS) and PLS(Plasma Lighting System) as Road lighting source in fog conditions. To evaluate visibility, it analyzed valuation of subjects about each light sources in special fog conditions. In result, it obtained that High Pressure Sodium Lamp has best visibility in photopic vision and PLS has best visibility in scotopic vision. This result is expected to help about select of Road lighting source.

軟 진드기류에 屬하는 가시 귀 진드기(Otobius megnini)에 對한 國內 發見報告는 없다. 今番에 1988年 6月부터 8月 사이에 韓國馬事會 뚝섬 競馬場 所屬 競走用 말 3匹로부터 外耳道 內部에서 軟 진드기류 여러마리를 採取하였으며 種屬同定 結果 國內 未記錄種인 가시 귀 진드기(Otobius megnini)로 確認되었기에 走査電子顯微鏡的 觀察寫眞과 함께 國內 最初의 發見記錄을 報告하고자 한다.

도로 조명은 야간에 운전자와 동승자 및 보행자의 안전을 도모하고 운전자에게 광학적 안내 기능을 제공한다. 그러나 안개가 발생하게 되면 도로 조명의 기능이 현저히 저하되어 사고의 위험이 증대된다. 그러나 아직까지 안개 발생시 도로 조명에 관한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 이러한 문제의 인식과 함께 현재 도로조명용 광원으로 가장 많이 쓰이고 있는 램프들에 대해 특정한 안개 조건 하에서 비교 실험하여 시인성을 비교하였다.

The membrane type LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas) cargo containment system is a special design structure for the large deformation behavior at LNG temperature(-162℃). The design of membrane is required great confidence so that membrane can plat role in the tightness of flammable fluid storing. LNG cargo containment is loaded and unloaded LNG between twice and five times in a week. During this process, the membrane has large deformation behavior due to the variation of temperature and pressure to the self weight. In this study, the evaluation of the fatigue strength of membrane is very important to determine the design life of LNG storage tank and to evaluate the mechanical properties at the LNG temperature. Also, in the view point of large deformation, the evaluation method is applied conservatively ε-N<SUB>f</SUB> curve of SUS 304L.

The purpose of this investigation was to determine the possibility of clinical use of toothash-plaster block implant material with ratio of 2 : 1 weight. We made 1cm diameter round partial thickness defect at both sides of calvaria. Right side was implanted with block and left side was not implanted as a control site. The following results were obtained : 1. In gross examinations, the implanted site had a hardness on palpation and the margin with host bone was not identified clearly at 12 weeks after operation. But control site contained the fibrous tissue. 2. In the light microscopic examinations, most of the implanted sites were repaired by newly-formed bone at 12 weeks postoperatively. 3. At 8 weeks postoperatively, the implanted particles were divided into small granules and the amount was decreased gradually. Some remained particles were united directly with newly-formed bone. But the implanted particles still remained partly at 24 weeks postoperatively. 4. There was no significnat difference between the experimental and control site at 24 weeks postoperatively.
